Terrible Dilapidated Mess, Please Do Not Rent
I wish I could post pictures of this mess, I will try to describe the best I can. Complete False advertising. I spent about six hours on the phone and lost a day and a half of my vacation dealing with this to get a small fraction of what I paid and was told that is all that can be done, and he is still renting this place. We also had a strange feeling he was staying in the garage while we were there.Homeowner insisted on meeting to show where all the light switches are and tell us to turn down furnace when leaving and put magnets on the vents. The yard was full of trash, a miter saw in the yard, shop vac, plastic sheets, trash, the front porch was a stack of chairs and stuff, Sheets and towels stacked in chairs inside the house, cabinet doors that will not close, cabinet with no doors with cleaning supplies and paint accessible to children, cleaning chemicals everywhere, paint, buckets of stucco, all closets full, dirty and smelled. The showers had left over shampoo, soaps, sponges, razors, and dirty. After my wife told him the fridge was dirty, and she cleaned it upon arriving he said that she is pickier than him. I sent pics into Vrbo and had managers telling me that it was unhabitable, I could still not get refunded. I have contacted the Santa Fe Short Term Rental Office for a start. I cannot in good conscience ignore this and have others rent this place, especially if they have young children.
