AMAZING! LAKESHORE HOME w/DOCK; Sleeps 7

We call our little piece of Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom La Frontière, which means “The Border” in English, because the house sits just a few hundred yards south of the border with the Canadian province of Québec on Lake Memphremagog.

The property has a long history of recreational use, enjoyed by visitors and their friends and families for many decades. We’ve recently completed extensive renovations on the house, and now we’re so happy to be able to share it with guests like you.

One or two well-behaved pets are welcome with prior approval. If bringing a pet please also bring sheets/blankets to protect furniture. Please message us before booking to discuss our pet policies.

We have a hilly driveway so DURING WINTER MONTHS A SNOW/ICE WORTHY VEHICLE IS A MUST. We provide shovels and salt for your use during your stay to maintain walkways. The driveway is plowed and sanded as needed. A vehicle that is good in snow/ice is mandatory during winter months.

We had a wonderful time at La Frontiere. Brad and Rose were excellent hosts. The home was as advertised with an amazing view and access to the lake. We would definitely come back again.

We had an amazing stay on the lake! This property is private, peaceful and relaxing! Water access for canoes, kayaks and paddle boards was so easy. The fire pit was perfect for enjoying evening outdoors! We will surely be back! #lovememphramagog!

The property was perfect for us. It was secluded with a great view of the lake. Peaceful mornings watching the fog burn off. Watched eagles flying around and one landed right on the property, later learned there is an eagle sanctuary across the lake. Had turkeys walk through the yard and listened to the loons on the lake. We were looking for rest and relaxation and that’s what we got. The host was very responsive though we didn’t run into any issues. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the equipment we needed and then some. Honestly, didn’t want to leave.

Great lake house to spend some relaxing time at. If you are looking for a quiet, off the beaten path place to stay and recharge, this is the place for you. Everything was exactly how it was described and photographed. Just sitting on the porch and admiring the lake was very relaxing. But you can also bring or rent a kayak to get out on the water and explore. The evenings were awesome as well, just hanging out by the firepit and watching the countless stars appear as the sunsets. The house was very clean and the bed in the master was beyond comfortable. I would certainly recommend this property. The main town is a short drive away and we even ventured further to do some hiking and biking.

The stay was very comfortable. The house was clean and as described. Plenty of cooking utensils, picturesque views with a fire pit and pet friendly. The host responds quick as well.

Beautiful, immaculate well appointed house in a very quiet area along the shores of Lake Memphremagog. Incredible views into Canada, room for everybody, and very easy to get to Newport Center by car or boat. The owner does rent his boat via Boatsetter.com, so that’s a plus. One really nice thing is the beds. They have firm, newer mattresses and soft high quality bedding. This is not your typical scratchy cottage sleep experience. Very very nice. Lots of fire flies at night and a fire pit for making smores. Great for stargazing on clear nights. The AC was most appreciated during the latest heatwave.

Winter wonderland

Relaxing getaway on the lake. Able to easily ice fish, snowshoe or sit inside to watch the lake and read. Hope to go back and enjoy in the summer.

Another great trip on the lake

This was a return visit for me and the experience delivered again! The home is a fantastic lake property with great water access and the living room with the fireplace and waterview is amazing. We will certainly be coming back again.

Great property!

We rented this house for a week in August and thoroughly enjoyed it! The house was just as advertised, clean and comfortable. The property was great! Plenty of lake frontage to dock a boat and a separate area for swimming. Good communication with the owner, who was very helpful. Just a really nice, peaceful place to spend our vacation!

A beautiful property on a peaceful lake. Very well thought out by owners with many small additional amenities that made the stay even better. Comfortable beds and furniture. All nicely laid out. Kitchen well stocked with dishes and cookware. A great place to relax after a day of skiing.

Brad‘s home was a perfect setting in the NEK as I brought two people to the lake and taught them how to ice fish for their first time ever and they are now hooked for life!

Wunderbar

You never know what you are going to get with a short-term rental. In this case, the listing definitely undersells the property. It is clean, comfortable and peaceful. This is a great base to explore the northeast kingdom and the eastern townships or just enjoy Magog.

Second time around!

Rented this house for the second year in a row and it didn't disappoint! House is clean and modern, and the location is exceptional! Lots of lake frontage for swimming and fishing and plenty of lawn for games and relaxing. Easy drive into town with plenty of stores and restaurants. Communication with owner was great as always. Looking forward to returning!!
