Liten Rustik Stuga med Trädgård

Denna trästuga byggdes 1914. Det var ett av de första husen som byggdes på kullen ovanför Stinson Beach. Det är enväggskonstruktion (vilket betyder, inte isolerat) men har god tvångsluftvärme och en fristående spis.
Det finns två rum. Ett sovrum med en queen size-säng och det andra rummet ett öppet kök, matsal och vardagsrum. Hela huset är ganska litet men har en rymlig känsla. Det är en mysig plats med bekväma möbler. Perfekt för två personer.

Nära Bolinas lagun, ett fågelskådningsparadis. Området är känt för sin naturliga skönhet. Staden Stinson är mycket liten. Den har en mataffär, en bokhandel, en surfbutik som hyr surfbrädor och våtdräkter, en kajakuthyrningsverksamhet. och det finns några butiker, ett galleri, tre restaureringar och ett bibliotek. Observera att det inte finns några bensinstationer på tio mil, så se till att fylla innan du kommer över kullen.

An exceptional vacation rental on the hill over Stinson Beach. A charming, well-appointed, easy to use, comfortable cottage that was perfect for our vacation: beach visits morning and afternoon, relaxing, or hiking on Mt. Tam. We hope to return one day, just a great home to enjoy while on holiday.

Nice place with a few not-so-great parts

Pros: It was nice, cute and beachy. Definitely rustic. Lots of interesting art and sculptures as decor. Easy walk to a one of the best hiking trails I’ve been on, very short drive to the beach. The hot tub was very hot. The owner was next door and she brought us a baking sheet when we couldn’t find one in the cottage.Cons: the comforter was stained. The oven was a little scary, and we were uncertain if it would actually go off, but it eventually did. The owner. In bringing us the baking sheet, she came over, and used the opportunity to ask if we could leave early the next day. Fortunately for her, we’re early risers and ended up leaving early anyway, but being pressured to like that face-to-face was awkward, and kinda rude. She came inside, uninvited, and tried to show us the light switches, completely unnecessarily, and seemed to want to chat a lot. We don’t. Her visit was easily the worst part of the trip.

Amazing little cottage walking distance to the beach. We loved the art, the garden, the hot tub and also, being so close to the Stinson beach market came in clutch when I needed some essentials that I forgot to pack. Though it is walking distance, I must mention that it can be a challenging walk uphill to the house if carrying things or have elderly or children walking.

Utterly magical in every way

I am so in love with this house! Everything about it is picture perfect, styled with a very gifted artist’s eye, full of charm, character and soul. There is so much heart in this home, both inside and out, and it was a gift just to be able to spend a few days there. Hot tub was magical and so, so hot, and the walk to town gave me a view of a part of Stinson I’d never explored. I can’t wait to come back again someday!

Romantic getaway

Such a beautiful cottage with all of the needed amenities. Quaint and quiet, close to market & restaurants. Awesome outdoor space with hot tub, fully equipped kitchen with lots of light! We thoroughly enjoyed every moment!

Great Weekend Getaway

My girlfriend and I loved staying here. Location is perfect and just close enough to the downtown strip but far enough away to be secluded… and connects right into the trails around the area. Tess was an incredible host and made checking in and out a breeze. Would definitely recommend this spot to a small group looking for a small town coastal getaway,

perfect getaway

Tess's cottage is truly lovely in every way: enough space for two people, with a gorgeous yard and hot tub. The interior is cozy and covered in art, which makes it feel so homey and lived in (in a great way). Five minutes to the beach by foot, and to hikes just up the street. I can't wait to come back!

Spacious cabin with lovely feline visitors

Wonderful retreat amid art & nature

We loved the place, location, host, everything! We were looking for a place that had access to the Pacific Ocean and trails on Mount Tam. This fit the bill and exceeded our needs. We enjoyed our time at the cottage as much as our time outdoors because it was like living inside of a piece of art. We are both artists and have little treasures tucked around our home too, so getting to enjoy a different artist’s home like this was wonderful. I’m hoping next time we stay it’s not been rainy before we arrive so that I can sleep in the outdoor bed. I did that growing up in California and would very much love to do that at this cottage next time. Loved stargazing from the hot tub and starting each day having coffee or a walk in the garden like I do at home. We also loved that we could just walk down the hill to go for sunset at the beach and then dinner in the tiny little town. We also could get groceries on our way walking back up the hill. Favorite vacation in a long time.

Artists Cottage

Enjoyed the stay with a friend... the cottage is so quaint, with interesting art and other touches that make the stay unique, and the garden area is beautiful. It is a short walk down the hill to the town of Stinson and wonderful Stinson beach. Tess was very communicative and helpful and we appreciate her sharing her place with us!
