Wonderful place for a family gathering

Stayed here for a week with 5 adults, 2 dogs and 4 kids. It was perfect. A really magical place to bring family together.

Nice weekend in the mountains

The home was clean and had plenty of space for our group of 10. The hosts were very responsive to our notes and emails. The location was remote but gorgeous. We loved our nights in the hot tub.we were pleased with our stay and would recommend this property to anyone looking for an escape to the mountains.

Mountain private quiet family getaway

Very very nice place for us to hold a 96th birthday party for Mom and room for family to attend. Very clean, with much to offer a family group. A warm home away from home.

great for family vacations

The property was all it was supposed to be. My wife and I along with each of our daughters and their families were there together. House is set up perfectly for that mix with each family having its space yet common areas were comfortable and all could get around the table. Area is fun for small town visits and proximity to Parkway made for some nice day trips. Fun in the hot tub and around BBQ grill. Comfortable evenings after kids went to bed. All went very well.

Remote But Very Nice for Family Gathering

Great rental for our Family Reunion / Men's Golf Outing. Kim and Andy were great to work with. Everything was as advertised - clean and well supplied. Would recommend to anyone needing a larger place for a family get to together.

Large, nicely furnished log home cabin near Meadows of Dan

We enjoyed our holiday stay. Large open areas for family time together. Well supplied kitchen. Responsive owner, housekeepers and handyman. Close to Blue Ridge Parkway attractions, some closed in the winter.

What a wonderful lodge

Our stay at Kim and Andys lodge was everything we could ask for in a vacation rental. The location has a beautiful view from the hot tub. It was not too far from town to get groceries. The space fit our large party for an unofficial college reunion and it is unanimous that this lodge would be a contender for another group vacation.

Beautiful house

The house was large and lovely, and communication with the owners was swift and easy. The two young girls in our party loved the built-in bunks. The hot tub was a great way to end the day. Great views from the porches!

Great home for a weekend getaway

This was a great home that is well equipped with the needs for an escape to the mountains and country. Quiet and tranquil. The homeowners were very responsive and communicated well. We’ll be back at this house in the future

Lovely Getaway

My family really enjoyed being able to get away from the city and avoid the spring break crowds. The cabin was clean, spacious and beautiful. We did lose power one day due to a really bad storm but we made the best of it with the provided oil lanterns and candles and spent the evening playing games with our kids. Thank you for a lovely retreat.

Lovely Isolated Cabin

We stayed at Andy and Kim's and absolutely loved it! The house is gorgeous and plenty large, even for our party of 10. The kitchen is well stocked with appliances and cooking instruments and we had absolutely no issues during our stay. The only minor complaint we have is that the listing has five bedrooms, but the fifth bedroom is really just a small den; it has no doors or even a curtain separating it from the hallway.

Perfect getaway from city / suburb life

We stayed here for 3 nights and it was certainly more house than we needed (2 adults, 2 kids), but we really enjoyed the property and the area. The house has a great layout and a really nice kitchen / dining / deck area. Beds were comfortable and the kids loved sleeping in the angled wall beds (with perfectly placed rollaway trundle beds that served as protection in case they fell out of bed). Owners, Kim and Andy, provided excellent communication and we were in touch with them leading up to and during our stay. We will definitely keep this place on our list of future getaways.
