Om boendet

Denna trästuga byggdes 1914. Det var ett av de första husen som byggdes på kullen ovanför Stinson Beach. Det är enväggskonstruktion (vilket betyder, inte isolerat) men har god tvångsluftvärme och en fristående spis.
Det finns två rum. Ett sovrum med en queen size-säng och det andra rummet ett öppet kök, matsal och vardagsrum. Hela huset är ganska litet men har en rymlig känsla. Det är en mysig plats med bekväma möbler. Perfekt för två personer.

Nära Bolinas lagun, ett fågelskådningsparadis. Området är känt för sin naturliga skönhet. Staden Stinson är mycket liten. Den har en mataffär, en bokhandel, en surfbutik som hyr surfbrädor och våtdräkter, en kajakuthyrningsverksamhet. och det finns några butiker, ett galleri, tre restaureringar och ett bibliotek. Observera att det inte finns några bensinstationer på tio mil, så se till att fylla innan du kommer över kullen.

perfect getaway

Tess's cottage is truly lovely in every way: enough space for two people, with a gorgeous yard and hot tub. The interior is cozy and covered in art, which makes it feel so homey and lived in (in a great way). Five minutes to the beach by foot, and to hikes just up the street. I can't wait to come back!

Stinson get-away treat

Beautifully decorated, sweet Stinson home with a hot tub that is at the perfect temperature. Easy to walk down to the beach. Highly recommend.

Spacious cabin with lovely feline visitors

Has a great time in the cabin and the Stinson Beach and Bolinas area. Wonderful hot tub and wood stove for chilly evenings, comfortable bed, well stocked kitchen.

Wonderful retreat amid art & nature

We loved the place, location, host, everything! We were looking for a place that had access to the Pacific Ocean and trails on Mount Tam. This fit the bill and exceeded our needs. We enjoyed our time at the cottage as much as our time outdoors because it was like living inside of a piece of art. We are both artists and have little treasures tucked around our home too, so getting to enjoy a different artist’s home like this was wonderful. I’m hoping next time we stay it’s not been rainy before we arrive so that I can sleep in the outdoor bed. I did that growing up in California and would very much love to do that at this cottage next time. Loved stargazing from the hot tub and starting each day having coffee or a walk in the garden like I do at home. We also loved that we could just walk down the hill to go for sunset at the beach and then dinner in the tiny little town. We also could get groceries on our way walking back up the hill. Favorite vacation in a long time.

Artists Cottage

Enjoyed the stay with a friend... the cottage is so quaint, with interesting art and other touches that make the stay unique, and the garden area is beautiful. It is a short walk down the hill to the town of Stinson and wonderful Stinson beach. Tess was very communicative and helpful and we appreciate her sharing her place with us!

Artist Sanctuary

Our family throughly enjoyed our stay at Tess and Sean’s property. They are both warm and inviting individuals. The home had everything we needed and much more. Sweet artistic cottage in Stinson beach

This was our second stay at the cottage and we enjoyed it again. It is very comfortable and well appointed with an artist’s decor. The walk to Stinson is easy (though a hill) and we took many walks. It is a very peaceful place to stay and unwind. We loved it.

Comfortable Artistic Retreat

The property was beautiful and artistically decorated. We really appreciated that the home maintains it 1914 roots, but very comfortable and had everything we needed. Tess is a gracious hostess with interesting historic knowledge of the area as her family has a long history in Stinson. The art kept us talking and continually discovering new details. Everything was perfect and first time not staying directly on the beach, but we didn’t miss the wind and cold that comes with that. The garden was stunning and the bonus was Emma and Oliver. Short walk to beach and restaurants. Hope to come back soon.

Perfect little cottage

We loved everyone about our stay. The house is beautifully decorated, the town and area is naturally beautiful and quirky. Tess was a sweet host and easily reached if needed. The hot tub is perfect as that fog rolls in. Honestly didn’t want to review because we want to keep it a secret.

Beautiful garden cottage

We found this light-filled cottage with its lovely courtyard garden and hot tub a relaxing and enchantung retreat. Great access to beach and trails and a convenient hub for jaunts into the city or up to Napa/Sonoma so long as you are good with driving the winding mountain roads.

Beautiful and quiet

I had such a lovely stay at Tess’ cottage, easily my favorite stay anywhere. Just a short walk down to town (5-7 min), and the most beautiful garden and peaceful setting inside and outside of the cottage. The decor, furnishings and especially the bed were amazing! I had everything I needed. My daughters were staying nearby and we read and cooked meals at the cottage and had a wonderful time.
