Avoid this home

Floors were so dirty we couldn’t walk in our white socks, pool and spa heater was broken, dishwasher leaked, dryer vent was clogged, and it took Vacasa half our stay to fix our issues.

As Advertised

This was a great house, it was large and more than enough space for us. The Solterra resort amenities were fantastic. The reason it didn’t get 4/5 stars is: We had 4 adults and 4 young children and found the kitchen was fairly empty and cooking meals was difficult (ie. one sheet pan only). We paid for 7 days of pool heating and it took two days for the management company to turn on the pool heating, which was also disappointing. Some of the beds were squeaky/not perfect. At this price point we would have expected a bit more in terms of furnishings. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and think a bit of money to upgrade and add some things could go a long way in making the house more comfortable for guests.

Beware

The house was beautiful and looked exactly like the pictures. Unfortunately our family vacation was far from that. Upon arrival we noticed things were missing and broken. The grill was missing but all the tools were there for it, the dishwasher was broken, microwave handle was broken, bathroom light didn’t work, no batteries in the remotes, air turned off downstairs at night, lounge chair outside was missing a leg, and the projector was broken. I reached out to vacasa and the next day the property manager showed up. She gave us a nice song and dance and promised these issues would be fixed. The following day I woke up to a large size cockroach in my bedroom upstairs and let’s just say that was the beginning of the nightmare. My family spent 7 days killing cockroaches and trying to get help. I spoke with someone at vrbo sent them videos and pictures and she said this was considered a small issue and that they couldnt handle it, Vacasa would have to. Since when did cockroaches become normal?! The whole house was infested, especially under the refrigerator. They were crawling on my sons epilepsy medicine. Vacasa said they would send an exterminator which never happened nor was anything fixed in the house. The property manager refused to return our phone calls. It’s clear they don’t care and I wouldn’t want someone else to have the same vacation from hell that my family experienced.

Battle of the boom boxes till 2am in super close quarters is a bit ridiculous, unless you're a fan of gangster rap. Tough to get sleep, if you will be hitting the theme parks the following day.

Weekend Getaway w/ Family

Although the house was clean there were alot of issues that need to be addressed. First the gate staff's communication was not on the same page. Upon arriving Thursday we were suppose to receive gate passes for every car in our party. We asked several different times and finally received passes on Saturday evening, the day before our checkout. The microwave handle was broken when we got to the house. Vacasa was notified and very responsive. They said they would send someone out to fix but that never happened. We requested pool/spa heat after checking in, to which the policy is to request before, however for $108 they were willing to heat the pool spa. We were charged and than told 4hrs later, after we called back to check on it, that they do not heat pools from May-October. When requested at least the jacuzzi to be heated they said they'd put in a ticket, the jacuzzi remained cold during our stay. The remotes had no batteries, the can opener and knives were dull, the iron only had one setting, the couch upstairs needs to be repaired badly, and the comforters on the beds were like thick curtains. If the above issues were fixed the house would be five stars. But our stay was a 3, the house served its purpose for the weekend.

Overall good stay

House was as advertised. Only problem was checking in. There’s no office , you check in at the security gate. The line was 20 cars deep down a busy Highway. You had to make a left turn into the property and it made it very dangerous.

Spring Break Trip

Overall the house was clean and pretty much as advertised. We did have a few issues such as the ping pong table in the "game room" / single car garage was on it's side and broken & it was not clear to me that heating of the hot tub can only be done if you also pay to heat the pool. Also the projector screen upstairs did not fill the entire screen (about half of it) and it was not clear how to maximize the viewing size. Lastly we called Vacasa when we checked in to report some of these issues and they never called back. It was close to the Disney parks and the neighborhood pool was nice as it had a grill and bar in it.

What a great house

I loved that it had enough room for us and that it was so open. The beds were so comfortable. Everything was so clean. The only thing we had to do was add the heated pool.. hot tub was amazing.. had plenty of towels like I had asked. Needed to share the living room remote for one of the bedrooms, but no big deal.. also no top piece that holds the detergent in to the dishwasher , but again no big deal.. The bathrooms were so nice and the place was decorated tastefully. I would definitely come back and stay here..

Orange Escape

My family enjoyed this beautiful home. Very spacious rooms and they enjoyed the pool. My only complaint is that you need to inspect the home after your cleaning service has finished. They pack the leftover trash from the last tenant outside with no bags and food was everywhere. Not inviting to come to and finally my family bagged it so it would reduce the insects at the front door. The area is very nice and can believe how other peoples property is treated. Other than that I will return for a future visit.

Exceeded Expectations

We only stayed a short time, but we loved this property. It was very spacious, very clean and very comfortable! The only negative was that the pool was a bit small for our crew. Also the bunk beds were damaged beyond repair and quite dangerous. So we had to keep the kiddos from entering that room. But it would not stop us from returning!

Disney family place

Pools are facing and side by side. Pool noise bounces from one structure to another. Quiet hours are after 9pm but this did not happen. Inside is huge with lots of space and very quiet! Cleaning is fair (candy wrapper in garage, hair in shower, trash in outside garbage box).

Awesome get-away

Very nicely decorated and clean. My family enjoyed our little vacation. There were a few minor maintenance issues....a leaky toilet upstairs, broken toilet flush handle downstairs and broken bunk bed ladder which did not affect our stay much! We had a great time and would definitely book this house in the future!

Very difficult contacting for info.. Garbage not picked up..took 3 times ourselves..broken ladder should have been mentioned..child had to climb up bed ends.. *three out food..was frozen in refrigerator side.. *neighbors noisy till midnight and after..one night till 2.30am *extra fee for grill..never had that before. *pictures decieving on pool area size *garbage disposal..no safety rubber piece *broken glass on oven door *could use more kitchen towels, pot holders baking items, *beds were comfortable *ice maker was unuarsable..was stuffed with frozen beer bottles and water bottles stuck on there.. *NOT sure if I would use VRBO again *will call to mention these items ext week and see about a small refund due to dome items, especially loss of food due to frozen items in fridge.. We enjoyed our family time but not really pleased with VRBO service.. Vera Pressimone

Beautiful property with lots of space

Rented this property to celebrate my dad's 70th birthday with the family. Property was clean, well stocked and convenient. Property management was very responsive when I made requests to change the pool temperature. They sent someone out the same day. The number of bedrooms and bathrooms were perfect for our large family. I would highly recommend staying at this property.

Nice but not so clean

The house was very nice and really easy to find. The community pool was nice but really busy. The furniture was nice and comfy. Overall a really nice place to stay. There were a few problems though. When we walked in, the kitchen and dining room floor was really sticky. We cleaned it with a swiffer mop and it was extremely dirty. After the first day, we couldn't use our pool because it was green and slimy. We also found a massive amount of weave in it. My kids kept coming out of the water with it in their hair and mouth. Was really disgusting... We couldn't use our pool for about 4 days and I think we deserve a partial refund honestly. Specially when you charge so much to use the pool heater and the grill. We will see if someone contacts us concerning this.
