Stugan ligger 15 minuter frÄn Brevard, 5 minuter frÄn Mills River, 10 minuter frÄn Asheville flygplats, 20 minuter frÄn Hendersonville. Ytterdörren (övre nivÄ) öppnar för ett stort dÀck (delvis tÀckt) med en hÀnförande utsikt över en 5 tunnland privat lager damm (fiske tillÄtet) med bergen i Pisgah National Forest i bakgrunden. Den bakre tÀckt dÀck utanför den lÀgre nivÄn sitter 6 fot frÄn en liten lager damm, slappna av och njuta av utfodring och tittar Koi, braxen och grÀskarp. Grillplatser finns pÄ bÄda dÀcken för din bekvÀmlighet.


Relax & Njut av fiske i den privata 5 1/2 Acre Pond (fyllt med bas, öring, braxen och havskatt) medan du visar bergen i Pisgah National Forest. The cottage was as described in pictures, my son spent a day fishing in the pond, we explored the area and really enjoyed our trip. If you’re looking for a quiet getaway with rustic feel this is for you. The host is very responsive if you happen to need anything.

The home was nice and tidy..nicely stocked kitchen..plenty of extra blankets if need . There are cobwebs and leaves outside but hey, your in a country setting.. We did have a plumbing issue the day we left but owner did reply to it being fixed..

Nice, but could use a deep cleaning

The description was accuratr and we enjoyed out stay. However, the interior and exterior needs a depp cleaning. Outside, cob webs were everywhere and the furniture was caked in pollen. Its exterior so I would expect some of each (especially pollen during the timing of our stay), but these looked like they had been building up for some time. Inside, especially the upstairs was musty. A ceiling tile in the laundry looks like it is about to fall.

Very Muskie. Need larger dehumidifiers. Had to empty several times. Did help alittle but had they been on more before we got there it would help. A/c did not work at all. Was freezing up at the a/c unit outside. Inside temp never got cooler than 77. Was hot and muggie. Not the best sleeping conditions for those upstairs.

Fun trip with family and friends

Great place. It was relaxing and quiet. Cottage was nice and very peaceful. It's perfect for our stay and located in a great spot. Asheville downtown is about 30 min away from the cottage. Beautiful pond, kids enjoyed fishing and boat ride. Ashley is very kind and helpful. We had a great experience and enjoyed the trip.

Great place for a guys trip

This place was a great place to go for a guys trip. We were able to fish, relax, and drove into Asheville to catch a baseball game. Everything was as advertised and we had no issues. Would definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed the property very much. Our dog had plenty of yard to run around. Fishing the pond and using the paddle boat was fun. Blue Ridge parkway just a short drive away. Definitelyrecommend!

Weekend Getaway

This house was perfect for our friend group especially with the pond for the guys to fish in and to keep them entertained. It was near everywhere we wanted to go too. Will for sure book this house again!

Perfect father/son trip

My son and I were in town for a baseball camp. We did baseball in the morning, and fished the rest of the day. We caught 68 fish in 3 days :) Great memories

Our little cottage was once part of a operating grits mill. The house was used for living space upstairs and the bottom level was the store where the grits were sold. There use to be a large water wheel just to the right of the house. We obtained the property back in 2007 and we loved the history and the "rustic" feel it provides. We try to keep it as original as possible but with a few upgrades and updates here and there.
