Stugan har privata vandringsleder, vattenfall och 2 000 fot fasad pÄ Straight Creek. Stugan Àr din perfekta resa att varva ner och ladda. Ligger bara 1. 5 miles frÄn besökscentret i Desoto State Park, stugan ligger nÀra allt inklusive Mentone, Little River Canyon och Ft. Payne.

Master Suite:
Njut av lugnet i skogen och gyllene solnedgÄngar frÄn bekvÀmligheten med den lyxiga King-sÀngen med 600 trÄdlinne. Franska dörrar leder till det stora bakre dÀck med en eldstad.

BefÀlhavaren har ocksÄ en sittgrupp med en antik soffa frÄn Frankrike, en master garderob, bröst och ett master badrum med en fullstor tvÀttmaskin och torktumlare.

This was an excellent place for a quiet weekend! The house is very well maintained and clean, and there are multiple areas to sit back and enjoy nature. It was a perfect combination of modern amenities and the rustic charm of a cabin. The hosts were also very welcoming and made sure I had everything I needed.

Pet friendly. Ramp is wonderful for access to those with physical limitations. Comfortable furnishings. Beautiful seclusion. Blissfully quiet. Clean. Homey. Fantastic bed and pillows. This was a perfect place to rest and relax. Although there is a television and games and lots of things to see and do in the area, this is a peaceful oasis from a busy world. It’s perfect to read and write and rest!

Everything in the VRBO description was spot on, but better. We felt like we belonged here. A/C went out the first night and the owner had it repaired the next morning! We absolutely loved staying here

Little River Cabin

This was great location, right between the Desoto Park and Little River Canyon. If you're looking for private charming cabin that's in the middle of everything in the area, this is the place. We will be staying here again.

Best appointed VRBO ever!

David and Lilly have furnished their cabin in the woods with everything you could want. From 4 different coffee making options, to a full kitchen with top notch furnishings including real plates and glasses (not cheap plastic stuff). They even left a personal greeting plus a special treat to enjoy in the evening.The cabin was very comfortable and fairly secluded, if you want to get away, but still easy to get to.They also communicated very well, advising easy checking instructions before we arrived. They reached out on our first morning to make sure our first night went well. They also responded very quickly to a couple of questions that came up during our stay. I wish all VRBO managers were this great to work with.

Nature Abounds

If you’re seeking serenity and the comforts of a well-appointed home, look no further. This gorgeous home is situated on 20 private acres, which boasts a waterfall and creek on the property. Outdoor seating abounds on this property, as you will find benches, chairs around a fire ring, a picnic table, porch swing, and even a cozy daybed on the screened in porch. All of which are perfect for resting and taking in nature. The interior of the home is perfection! Antiques, including beautiful sets of china, are tastefully sprinkled throughout the home. Reclaimed wood accents add a special touch to the decor & bring nature into the home. Books, games, a piano, ukulele, & guitar are available, too. Lighting in the home creates a peaceful ambiance any time of day. Housekeeping does a fantastic job ensuring the home is clean and prepared for guests. Bed linens are soft 100% cotton and the mattresses are comfortable. The kitchen is stocked well, having pretty much anything you need. Fresh flowers were placed in various spots in the house & a welcome message was written on the chalkboard door in the kitchen. David & Lilly have created an oasis you will not want to leave!

Great get away. Home is perfect! Piano/guitar was a surprise for my musically talented hubby. Love the Roman shades, easy to raise and get the full pic of outdoors. The Christmas decor was nice and cozy.

We had a wonderful stay at this woodsy hideaway! Everything was perfect from the excellent directions to the super comfy king bed. The pictures do not even do the place justice. Wonderfully appointed kitchen with everything we needed. We really enjoyed relaxing on the screened in porch listening to the birds and even saw a few deer pass by. Close to great hiking at De Soto and Little River Canyon. Highly recommend!

Wonderful stay

We had a great time. It’s very convenient to the state park and a great place for runs. The house had some great touches and the screen porch was great for reading and relaxing. The host communicated every step of the way and was very helpful when we left a couple of things behind. The dogs loved it too.

Very clean and great location

The cabin was very clean and the location was great real close to the state parks . The outdoor area was a little overgrown and the keypad to get into the cabin was very sensitive and took several tries each time to get in. But overall fabulous place to stay and super clean and great location.

Peaceful and relaxing stay

The host contacted us after checkin to make sure we found the home as described and see if we needed anything. He was helpful and responded quickly to any inquiries. The cabin is warm and inviting. The kitchen is well stocked with everthing you could need and more. The masterbed is very comfortable and the view into the woods from the deck is a perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee or evening cocktail. The property was so enjoyable, whether sitting on the front swing looking into the small garden or exploring the trail down to the creek and waterfall. I have to mention how sweet it was to have a 3 dog welcoming committee whenever we drove onto the property! What a treat and my dog made quick friends! We would book this cabin again and highly recommend it for any nature lover who is looking for a serene place to stay.

So relaxing!

This is a beautiful woodsy cottage close to the town. It has a wonderful layout, and is decorated beautifully. Everything was neat and clean. The side porch was perfect. The back deck could use a little work, but it wasn’t too bad.

Very cute and clean cabin

As others have said, the pictures don't do this property justice. It is very well decorated and impeccably clean. We made a point to enjoy all the special spots: the fire table on the back deck, the day bed on the screened porch, the wood burning fireplace inside, the swing on the front porch, and the creek out back. Location was great: we hiked DeSoto and Little River Canyon during our stay, and enjoyed some beautiful drives in the area

Lilly is a nurse and has a passion for plant-based nutrition, and I work in technology and love making music and spending time outdoors.

We live in Orlando, Florida and fell in love with the small town of Mentone, AL where we host guests at our cottage.

Varför vÀrden valde detta boende

We fell in love with the land before we fell in love with the house. We wanted some elbow-room and we're set on finding some land with extraordinary natural features. Once we walked by the small waterfall and down to the creek, we were sold. The house needed some love, and after about a year living in the home making it our own, we want to share it with you.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

Without question, the land is special and we think you'll agree. We still love to get out and explore the property. We cut a couple of thousand feet of trail to make it easier to navigate, but we like to go off trail and find new spots. There is a 12' waterfall behind the cottage that flows down the mountain into a creek in the holler.
