Perfect get-away spot

This property was everything it was advertised! The house was spotless and really well laid out. We had our two dogs with us and the fenced in yard was perfect for them. We had a perfect time doing absolutely nothing for a few days, which is exactly what we were looking for! Will go back again!

Wonderful

What a charming home! Great care has been put into every detail of his house, which is lovely and well appointed throughout. We especially loved the all weather porch and spent lots of time there playing games and watching tv. The yard is on the smaller side, but it was nice to have for our dog. Town is accessible by foot if you’re willing to walk just a bit. Overall, we had a wonderful time and would definitely stay here again!

Perfect house

Was a perfect stay for my bestie and me. Loved the option of the four seasons porch to feel outside when it was raining. Only less than a half mile walk to downtown Saugatuck.

Wonderful Home!

We really enjoyed our stay at this home! Everything was very clean and neat. It was nicely furnished and very comfortable. The home was well stocked with anything we might need. Our favorite room was the large screened in porch, where we spent a lot of time! The neighborhood was nice and quiet and a great place to walk. We love visiting Saugatuck and look forward to staying in this home again!

Beautiful house - perfect rental for our quick family get a way. Was able to walk to town, shop and hang out on the heated porch. We’ll definitely be back.

Great stay!

This property was adorable. It was perfect for a girls weekend. When we showed up the driveway had not been plowed so that was a small challenge but otherwise everything else was great! The beds were so comfortable! We would definitely go back again!

Wedding wk-end Get away

This property is in a great location. One of the main reasons chosen, close to the wedding venue we were attending. Also, we could bring our dog. Sadly, we lost our fur baby since the booking, but decided to keep the reservation based on the great reviews & being so close to the wedding venue. Close to downtown & local attractions. Overall, the house is nice & decorated very cute. However, we found the living room/ kitchen area & sunroom to have a very strong terrible odor. Even after opening windows to air out the house, didn’t get rid of the odor. We chose the property based on many positive reviews for cleanliness, we found it lacking overall in this area. For the amount we pay per night & extra charges for cleaning etc. I expect better, especially when I’m expected to take out all the trash, wash the towels used & remove all the used bedding before we check out. Check in/out was made very easy. House equipped nicely with essentials .

Perfect Pet Friendly Rental

This was the perfect rental for our dog and newborn. The three season room was great for relaxing and watching football with the family. Close to town as well. Only downside is the lack of sidewalks as you make your way toward downtown Saugatuck - but this is a city thing, not a rental thing! Would stay again.

Nice porch room

We enjoyed the porch room and the fenced in backyard. We didn’t enjoy all the dog fur in the porch room and all the rugs in the house smell like dog. Also, the front door knob wouldn’t stay on.

LOVED IT

Actually EVERYTHING. BEAUTIFUL HOME away from home. Love the screened in porch grab your book and just sit and read. Grab a cup off coffee from the coffee stand and go out and watch the sun come up. Slept like a baby in the king size bed so comfy I slept in everyday. Walk down the street down some steps to EVERYTHING..shopping, eating....or just go and watch the boats come in. This was our 2nd time and we will definitely go again just love how you can walk to everywhere in town. BEST VACATION...you can be as busy or relaxed as you want. Highly recommend it.

The porch of my dreams

This was a great house for my family’s little getaway! Great location, in a quiet neighborhood, and just a short walk to downtown Saugatuck! The house was clean, nicely decorated and well-appointed with amenities. The three season porch is what really makes it though… bright and beautiful during the day, with great views for all the deer! In the evening we were able to open the windows and really enjoy the cool breeze and summer sounds and smells! Will definitely look to stay here again on future trips to Saugatuck!

Great Porch and Within walking Distance to Town

The rental was a great space for my parents, dog and I. We would wake and walk into town for our morning exercise, watch movies in the evening on the porch and rock on the front porch after spending the day out in town or checking out new spots. My mom couldn’t do the walk to town and walk downtown - so we still needed to park downtown for her. Luckily it was an ‘off’ season so we did t have to worry about parking! Lovely home!

Wonderful Stay

This was our fourth stay at Rise N Shine. It's an impeccable house in a great location - a short walk to the center of town, but far enough away to avoid the crowds. Can't wait to go back!

Very nice home except….

Very cute home but the entryway from the sunroom to enter the house there is a high step over which I did not see because I was carrying things into the house and tripped and fell. This should be marked at eye level. I am ok but landed on a knee that I am having replaced next week. Pretty painful. Great place but please mark this hazard.

Recent Visit

Overall, we had a good stay! The property is cute and in a convenient location. Updated kitchen and all the essentials you will need. Close enough for a longer walk to Butler Street - the listing quotes 13 minutes. That is not accurate...it is more like 20-25 minutes. Not horrible but it helps to know the real distance to plan accordingly. The home was clean but definitely not worthy of five stars. Dead bugs behind bathroom doors, cobwebs in the three season porch space, kitchen sink not wiped out and it had just been cleaned before our arrival (based on their real-time calendar it was booked for several weeks straight before our arrival). One concern is that the pictures certainly do not reflect the current state of the home. It is in need of some TLC - deck has paint peeling and chipping everywhere, weeds throughout stone walk up, overgrown shrubbery/flowers around deck and entrance to the backyard, scuffs on almost every wall from renters and their luggage, and mattresses both had multiple urine stains on them as did two of the eight pillows. It looked like it has really been "lived" in without much attention in many years. The biggest concern was that two doors did not lock. The door from the home to the three season porch did not lock nor did the door from the home to the backyard. This to me is unacceptable even in a very safe town like Saugatuck. Overall, it was a good rental.

Saugatuck retreat

We have been coming to this house for 3 years and love this home. Great for our dog to romp in the backyard. ( Needs a new dog waste container )😉 Love the updates outside and on front porch making it an all season room. This house is a short walk to town which is what we did on a daily basis. Great restaurants, most are dog friendly outside along with many of the shops Lady Bird is a great new upscale restaurant, along with Chop house We will be back next year !
