We were overall very pleased with the location close to the ocean. Crescent City didn't end up being our favorite, but we did love exploring the tide pools at the light house close by. When we got to the house, the kitchen floor was very visibly not swept, but we found a broom quickly. We also had to unplug the Glade plug-ins because they were very strong (but we are sensitive to perfume smells). We delt with ants in the closets and the beds. Luckily, we had some peppermint oil, which kept them at bay. My kids loved the game room, and we were very grateful for the washer and dryer! We just had to run to Walmart for laundry soap and body soap for the shower (which we left there for the next family).

Hiking in Redwood Forest

We had a great family vacation exploring the state and national parks and hiking! House was perfect as our home base. Just as described.

House in Crescent

The interior size of this property was nice. Super clean! There was zero outdoor yard, but an outside sunroom. The location was the best part as much of Crescent City is rundown. Lacked any warmth or charm. Provided the bare basics (ie single hotel size tube of conditioner, shampoo & lotion for the 8 of us staying for 3 night, 4 laundry detergent tabs, 4 DollarTree brand kcups). Felt like a business that did not appreciate their customers - very cheap. I had to contact the host to get directions to get in - normally they are sent in advance.

Wonderful location!

You cannot beat this beachside house! The path to pebble beach was like three houses down the road, we walked down with our kids every day. It was awesome! The neighborhood is so cute, and close to grocery stores. The game room/garage was super fun, and I loved that there was accessible laundry after going to the beach! The only notes I have is that the house smelled a little musty, and the internet password was a little hard to figure out because it didn't exactly match the one written down. But we loved staying here!

Fun Beach & Redwoods Accommodation

The game room with foosball and ping pong were great activities when it was rainy. The house was clean and had lots of space. Very nice!

Great family Getaway!

We had a wonderful stay at house in Crescent City. It had everything we needed and was literally about a 1/4mile of walk from the beach. A very easy walk. Great location. Loved the place. Thank you!

Not an accurate listing

There was a few repairs that need to be fixed. Garbage disposal not working. Shower not working and seems to be since November based on the reviews. This should be noted in the listing as this was why we chose this house.

Horrible check in process and horrible communication - Do not recommend this place

We get there to find out the place is locked, and we can't get into the lockbox. We called the manager, but she didn't have the key or lockbox code. The manager calls the owner, who doesn't have it either. The owner comes to try to see if she can get in but cant and has to go back home, get a spare, go to Home Depot, and bring us a key. Essentially, after working all day in the forest and my employees wanting to get into their rooms and shower, we were delayed about an hour and a half from entering the home past our check-in time. After that, the master bedroom shower was not working (not described in the listing), and the floors were dirty. We were ignored when we asked them to comp us one night or give a discount. Approach with caution!

Great location

We spent most of our time exploring the Redwoods so this home was a perfect location. The game area in the garage was nice for our teens. Unfortunately, the shower wasn’t working in the main bathroom but we managed.

Great house in a great location

My husband and 3 teenage children and i stayed at this property when we visited the Redwood National and State Forests. It was everything we could ask for. Close proximity to Jedediah Smith State Park so we got a great experience with that. Within walking distance of the ocean a stunning sunsets. The beds were comfy, the kitchen was adequate for the simple meals we made, the washer and dryer were super useful and the kids loved the gameroom. We would all recommend this property.

Horrible

This was our worst VRBO stay. There was an issue with wet carpet in the master bedroom. The wet floor was along the wall shared with the master bathroom, so we were concerned. I hope I'll be able to attach the pics to the review. Both closets had wet floor and mildew smell. The house says not to wear shoes but has wet carpet- gross. We contacted the property manger. She said "I'll let the owners know" and then quit returning calls/texts (from us or VRBO) until check-out a week later. I didn't feel comfortable using that bathroom because i didn't want to make a problem worse. We picked this house specifically to have 2 bathrooms for a family of 4, so having this issue was annoying. We contacted VRBO after not being able to reach the property manager, but the property manager didn't respond to VRBO either. There were other issues with cleaning. I lost a headphone, so we had to dig in the couch and OMG- we pulled some interesting stuff out. We had to wash most dishes we pulled out of cupboards. It was ridiculous. I wasted the first few days of our trip trying to find somewhere else to stay, but it's a popular destination, so we just stayed at this home. The location is great, but if you need something during your stay- you're screwed.
