The cottage is decorated nicely, but there are definitely housekeeping issues in addition to a wet dog smell in the furniture and cottage. The couch seems worn out and uncomfortable. The bathroom floor was dirty to the point we didn’t want to walk on it without our shoes on - we cleaned it. The area rugs are filthy. There are also cob webs, spiders, dust, thread barren sheets and bedding, holes in sheets, pillow shams and couch pillows, dirty windows, shower liner and absolutely filthy stinky furniture. I know the cottage is pet friendly but dog hair on the stove, counters, refrigerator and furniture can be cleaned between guests. I did notify the owner of the wet dog smell on the night of check in and her recommendation was to turn the A/C on or open the window. We told her it was cold and we had the heat on. We didn’t tell her about the cleanliness issues until we checked out because they are so bad, I believe it will not be a quick fix. The property is advertised as steps from the beach. It is about 2 blocks from the sea. It is also advertised with a garage. There is no garage. I was very disappointed.

Great little beach spot

My husband and I stayed here with our two dogs over the holidays. It was a perfect location: super close to the beach and to our family. The house was super clean and had everything we needed. Fenced in yard was a huge plus as well.

Relaxing Getaway

The process is simple, the host is sweet and nice, the house is quaint, clean and close to everything! The beach is across the main road and it's so nice to walk over and just enjoy the quiet, not crowded, peaceful beach. This is a great place to stay and I highly recommend it!

Winter Vacation

We stayed at the cottage for 2 weeks with our pups. We absolutley loved everything about it! Our pups loved the fenced in backyard. The cottage was very clean and the owners were very responsive and helpful with any questions. Its located in a nice quiet neighborhood with many good resturants and grocery store nearby. Nice short walk to the beach. We would most definetly stay there again!!

Home away from home

The cottage is home away from home! You walk in to a wonderful fresh smell. A short walk across the street to a relaxing oasis with a quiet beach. Close to a bunch of restaurants and shops. The A1A scenic route to St Augustine or Daytona Beach is beautiful and filled with shops, miniature golf and many beach parks for different beach experiences. Cant wait to stay again!

Fantastic beach getaway

Coquina Cottage was wonderful. Less than ten minutes from door to beach. The space was perfect. The beach chairs and wagon were so helpful in making the beach trips more enjoyable. Inside, everything you need is there. Will definitely come back!

excellent place to base vacation at daytona. far enough away from the hustle and bustle, yet great proximity to the speedway and attractions. house was well stocked with basics and items to enjoy the area. the back patio area was where we store went most of the time when we were home. living area was very comfortable as well. 10/10. would recommend to anyone, and would stay again.

Peaceful oasis

Coquina Cottage was the perfect home away from home for me and my dogs. The cottage was exactly as shown. No surprises which is always so appreciated. Mary was quick to respond to questions and made me feel very comfortable while at the cottage. Great location to beach, stores and restaurants.

Bliss at the Beach

Our month long stay at coquina cottage was absolutely delightful. The cottage itself was charming and it’s well-equipped Kitchen was perfect for at home meals and barbecues. The fenced in yard was perfect for our pups. The beach was a short stroll away and the wagon, complete with beach chairs umbrella and cooler. made for an awesome beach day. Ormond beach offers great activities for families and couples. We enjoyed the many restaurants Nearby. The neighbourhood felt safe and welcoming. We easily could have stayed another month. Enjoy!

Perfect getaway from frigid temps and grey skies

The property was perfect for my 3 week stay. My dog enjoyed having a yard to play in and the neighborhood was easy to walk. The beach access was about 200yds. (No dogs allowed on beach). The cottage was clean and cozy. My adult daughter visited for a week so I can verify that both beds were comfortable. Thank you for thinking of everything that might be needed during a stay!

Winter vacation

The house was great however we had two golden doodles and although the fenced in backyard was wonderful there were many sticker weeds which got caught in the dogs fur. I spent a lot of time trying to comb them out and vacuum them up.

Perfect Beach Getaway

Coquina Cottage was perfect for my small family. Just enough space and perfect condition. Upon arrival, we found the property to be clean and ready for us to unpack and have fun. Virtually everything you could need is already there: kitchen and dining supplies, Keurig and regular coffee pot, extra pillows and bed linens, bath towels, and even laundry supplies. The best was that everything you need for the beach is right there: beach towels, chairs, umbrellas, toys and even a wagon to carry it all in. You can drive to the beach or walk. Beach access is less than a 5-minute walk away!!! Excellent proximity to grocery stores, restaurants, shopping and other activities. Communication with the property owner was great. We would ABSOLUTELY stay here again and highly recommend that you give it a serious look.

Beautiful stay

First time renting a house. We travel with our goldendoodle and wanted more freedom for her than the hotels had to offer. This stay was just fantastic. Very clean is first impression when walking in. The back yard fenced in was perfect for our dog to enjoy. The beds super cozy. Everything was thought of with this place. I needed to communicate one time through my stay and the response was fast. We will definitely be staying again.

Great location - cute house!

Our stay at the cottage was great! It was the perfect place to relax after the long days at the beach. It's near everything but far enough away to be quiet. The backyard is so cute at night! The listing is spot on - you literally don't need to bring anything but a swimsuit! Would definitely stay again!
