Även om vĂ„r stuga Ă€r utrustad med satellit-TV som innebĂ€r att du inte missar din favorit match under hösten, de flesta av er kommer att lĂ€mna bort det att njuta av din vilsam omgivning. Den stora veranda Ă€r den perfekta platsen att njuta av den svala skuggan av trĂ€den pĂ„ sommaren och fĂ€rgglada falla. VintermĂ„naderna avslöjar skönheten i dalen nedanför och Ă„sarna i fjĂ€rran.
Familj, vÀnner, eller bara tvÄ du kan njuta av rustik furu panel "samlingsrum" dÀr du kan lÀsa böcker, spela kort eller brÀdspel, titta pÄ TV, eller koka upp nÄgot Àr fullt utrustat kök. Always clean and welcoming! Kitchen is well stocked and the beds are still very comfy. A/C and heat work great and the location is quiet. Loved the sunsets from the deck, hikes at Little River, and food in town!

House was immaculate,beds were comfortable and we had everything we needed during our stay. Enjoyed the gas logs for warmth without having to build a fire.First 2 days were very cold so we didn’t get to spend much time on the porch but did get to see the Aurora Borealis that occurred while there.Only disappointment was many of the shops and restaurants were closed during the week.

We really enjoyed our house. It was filled with all possible supplies and amenities. It was comfortable. The view of the mountains was spectacular and it was close enough to Mentone to eat and shop. It was private and quiet and even saw some wildlife. Close to DeSito Falls and Park. I would definitely rent this house again!

This was the second time we stayed at this property and it was better than the first time as we knew exactly what to expect. The house is situated in the State Park such that it's easy to get to many of the park nature sites. It has become our go to property when we want to go to the mountains.

As advertised! Peaceful, serine, tranquil stay with a beautiful view off of the brow. Close to downtown Mentone, DeSoto Falls and Little River Canyon. We've stayed in properties before and this one is top notch. We had some issues arise and the host was very understanding and willing to work with us. Ten star host. Just what we needed

The house was comfortable and quiet. Pretty much everything we needed was supplied. As nice as the house was my favorite part was the porch. There is nothing more calming to me than to sit in a rocking chair and watch the sunset.

Just What We Needed

Not a bad thing to say about this cabin. House was clean. Had everything we needed. Loved the porch. Check in was a breeze and we were even allowed to check in early since we got in town a couple of hours early. We spent time at DeSoto Falls and hiked some trails around the State Park. Mentone is such a great little town. Would stay here again.

What a great location!

This was our second stay at this cabin
as before, it is very clean, has a beautiful view, is conveniently located, and very comfy
the beds are comfortable & the kitchen has what you need
we are 2 women 60 so we love that it’s one floor and close to everything we wanted to visit
I do have 2 suggestions to improve the property
one is to provide a keurig coffee machine
I’m sure other guests would love it as well
the other is to update the television to provide something other than Dish reception
the first night, there were terrible storms & our area was under a tornado warning
we could not get a local channel at all so we were clueless as to what the weather was doing in our area
we eventually lost television reception & spent some time in the hall bathroom because we were unsure exactly what was headed our way
these suggestions are not a criticism—just ways that improvements could be made on a nearly perfect property
thank you for letting us share this beautiful spot
hopefully we’ll return in the future.

One of the Best We've Stayed at

This cabin is awesome! It is immaculate and well laid out with two bedrooms and two baths. There is a great porch overlooking the valley. Though our intention was to visit Mentone and De Soto State Park, we did neither, instead staying at the cabin and enjoying the solitude and scenery. We will definitely stay here again when we're in the area.

My husband and I love the Mentone area, and in the past we enjoyed staying in rented cabins and the state park. We live 2 hours away, and in 2005 we purchased a cabin of our own on the west brow. We enjoy the area so much, we purchased land and built another cottage for renters and 'spill over' room for our family gatherings. Our cottage is managed by Susan Collins with Mentone Properties, LLC

Varför vÀrden valde detta boende

Several years ago my husband and I fell in love with Mentone and this area of Lookout Mountain. We love the West brow view with its beautiful sunsets and distant sounds of the trains traveling in the valley to Chattanooga. In 2006, we purchased land directly across from Comer Boy Scout Camp on Desoto Parkway (County Road 89) and built our Chestnut Oaks in the quaint Mentone style on the edge of the west brow.
