Perfect Vacation Spot

We had a great view of the beach, the sunsets and West Maui from our lanai. The beach, quiet, chill and family-friendly, was a one minute walk away. We had a blast and would love to come back again.

Wonderful Stay on Maui!

What a great place to stay on Maui, perfect location with great shops and stores within walking distance as well as a great beach to snorkel and swim with 3 others in walking distance too! The condo was well stocked and even had Hawaiian treats and coffee left for us! Beach towels and chairs were available too! Nicely decorated with comfortable beds.

Fabulous property

I have stayed in this property twice and I WILL be back. Love the view and the attention to detail in this unit is unmatched. You have it all, beach chairs, cooler, towel/suit rack, ample kitchen supplies, location. It's my home away from home. VERY CLEAN! And I'm PICKY!!!!

Not impressed

The Master bedroom window was so dirty you could not see out of it. Handles on the windows broken or missing. No umbrellas. Sharp edges bottom of bed, cutting foot Ran out of TP. Not enough soap pods. Cups dirty. Lanai swivel chair was busted. The list goes on. Very overpriced for what we got. Perhaps because a bunch of you take a chunk out without caring about what you are renting, what do you think?

Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear about your experience and wish we had been informed during your stay so we could address your concerns promptly. While the lanai chairs were replaced three months ago, we’ll have our team inspect them to ensure they’re in proper condition. Window cleanings are regularly scheduled, though being on the second floor and near the ocean can present challenges for maintenance between cleanings. Regarding supplies, we provide a starter kit for the first evening, with additional items for guests to purchase as needed. We appreciate your feedback and will work to improve in these areas.

Unit had cleanliness issues

Unit 204 at the Royal Mauian is in a great location with a wonderful view of the park below, Kamaole I Beach and the ocean. Unfortunately, we had cleanliness issues upon arrival. The door was unlocked and ajar when we arrived which was unsettling; not sure if that was intentional. Within a few minutes of walking in, the bottoms of our white socks were black with dirt. We spent several hours wiping everything down with sanitizing wipes and searched for something to clean the floor with; all we could find was a floor Swiffer (with no dry cloths supplied) and a few brooms, all of which were filthy. There was no wet mop or bucket to be found. We called and requested for a bucket and mop to be dropped off at the unit so that we could clean the floors ourselves during our stay; they later followed up via email and said this was not possible. Two cleaners came by shortly after and they didn’t have a mop either; they brought several rags, soaked them, wrung them out by hand in each room to soak the floors, then used the rags on the end of a Swiffer to dry the floors. It was an interesting method that got the job done, but somewhat odd and concerning to see they didn’t have a mop either. We hoped to cook more in the unit, but the pots and lids were covered in greasy film. The freezer desperately needed to be defrosted; it was unusable as it was completely frozen over and the ice in the icemaker was frozen into one giant, solid block. The cutlery rack in the dishwasher was very dirty.

We had a wonderful stay! The condo was exactly as described—clean, comfortable, and the perfect size for our family of four with two teenagers (ages 14 and 16).The location couldn’t have been better. It’s within walking distance of several great restaurants, shops, and places to rent snorkel and other beach gear. Being situated between Kamaole Beach I and Kamaole Beach II was ideal, and we even saw sea turtles right outside the property!One of my favorite parts of the trip was taking morning walks along the beach path. I highly recommend following it all the way to Keawakapu Beach—it was such a beautiful and peaceful way to start the day.The property grounds were well maintained, and the host was excellent. They checked in to make sure everything was going well, reminded us they were available if we needed anything, and were happy to answer questions or provide recommendations. We didn’t need much because everything was so well organized, but it was reassuring to know they were there if needed.We would absolutely stay here again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this property to anyone visiting South Maui.

A bug issue in the kitchen upon arrival that we needed to buy bug spray for and address the entire week but the spray kept them away, so maybe bug spray more often in the unit. Amazing Visit to Maui - Royal Mauian 204

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Just returned from a great stay at the Royal Mauian 204 in Kiehi. Location was great - right between two beaches and across the street from some places to eat, grocery store, beach rental stores. short drive to some other great restaurants and beaches plus a little market for souveniers. Condo was clean and well maintained. Updated kitchen - quite a few bugs in the kitchen when we first arrived but didn't notice them for most of the balance of the stay - just needed to keep kitchen free of crumbs and food - suppose fairly normal for a tropical environment. Furniture and beds were very comfortable. Patio was lovely - view was amazing - ocean, beach, mountains - couldn't have been a better view - lots of time spent on the lanai.Management company was very helpful with booking and questions in advance - didn't really need them during as everything was as promised. Beach chairs were very handy - used daily - and rented an umbrella. Overall loved every minute of our stay and would definitely return and recommend to family/friends. Great location for families

Very nice location, the space is clean and comfortable. Only small complaint is not enough laundry soap and trash bags for the whole week. Feel like for the price those kinds of things should be well-stocked. The pull-out bed is very hard to get back together, could use some work. The property managers were very responsive. Enjoyed our week.

Excellent location

Amazing view, you can just sit on the balcony to enjoy the sunset. Very comfy beds, pillows and linens. Will definitely stay here again if we return to Maui.

Always Nice

This was my second stay at the Royal Mauian and it is a great location. Views, access to beaches, location to shops and restaurants are awesome. #204 is really nicely appointed and as described. Had some issue with the AC when checking in and it was taken care of same day. The whole family had a great stay.

great location - but with some caveats

Loved the location. Right on the water, close to a very sandy beach and grass area. Could watch the waves morning, noon, and night. Couple things for the hosts to consider: 1) beyond salt/pepper; might be helpful to have some additional pantry staples and spices. If you plan on cooking anything; you'll need to purchase cooking spray, other spices, etc. Would have been helpful to have more basics on hand like other rental properties. 2) pool hours were a bit restrictive; but not sure if the hosts can control that 3) unclear who to call if there is a problem. We had an errant smoke alarm that was faulty. It took us a day to figure out who to call to replace the unit. We bought batteries ourselves; but the smoke alarm was hardwired and needed the wires cut to make it stop chirping
