This cottage is absolutely adorable. The owner provides almost all household needs, to include kitchen, bath and linens. The only thing we needed to do was grocery shop. The town is cute as a button, and a very short drive away. Parking is ample and free. We Loved Cape Charles, including this cottage, and will definitely return.

Nostalgic Comfort

I absolutely adored this little house. Immediately upon walking through the door I was reminded of my grandmother’s house. It was so comfortable and cozy. The house had everything we needed for our stay and the kitchen was very well equipped. We enjoyed cooking out on the grill and playing frisbee in the backyard. We also made use of the board games in the evenings. The home was incredibly convenient to the town area and the grocery store with a remote “out in the country” feel. We stayed on the 4th of July weekend and the house has a perfect view of the fireworks in Cape Charles. I could not have asked for a better stay!

Fantastic Experience!

The house was great, and the owners were easy to communicate with and made sure the property was ready to go before we arrived. I would definitely recommend this property to stay for future visits to Cape Charles!

Everything You Need!

Our stay at Fish Tales was nice and relaxing. Everything you could possibly need was available. It was conveniently located to where we wanted to be. We would definitely stay here again!

Fishing trip

Rented this house for a fishing trip. Very convenient location and plenty of room for parking. The house was just as the description says. Great place, would stay here again.

We enjoyed the house and it was the perfect size for me and my two teen grandsons. Very clean and comfortable. However, we could never get the WiFi to connect with our phones and computers. We called and talked to the owners and they thought that if the Netflix was working on the TV, then the WiFi was working, but that didn't seem to be the case. Two teenagers not able to play their video games on vacation was a biggie! But other than that, it was a great property.

Cottage by the bay

We had a lovely stay at fishtails and would definitely come back! The cozy cottage was perfect for our small family. It was so close to cape Charles beach and yet out of the business of town. The location was convenient and we had everything we needed for our long weekend.

Two nights on the outskirts of Cape Charles.

Home was cozy and comfortable, ideally located for our plans to explore the area. Home and yard were clean and well prepared for guests' needs. Overall a very relaxing stay.

Relaxing and quiet

It's an older home but clean and comfortable. It's in a great location, so close to the town you could easily bike to the beach. It was easy to contact the owners and I really enjoyed the simple life there!

Lovely old cottage near the bay

This charming little cottage was clean, well stocked, and welcoming. We spent most of our time in town enjoying the good weather but it would be a cozy place to stay in the cooler months, as well. So appreciated that the owners have preserved much that makes this 20th century home so special.

Totally Great!

This small home is located just outside of the main Cape Charles town. About 10 minutes from the beach. Just 5 minutes from their Craft Brewery-YUM! We had a great time and we will be back!!
