On the water with plenty of beautiful beach. Friendly staff. Grounds and pool area maintained every day. Explored most of island from this west central location.

Property was exactly as described. Clean and had everything we needed. Beach was great. Location was within walking distance to bakery, farm stand and the best shave ice on the Island. We hope to be back!

We really enjoyed our stay. The condo has a wonderful view, super helpful reception area and the grounds are kept immaculate. The room could have used a carpet cleaning. I would stay here again and will take advantage of the Hula class, spa and water aerobics.

Hawaiian Getaway

We enjoyed our visit! The only issue we had was difficulty opening the slider to the lanai. Track needs thorough cleaning and WD40!

I was disappointed in my stay here. During the week of my stay the building was under maintenance painting the exterior balconies and we were not able to use the lanai facing the pool between 8am and 4pm. Which also meant workers were banging around, scraping and drilling on the front and back of our unit all day long starting early in the morning. I contacted the rental manager and they mentioned they were not aware of such projects. They offered compensation, but it never showed up. Property was nice, beach was nice and swimmable. Don't recommend renting from Coldwell Banker Island Vacations. They don't seem to know what's going on with their properties. There are plenty of other owners in this property with similar options.

The condo itself was perfect and very nice! Property is a bit older but maintained very well and has what you need. Had issues with door code that made it very frustrating and the pool code. Also, office hours are not great for those arriving late or leaving early, but you are able to get ahold of people when needed. You will also need a rental car to make it easier to get around to places to eat or activities. No parking fee also. Our stay in Maui was very nice.

Thank you for letting us stay at your condo. We loved it. We had everything we needed. Bed is comfy. Kitchen is well stocked with dishes and pots and pans. We didn’t spend a lot of time on the room because there is so much to do. We loved the hot tub and pool. Beach was nice. Sunset are beautiful. I would suggest shutters over the bedroom window as the hall light outside stays on all night. Other than that it was perfect. I miss Maui!

9 day Stay at Sugar Beach Resort

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was somewhat unhappy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The apartment was as described, has everything you need. But it‘s too small and too far away from everything for that price. We didn‘t have seaview as promised(payed extra for it). And also after contacting CB Island Vacations we haven‘t heard anything. They simply ignored our request.

TV in the room required wireless internet and was difficult to even have the kids watch a cartoon show in the morning or evenings. My husband required the use of the internet for his work and had to sit next to the modem in order to get the best connection. Other than the internet issue, the condo was clean and location was great.

Economical Condo but Bumbled Last Day

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our stay was very good until the last day. Housekeeping banged on our day at 10:00 wanting to know when we were leaving. We told her very soon, that check out was at 11:00 per the resort's website. The Housekeeper left in a "huff", but came back in just a few minutes and banged on the door again. We told her we would be out in 15 minutes to which she angrily replied "15 Minutes?!!!". We were out by 10:28. But at virtually the same time... received a call from a manager (?) telling us the housekeeper had "reported us" for not being checked out yet. I explained we were out at 10:28, but check out was 11:00 per the website. We were told by this person that “no it is 10:00 you booked with a different service”. I was also told we would likely get a late charge. We also checked out with the front desk and explained all of the above. The clerk was very apologetic and professional re. the situation. If this is indeed true (that there are differing check out times) we would recommend that each condo have individualized check out time instructions available in the instruction manual (in addition to the extensive housekeeping instructions on chores your leasers are assigned).

Maui Honeymoon Trip

Enjoyed the condo. AC was great. Wifi was a bit slow once you got further away from the router (like the bedroom). We enjoyed being so close to the beach and having access to a pool/hot tub. Need to rent a car to access everything Maui has to offer. Would stay here again.

Honeymoon— May 2022

My husband and I had a great time in Maui at Sugar Beach Resort for our honeymoon! We rented a car and had quite a few activities planned, so much of our time was spent away from the resort. However, Sugar Beach is a great place to stay! Convenient to access other parts of the island and many beautiful beaches near by. Condo was just as expected according to online photos and reviews. Check in process was easy. I would recommend renting a car to get to other restaurants and beaches near by. Would love to come back again!

Sugar Beach Resort is Amazing

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We rented Sugar Beach condo unit 209. Amazing view from the lanai. Our lanai view matches the pictures advertised online. Our 2nd story condo looked over the pool, hot tub and clear views of the ocean. The unit was clean and fit our family of 4. The unit had 1 bedroom and a sleeper sofa. Everything was clean. Having a full kitchen was a huge benefit. Don't expect the resort to look like a 5 star Marriott. That is not the point. The resort is older, but everything is clean. Remember the price you are paying...if you want a 5 star hotel, then go stay at one and pay double what you are paying for Sugar Beach. It is a short 5 minute walk to get shave ice, bakery, and gift shops. Kihei is quiet without congestion and traffic. Less than 20 mins to the OGG airport and only about 35-40 mins to Lahaina and Paia. Eat at the Sand Witch right on the resort, great sandwiches and Mai Tais! Make sure to hit Kimo's, Hanu, Fish Market, Frida's, Lava Rock Rooftop. We loved our stay at Sugar Beach!
