Petite Cachette (Little Hideaway) är ett charmigt pensionat med 1 sovrum som är hemligt undangömt i en äkta röd ladugård. Nyligen gjort om, detta 1200 kvadratmeter nymålade, matta och bekvämt inredda pensionat har ett vardagsrum i bottenvåningen med en braskamin, ett fullt utrustat kök och ett badrum, inklusive en tvättmaskin och torktumlare. På övervåningen hittar du ett rymligt loft sovrum med en romantisk himmelssäng och garderob. Utanför är du omgiven av en privat välvårdad betesmark (där du ofta ser rådjur) och vackra gamla tillväxtträd. Sitt ute och koppla av medan du grillar eller bara njuter av det frodiga landskapet.
Denna speciella fastighet ligger på den olympiska halvön bara några minuter från Hood Canal Bridge och Shine Tidelands delstatspark i Port Ludlow. PL serverar god mat på Fireside Restaurant på Port Ludlow Inn, Golf, vandringsleder och en marina. Vi är centralt beläget i flera pittoreska städer precis norr om söder om oss. Strax söder om Port Ludlow tvärs över Hood Canal Bridge ligger den historiska staden Port Gamble, som är utmärkt för shopping, teater, äta, antika och kajakpaddling. Bara lite längre söderut ligger den charmiga nordiska staden Poulsbo. I främre gatan längs Liberty Bay finns flera fantastiska butiker inklusive antikviteter, kläder, heminredning, souvenirer, restauranger vid vattnet och det fantastiska Sluy's Bakery!

The barn house was absolutely beautiful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Every corner has another sweet surprise detail. The homemade cake and the basket of treats were delicious. It was charming from beginning to end. Do yourself a favor and book this for a nice getaway!

The Perfect Cozy Getaway!

Our stay at the Little Barn was absolutely wonderful! From the moment we arrived, we felt so welcomed and at home. The owners have thought of every little detail to make the stay special, from the cozy decor to the thoughtful touches that truly went above and beyond. The space is peaceful, charming, and incredibly comfortable and the perfect retreat to relax and recharge. You can really feel the care and love that’s been put into this place. We can’t wait to come back!

Everything we have to say in our review is very positive.The owners were outstanding with communication and assistance.There were added extras which were much appreciated.The setting is magnificent.It was perfect for visiting the lavender fields yet close enough to Port Ludlow and Poulsbo to make good restaurants available with only a short drive.The accommodations were great and the bed was very comfortable. We both slept well.We hope to return in the future.

Cute barn get away! Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful time!There were so many extra special touches (like a chocolate cake!) waiting for us when we arrived. The decor was amazing.The hosts were quick to answer any questions. Seriously, this place had EVERYTHING you could possible need for time away from home!

Above and beyond expectations

Such a nice and generous host. The banana bread was delicious and every amenity you could ask for was provided. I’m shocked we managed to reserve such a fantastic place during such a busy weekend, what a great deal!

Quiet escape, beautiful property

This is a great spot for couples looking for a quiet spot to get away. A beautiful landscaped area to sit and reflect and spend time by a fire. We were visited by owls, elk, and squirrels. We will definitely stay again when we visit the Peninsula.

Truly a Gem!

The Barn House is truly a magical getaway. Hosts Leslie and Don have thought of everything, adding so many classy, thoughtful, and enchanting touches. Every step of the process from booking to check out was smooth and seamless. It felt like we were genuinely cared for by someone we hadn’t even met in person (which, honestly, I now regret!). If you’re looking for a special place to escape with your special someone, this home away from home is it. I’ll definitely be returning to The Barn House. Thank you, Leslie, for being such an outstanding host!

This was one of the funniest places I have stayed at! I would stay here again. The host was awesome. She even left a sweet treat. I went over to do some shrimping in Hood Canal and was rewarded with limits!! Thanks so much!!

Beautiful grounds, relaxing space. This barn house is the ideal place to unwind and practice “the art of doing nothing.” A longtime friend and I spent 2 nights here, mostly just catching up, as old friends do, listening to music, watching movies, and eating good food! Speaking of which, the owners (who are an absolute delight) left all kinds of snacks: English muffins, eggs, apples and caramel sauce, cheese and crackers, condiments, a delicious homemade cake, juice, waters and soft drinks, popcorn. The kitchen and bathroom were supplied with everything you could possibly need. I honestly think you could show up with just your clothes and you would find anything else you might need in this incredibly stocked and SPOTLESS rental. (As I’m writing this, my husband is enjoying his 2nd piece of the cake I brought home with a cup of tea.)If there are any negatives it would be: If you need to get up early, set your clock because there aren’t very many windows for natural light, plus you’ll sleep deeply in either of the very comfortable beds. Also, the shower is small. I’m short so it wasn’t a problem for me, and honestly the rainshower head makes up for it. So, those aren’t really negatives, just information.I have been staying in vacation rentals for decades, and I believe this is the best all-around space I’ve rented. The wood stove was cozy, furniture comfortable, and the entire space was beautifully decorated. Would I stay here again? In a heartbeat!

Peaceful and serene

What a wonderful hidden treasure if you are looking for a peaceful and quiet getaway on the Peninsula. The converted barn is beautifully done and the owners have made sure to have it well-stocked for all your needs, including special food treats and beverages. Don & Leslie are great hosts and know how to do a VRBO right. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and hope to make a return visit.

Fabulous quiet place for retreat

What a great place to stay and what a beautiful location! Having stayed at a number of other rental places, none of them had the kind of extras that surprised me when I arrived. Homemade treats and a fridge that had some fun extras as well. Loved the solitude of this lovely stay! Hope to be back!

Peaceful, comfortable hideaway

Leslie goes the extra mile to make sure your stay is relaxing and comfortable. The grounds and chalet are gorgeous and though feel far away from everywhere, not far from anything you may want or need. Many extra, kind and sweet gestures of chocolates, breakfast starters, huge selection of coffee styles, and loads of usual cooking condiments & spices so cooking in was stress free. Can’t wait to get back there.

Way above and beyond what I expected!

Host is sooo thoughtful with every detail! Anything you forgot and thought you had to purchase, was already there waiting. Welcomed with a home baked cake and so many other things. Like fresh cut flowers, fruit and cheese,and wine!! The place is perfect for relaxing. Thank you so much!!

Peaceful & Secluded with abundant surprises

We absolutely loved our stay! It was cozy, warm, peaceful and quiet, secluded from the city. We were amazed at all the wonderful details and personal touches! The surprises were in every room... beautiful bouquet of flowers, wine, pumpkin cake, chocolate, frig of goodies, foot baths for 2... the list goes on! Guests are spoiled here! Barn House Retreat

We had an amazing time at this place. The kitchen was the hub of our activities and the larder and complimentary foodstuffs provided was a very thoughtful above and beyond touch by the owners. The owners were also very kind and prompt in providing information and helping us as and when required. Some great touches with the decor and kitchenware, the log fire was very much enjoyed and we also loved the Chess set provided. Thoroughly recommend this place for a peaceful getaway. Many thanks for letting us use your space.

Absolutely beautiful property and amazing getaway

It's so quiet, so well cared for, so well stocked with everything thought of to make it a perfect experience. Leslie was fantastic with communication and making sure everything went smooth to create a comfortable and welcoming experience. The extra goodies and flowers and everything around it were so welcoming and homey. It's a very comfortable place, especially to reconnect with your significant other without distractions. Beautiful property, quiet and secluded - you definitely feel like you are the only ones around for miles. And it's a great location for drives, hikes, etc, while not being far from shops and other amenities. All in all we had a great time and was a perfect anniversary experience! Thanks so much for all the little touches and details. Would definitely love to come back sometime!

Thoughtful Getaway

This was by far, one of the most thoughtful rentals in which we have stayed! Leslie provided a beautiful bouquet, banana bread Bundt cake, goodies for breakfast, cold beverages, bottle of wine AND lots of water!!! We didn’t have to venture out to find provisions upon arrival or first thing the next morning. The convenience and warmth are much appreciated!!! The rental is clean and incredibly well equipped, particularly in the kitchen. The queen bed was heavenly and the step stool makes it easy to climb onto the tall bed. We only wished that we didn’t have to be up so early each morning for the tides. This was the perfect luxurious getaway for a couple, and still allow us to spend most of our days clamming with family camping at a state park nearby. One minor concern is the height of stairway and shower as someone who is 6’2” had to watch his head more. But there is a cute sign reminding him to do so! Since we did not catch the holy grail of geoduck, we will have to come back, and we cannot wait to stay here again!!!

This was such a great place to get away!! It’s so quiet and the property is beautiful! The barn house has so many comforts! The coffee options, the bedding, the softness of the towels - even a foot bath/massager! The wood burning stove was perfect for creating a war, cozy atmosphere - perfect for reading and relaxing. It was heavenly - the hosts went above and beyond!

The 5 1/2 acre property is stunning with old growth trees, lush greenery, groomed pastures, ocean view (from the main house only) and secluded area. Peace and tranquility are abundant.

The barn is very unique. It has 4 stalls for horses, (no horses on the premises at this time) a good sized workshop, and the charming comfortable guest house, secretly tucked inside.
The barn is located down below the main house, and very private, so guests can feel like they have the place to themselves.
