Liten stuga 20 x 24 pÄ den historiska platsen söder om South Bend, Indiana 10 minuter till Notre Dame Den gamla Rupel Estate ligger i utkanten av South Bend lantliga och urbana klyftor. Fastigheten har vunnit ett pris för historisk bevarande. SkogsomrÄde omger fastigheten och vilda djur finns i omrÄdet. Huvudbyggnaden byggdes 1875 under omrÄdet efter inbördeskriget. Bakom det vita jÀrnvÀgsstaketet som beskriver fastigheten, sitter en liten stuga pÄ östra sidan av gÄrden och sover 2-4. The property was very nice and clean. This is a little hidden gem in South Bend. The owners were awesome! Very peaceful place. If you are looking just to get away for a few days, this is the place to relax.

Quiet and Quaint

Very quiet, safe and country like setting. I enjoyed talking to the Host about the history of the property. Everything listed on VRBO was true to the experience. We enjoyed our stay.

The location was excellent and close to our family. The rooms were comfortable and the laundry was an awesome convenience. The cottage met our needs for those two days and the cookies were delicious!

Really enjoyed our stay

The cottage is small yes but more than adequate for two people and it’s cozy. The grill was nice to have. Hosts are friendly and available if you need them but they give you your space too.

The property grounds are beautiful, and the location is in a quiet, rural setting, that is also less than two minutes away from many conveniences. The lodging itself is small, but perfect for two people, though you could easily accommodate four. The only suggestion is bring a fan to help move the cool air of the air conditioner if staying on particularly hot days.Side note- host makes excellent cookies.

Great cozy cabin. Easy to find. Super quiet. Older building with lots of charm. Old pine walls and ceiling were perfect nostalgia, brought back childhood memories.Hosts were extremely friendly too.

Goldilocks...

The grounds where the cottage sits are wonderful - full of trees, flowers and Wild Turkeys!! We enjoyed having our coffee outside on the porch. The location is central to Notre Dame as well as restaurants/shopping. Cute little touches inside that gave it a "homey" feel! Plenty of linens; the washer and dryer are a really nice amenity. Our only issue and the reason we didn't give it an overall rating of Excellent revolved around the sleeping accommodations; not the bed itself, but the mattress - it did not make for a restful night and we were there for 3. We would definitely book again if we knew we were going to get good Zzzzzzzzz, thanx!

Perfect cozy country cottage!

Beautiful and charming, private cottage next to the woods but very convenient to South Bend. Check-in was a breeze, the owners were extremely responsive any time I had questions. Upon arrival, I was greeted by fresh flowers and a plate of delicious, individually-wrapped cookies and brownies. Charming, well-chosen decor, and all of the amenities I needed to cook meals when I wasn't dining out with family. The cottage is a fair distance away from the host's house, and from another cottage on the property, so it's nicely private. It's near the garage and driveway, so unloading from parking in the driveway is quick and convenient. Everything was spotlessly clean and charming - a beautiful refuge. WiFi was fast and flawless. Faith and Joe are excellent hosts, and this beautiful cottage was exactly the refuge I needed while in the area to visit family!

Quaint and Charming

A lovely little cottage that is well-maintained and accentuated with small personal touches like fresh flowers, cookies, and bottles of water. The bed was quite comfy. Fair warning: if you're on the taller/broader side (I'm 6'4, 250lbs), make sure you keep your head and shoulders tucked in while moving around at first. Took a few knocks here and there being careless, but that is no fault of the property or its owners! 10/10 would stay again!

Relaxfull

My husband and I had a very relaxing time at this historical cabin. It was perfect for what we needed and we slept really good. There was an issue with the shower head and when letting them know, they were right on it and the issue was resolved. We will come back the next time we visit family. I would highly recommend this place to stay.

Very nice stay. Very small but cozy. It had personal touches from the owners. Enjoyed the deer coming up and eating apples from the tree. Houses were nearby but you didn't really notice when you were inside. Landscape was adorable. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Joseph is an artist retired from his own business, Schultz Art Studio, Art Director of South Bend Toy a Milton Bradley subsidiary, and Commercial Art teacher at Ivy Tech. Now he paints mostly in oil and sells and displays his work at Indiana galleries to national buyers. Traveling is one of their hobbies along with gardening, painting, crafting, and spending many hours with their large family.
