South Solana Beach Condo

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property was exactly as described. It was a bit dated yet very clean and was a perfect place for our family for the week. The beach access across the street was fun and shops/coffee/train station were within walking distance (under a mile to everything). The only thing I could gripe about was the fact that almost of the blinds were broken but it was a minor problem really. We would definitely stay again.

Clean and convenient

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall, we had a nice stay at this rental. We were able to save some money booking directly with Stubbs as opposed to VRBO or AirBNB. The condo was clean. No AC wasn't really an issue until the last couple of days which were hot. Location was great because it was only ~25-30 min from downtown SD and ~1 hour from downtown LA. We had ants crawling around here and there but that was taken care of right away after contacting the management company.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We really enjoyed our stay. The condo is great. Lots of room and nice being next to the tennis courts and pool. Played tennis everyday!Only problems were trying to turn on lights and fans with remote on the wall. Maybe need battery check. Kitchen is good but could use some larger mixing size bowls. Will definitely stay there again!

Nice location and amenities

We enjoyed the location of the VRBO in that we could go across the street to view the ocean any time we wanted. It was nice to have a heated pool for our grandchildren when they came to visit. The kitchen had the supplies to make our meals there. There was one significant drawback, you could not control the heat in the living room....it was locked at one temperature and the time it was on was locked too.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We really liked working with Dave Stubbs Rental. They are accessible and helpful when we have a question or issue. We also liked Delmar Beach Club (east side). The location of the development is very nice. Our rental was fine. Our complaint was that it was very chilly inside and we could never warm it up adequately. It’s also located next to a neighbor who plays music with her windows open. Mildly annoying. Overall we really enjoyed our stay.

Winter Getaway

The unit and the community worked out well. Everything worked as advertised. Location and proximity to ocean is terrific. Rental office did nice job of communicating proactively and responding when necessary. Unit itself was cold temp-wise as it is winter. Difficult to heat in mornings. We had a great time and would come back.

Week stay at Solana Beach

The property is in a good location for access to the beach. The condo unit worked well for us to gather for meals and socializing. The common grounds in the complex could use some maintenance. Specifically the jets on the Jacuzzi don't work and the light over the common barbecue doesn't work. The unit is across the road from the beachfront units so requires going through two gates to get to the beach.

Our favorite beach rental yet

Our family has been renting beach homes/condos each summer for several years, typically in the San Clemente area, but this year we decided to try a different location. This has, by far, has been our favorite place, for several reasons: 1. The beach - perfect for surfing several hours a day and only a short distance from the condo. 2. The area - there are plenty of unique dining options within a short distance. From coffee and a danish in the morning to dinner out with the family. 3. The condo - the condo was roomy and clean. We enjoyed the fact that it was across the street from the beach access as it was much quieter and did not feel like everyone was walking by you at all hours while accessing the beach. 4. The management - extremely helpful and friendly. They even called mid week to make sure that the unit met our expectations and if we needed anything. Upon arrival, there was a jug of milk in the fridge and some snacks on the counter. It may sound a bit silly that this meant so much, but with five teenage children, that staves off the hunger (coupled with the cereal we brought with us) so we did not have to go grocery shopping or out to eat right away. We will definitely be returning.

Nice vacation rental

Serious Problem with Stubbs Rental Company

Stubbs Rental company rented a UNIT that should not even be available for clients, in our opinion. Our vacation was a nightmare, terrible, with the VERY LOUD noise and the dust of the construction was going on in front of our Unit, we couldn’t even open the window of the house. We think that how Stubbs Co Rental behaved with us in this situation, we think that they are more worry in making money then the client well staying. Shame. Neves will use Stubbs again in our life to rent anything. We can NOT trust in Stubbs work.

Nice vacation rental

A nice place that had everything we needed. The only complain is that it was a bit smelly (probably common to places of high humidity?); we felt this smell very strong when we arrived; after a short time, not sure it went away or we got used to it, but "issue" not a deal breaker; Overall, I really recommend this place and will return. Thank you very much.
