Apartment was cute, the high ceilings made it seem larger than it was. It worked for this trip but I wouldn't recommend or personally stay there again.
Positives - It is in a great neighborhood and best part is that it is on a quiet street so you don't have to contend with the crazy late night mayhem. Also, it is on the first floor so only one short flight of steps. The ceiling in the apartment is super old and cool to look at. For location, it can't be beat!
Negatives - Wasn't as clean as I would have expected, there were crumbs all over the kitchen table and chairs from previous renters, the curtains were covered in dust so bad that I told my kids not to touch them but the plastic handle to close the curtain had previously been snapped off so you had no choice but to touch them to close/open, the bathroom has black mildew on sink, and the AC system needs to be serviced because it doesn't blow consistently but intermittently, sounds like ocean waves crashing and made it really hard to fall asleep.
Also, when we checked in, the owner's son - who was very kind and on time - pointed out that the lamp next to the bed had been broken by the previous renters, but it was strange, they didn't bother to pick it up and it was laying there on its side broken in half. They should have cleaned it up. Also, there were strange old sheets and dirty pillows covering the couch, we didn't want to touch them and laid bed sheets on top.
