Denna underbara skogstuga ligger avskilt på tunnland av antika rododendron, lagrar och majestätiska träd. Stoney Brook Cottage är VRBO: s största hyra på en bäck i Brevard.

1960-talets stuga ligger bredvid en livlig bäck som trumlar nerför bergssidan där den har skurit sin väg i århundraden. Visa bergsfauna längs bäcken från det täckta däck när du picknick i skogens tak. Du kan också dra dig tillbaka till den avskärmade verandan tillbaka för att smutta kaffe när sångfåglarna njuter av de första solstrålarna. Stugan har trappor och rekommenderas inte för äldre.

Stoney Brook Cottage ligger bara sex miles från DuPont State Forest med sina otroliga vattenfall och över 80 mil vandrings- och mountainbikespår och också bara sex mil från Pisgah National Forest där du hittar floden Davidson som har mer troféöring per mil än någon annan ström i landet samt slangar och glidrock!

Åh ja, stugan har WiFi höghastighetsinternet. Det finns också en badtunna med utsikt över bäcken, en vedeldad spis, ett spelrum med foosball, dart, brädspel och kabel-TV i vardagsrummet och i familjerummet. Över 1600 kvadratmeter uppvärmd bostadsyta ger dig ett kung sovrum med klädkammare och ytterligare ett sovrum med drottning, två fulla badrum, vardagsrum, fullt utrustat kök, stort spelrum med TV, soffa, lovsäng och uppsängbar säng och full tvätt.

När dagen är slut och du har vandrat nationalskogarna och dess vattenfall kan du dra dig tillbaka till din privata stuga och fortfarande vara mitt i naturens skönhet. Det är allt du letar efter ... Ingången till stugan är på den lägre nivån som har ett sovrum, badrum, familjerum, tvättstuga och täckt däck med badtunna. Simple and rustic, but has everything you need. Small touches like a selection of spices in the kitchen and extra towels in the bathrooms were appreciated.

Outstanding!

Everything was perfect! The cottage had tons of space...indoors and out. The host provided everything i needed. Such peace and quiet, but loved the babbling brook. Ill definitely come back to Stoney Brook!!!

Loved the property! It was well stocked with coffee, tea, sugar & creamer. We really enjoyed the outside seatings areas. Comfy furniture, nice decor. Would definitely stay there again!

Nice place, quiet area

This is a nice place to stay. It is an older cabin but in good shape. The only thing that should be better explained is that the grill is one you would find at a park.

Shadowy tranquil retreat

Loved Stoneybrook retreat. Very relaxing with the sounds of a stream that can b heard from both balconies/levels. Supplied with cool books, and games and puzzles to entertain. The only negative was visible signs and smell of previous pets. Still very much enjoyed our stay.

The picture did not accurately depict the place. After reserving the place, we got the list of cleaning that was expected to be done when we left. They place itself needed a good deep cleaning! After paying a cleaning fee, I did not expect to have to change the bedding for the next person. It also stated, to use the hot tub, you needed to read the info, and sign a form, which were not any place to be found. The road to get to the house was very narrow. Room for 1 and a half cars, so it was a nerve-wracking, getting to and from the house. The owner stated that the key would be left on the dining room table, but it took us about an hour to find where it really was. The kitchen faucets were installed backwards, and there was no mat mat inside the tub, which made it slippery when standing in the tub. If these issues were addressed, and updated photos posted, it would be a lovely place to stay. The place is 2 stories, so if you are elderly, you might find it hard to climb the stairs. There are also little drop offs, from one room to another, that should be marked, as I almost feel more than once. I don't know if the owner lives out of the area, and has someone oversee the places, but if that is the case, they had better find someone new!

Amazing mom away time!

A girlfriend and I came up here Saturday after work for the night. This place was amazingly perfect for a much needed night away from the kids. We spent Saturday all night in the hot tub. The beds were great, havent slept that great in months. Definitely will be back as this will be my go to spot when traveleing to hendersonville. You can fit 2 to almost 5 people which would work out for families like mine!

Cozy Treehouse

We loved our stay at this property! The house was even better than the pictures. So quaint and cozy, so welcoming. The view off the porch was the best spot to bird watch and relax. It was a perfect location for all our hiking and mountain biking needs, short distance to downtown Hendersonville and Brevard for shopping. The kitchen was stocked with all the essentials, and the hot tub was perfect after a long day in the trails. Highly recommend!!

Serene and Comfortable

My wife and I stayed here for an extended weekend trip for her birthday. It was a great location, 10-15 minutes from grocery stores, downtown and restaurants. We enjoyed a massage in Brevard, then got immediately in the hot tub, it was so relaxing. The hot tub was clean and a perfect way to end the evening. We enjoyed the patio for morning coffee, you really feel like you are in a tree house. The kitchen was well appointed and clean. I enjoyed the vanity room on the side of the master bedroom, it was perfect for getting ready for a night out. My only suggestion would be to add an outdoor flood light at the top of the driveway because it was very dark and hard to see, we were always on the lookout for bears! Other than that, the home was wonderful and we would definitely stay here again.

Nice little place, close to town and hiking trails

We ended up visiting the property during the Christmas cold snap. The house was just as promised. I grew up in PA and the house reminded me of some of the small homes there. My negative on the property. After booking and close to check in the owner did not leave instructions of how to get in. I called and emailed no response but was relieved to find the door open. I would of been mad if I had shown up and locked out. Also I seen an outside light over door but could not find the light switch, flash light in the drawer but didn't work. VERY dark to walk the dog.

House not what it appeared to be on-line.

Pros: loved sitting on the front porch enjoying nature with little humidity in Aug. Great AC system . Cons:A 1960’s house that needs serious upgrades & a deep cleaning. Musty smell , hair in the tub, a dead roach in the bedroom & a bunch of moldy grapes in a bowl in the cabinet. 3 lamps in the living area, none of which worked . Very dirty tables on the front porch. Not the same lovely furniture as shown in the porch picture. Babbling brook is almost non-existent unless you walk up the hillside to see more water….

The stairs going upstairs were very steep. It was difficult to move items upstairs and downstairs. The bottom floor had a musky smell as well. The cabin is in a great location. I have stayed in Babbling Brook and Falling Waters cabins previously. They are fantastic!

Varför värden valde detta boende

Location, location, location. The cottage is right next to a stream. During the summer you can sleep with the windows open hearing the sound of the falling water and have breakfast on the large porch. During the winter curl up in the living room with the fireplace.
