Ocean front vacation unit with a great view

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed in unit 414 for seven nights. It was an ocean front vacation unit with a great view! The view of the beach from the 4th floor balcony was exceptional. There were waves every day which we could hear in the unit when we left the door open just a bit. The king size bed was comfortable. The pillows were thin, so we also used pillows designated for the sofa sleeper as well as ones on the bed. The unit was clean. Housekeeping would bring fresh towels each day if requested. We did not hear traffic from the road. The pool was nice and clean. However, the pool closes before dark due to units in close proximity. You will not be able to experience a night swim in the pool. We had fun during our stay and look forward to returning for a future visit.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The unit is very small. It’s suitable for a couple not a family. The couch and chair were dirty and definitely need replaced. The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen and bathroom were fine. We couldn’t get the bedroom tv to stay connected to the internet. The view is amazing from the balcony!! The maintenance personnel were very helpful and friendly.

Pleasant Stay, Beautiful View, but a Little Dated

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We really love Beacher's Lodge and have returned each year around my birthday to stay for an extended weekend. The past few times we booked through AirBnb, but decided to book directly through Beacher's Lodge this time around. As always, our room's view was absolutely beautiful and our stay was peaceful and relaxing. The bed and sheets were also a dream and we both slept well.However, the condo was a little dated overall -- the couch was small and uncomfortable and the dresser in the bedroom was really beat up. Also, despite the rule of guests washing all dishes before leaving, we definitely needed to wash a few of the pans before using them. In fact, there was a pair of kitchen scissors we rescued from being completely glued shut by food debris by soaking in warm water and soap and cleaning thoroughly.

Nice Stay

PROS: Loved the view. Condo was just the right size, elevator was convenient. Bed was comfortable. Condo was mostly quiet from outside noise. Technology was adequate. Location was good. Linen was all good. Cons: Could have used better communication on check in process. AC units were hit or miss on working (running). Luckily it was cool outside, because they would not consistently run. Side note: there were pendant lights in the kitchen we could not get to turn on. Didn't need them, but it was quite the mystery.

I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I was very disappointed. I have stayed there several times. I was not told that construction was going on prior to my booking. I should not have been given a room that was on the far end where that elevator was not working. The smell of Apoxy was overwhelming. When I came back to the room after going out for dinner, the only working elevator had broken down and maintenance had to be called. Then I was leaving to go home the next morning, and the ramp was closed off!! I had to ask a worker to help me down the steps with my luggage!! I feel I should be compensated in some way after this chaotic experience. PS. I had a guest that was a potential buyer of one of the units. Not a very good experience for her. I am a senior single woman and wish my visit had been different. Sofa in the unit could be updated is the only comment about room 412. Ms. Terry Shelley

We Loved It

This a great gem of a location. We absolutely loved this place. All amenities were in place and as described. It was clean and ready for our visit. From sunrise to star gazing, we will definitely book again and again. Five Stars in opinion. Thank you Shannon for the awesome experience

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: While the property was great and kept up, and in a great location, our condo was pretty disappointing. To start off we had a huge ant problem (on the 4th floor) and all of the pricey snacks we bought downtown at the shops had to be thrown away, along with a majority of our groceries. There was no water pressure in the shower or the sinks, and the toilet never stopped running - even after maintenance was out to fix it. (It stayed fixed all of 3-4 hours). The screen door on the patio was broken, along with the screen to the bedroom window, so we couldn’t open the door or windows, and also the balcony door was rusted and did not lock. I’m not a high maintenance person, I understand nothing can be perfect, but these are basic things that shouldn’t be an issue. Especially the ants. This used to be my favorite vacation condo (visited yearly) but I think this will be my last time staying here.

Unit 414

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Decent. Great view. Bed had not been changed since last guest and just had coverlet pulled up. Sheets were wrinkled and pushed down. Bed and pillows smelled slept in not fresh. Got them changed the next day. Called to get safe to work days in a row with no response. Did not bother to report non working plug in on right side of couch or light bulbs out above kitchen as there was nothing done about the safe after I was told each time they would be 'right there'3 times. Bathroom is small so could not help seeing dirt just mopped up to and under threshold not actually cleaned up. Great view. Extremely nice staff. Building is old but could be cleaner. Maybe get the owners to touch up paint along baseboard as you stare right at it from the couch. Had roaches and ants in unit. Heard this from other guests also. Possibly time for an exterminator. Floppy flat miserable pillows. Toilet never stops running and was noted by previous guest in log book. Owners have more than one unit at BL so maybe they could use some of the rent money to improve their property. Room 416 is much much better. Will look for better room next time and yes I will be back.
