Denna familj ägs och förvaltas stuga har spektakulära söderläge utsikt över Coverdale, som kan avnjutas från både öppna planlösning. Den stenhus, som i sin egen mogna trädgård, har nyligen renoverats samtidigt behålla mycket av sin ursprungliga karaktär. Nära till otaliga attraktioner men ändå avskilt, erbjuder detta semesterstuga alla besökare en lugn oas men du vill tillbringa dagen. Den närmaste pub är en kort promenad från stugan. Marknaden staden Leyburn 4 miles från byn erbjuder bra shopping för besökare. Som en biflod till den populära Wensleydale, är Coverdale en bortglömd pärla i Yorkshire Dales är omgiven av gamla stigar och gångvägar och fullmatat med vilda djur. Mile House East är en perfekt bas för att utforska Dales om till fots, cykel eller bil. Ett omfattande nätverk av stigar kan nås från byn.

Lovely stay in beautiful location

We are 7 who used to live and work together - had an amazing reunion at your lovely house. We loved the upstairs room, sat catching up, loads of laughter and chatter. Lovely walks, lovely setting, all we have needed was here, thank you!

Fantastic Break

We had a lovely few days at the property, much bigger than we expected. Upstairs lounge/Tv/Snooker table was really well used. Everything you need is there. Great location and wonderful dog walks. Would definitely recommend.

Great place to stay

Great property, lovely scenic views, good facilities. Great outside space. Literally in the middle of nowhere, great for walkers. Would definitely visit again. Only niggle was on the surface looked clean but was very dusty and lots of cobwebs which appreciate can be quickly spun however not the amount about. As it is dog friendly would have liked an enclosed area for them. No negative just feedback. Photo is view from the front door.

New Year stay

We had a wonderful time staying here with friends over new year. The upstairs living space was fantastic for the two families of four to hang out in (children aged 12, 13 and 14). The views are wonderful and we managed a great walk. The kitchen was well equipped and the owners were really helpful when we needed to get in touch. Would highly recommend staying here as a group.

Just Perfect

Property was clean, spacious, very well equipped and cosy with stunning views. Beautiful villages.and local pubs serving home cooked food a short drive away and Forbidden Corner practically on the doorstep. We had a very enjoyable stay and will be back.

Belated birthday gathering

We gathered here as a surprise for my partner who had a special birthday at Christmas. Her children and grandchildren arrived as part of the surprise. Everyone was most impressed with the property and everyone like the up stairs lounge come games room. Great location and beuatiful views.

Fantastic

Beautiful property, perfect for a family get together. Shame not to be able to enjoy the outdoor space so much in January but it would be lovely in the summer. Lots of space for big groups to spread out, lovely bedrooms and enjoyed both log fires. Really clean and prompt response to a couple of questions. WiFi also great, which is brilliant for those working from home. Thanks for a great stay!

Stunning location

The property was spacious and set in a stunning, quiet location. The view from the patio was breathtaking. It was very well equipped with everything you may need and more. The pool table was a bonus. We visited Bolton Castle and Forbidden Corner. Both were great family fun days out. We even travelled on the North Yorkshire Moors steam Railway and visited Aysgarth Falls. The owner was very helpful and answered our queries promptly. They kindly left chocolate and wine for us to celebrate my husband’s 70th. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning.

Mile House East

Great house with good facilities. Lovely location near a nice community pub. 5 miles or so from a good coop supermarket. Great walking and sightseeing country. It is dog friendly, but not upstairs, and the second lounge is upstairs. Understandable, but its not explained on the listing. We had a great stay.

Super large property with great facilities

Six friends and one dog stayed at this delightful and well equipped house. Spacious areas for dining and chilling out and a brilliant room with pool table and TV. Bedrooms are large with three bathrooms and a downstairs toilet. Great garden areas on different levels to catch the sun and views. Local pub just 15 mins walk away serving decent food. It’s in beautiful countryside outside Leyburn with some outstanding scenery. Great for walking Penn Hill and surrounding area. The welcome treats and wine were a lovely gesture - thank you.

A comfortable house with a lovely view

The property is spacious, with the addition of an upstairs lounge with a pool table (great for teenagers). All the beds comfortable and its very quiet at night. The kitchen is rather small in comparison, and the only space for food is a warm? larder cupboard. The other quirky thing is the lighting system, two way switches which are baffling when you first arrive and a buzzy light fixture. Also there were several defunct bulbs, but the caretakers did come and sort that out. All in all, a good place to stay.

Mile House East is a cottage that has been in our family for nearly 50 years and is currently owned by brothers Peter and Andy McKinlay. We have been able to refurbish and upgrade the property but retain the original features in this lovely old house. Last year we were able to extend the first floor into the old barn and create a large second living space as well as a fifth bedroom and second bathroom. Our families regularly use the cottage ourselves and we now have plenty of space. With three growing children in each family every corner of the dales becomes our adventure playground.

Wonderful countryside at your front door. Close to both Leyburn - a thriving market town where you can pick up anything you need for your stay. Community owned pub - The Foresters Arms - witin walking distance. Forbidden Corner - voted Best Family Day out 2012 - a few miles away.
