RushBrook Lodge ligger i foten av Catskill-bergen, och Àr ett renoverat lantbruk byggt 1825 pÄ ett hundra tunnland skogsmark. Det var ett populÀrt semesterskapshus pÄ 1940-, 50- och 60-talet dÀr familjer skulle tillbringa sin semester varje Är. Inspirerad av den fridfulla rekreation som detta förde till sÄ mÄnga, har vi uppfunnit det för en ny generation av naturÀlskare.

Stugan har anpassats till ett tvĂ„familjshus som kommer att tillfredsstĂ€lla din nostalgi under en lĂ„ngsammare tid. Varje sida Àr utrustad med alla bekvÀmligheter du behöver nÀr du Àr borta. BÄda har tvÄ drottning sovrum och tvÄ nyrenoverade badrum med lyxig Calacatta marmor. Det finns totalt 4 drottning sovrum och 4 fulla badrum och gott om utrymme att umgÄs med familj och vÀnner eller att stjÀla bort pÄ egen hand.

The Creek Side - A har ett vintagekök och vardagsrummet har en öppen spis och tallplÀter som malts frÄn vÄra skogar för decennier sedan. Möblerna ger en nick till lantgÄrden det var - en charmig blandning av dÄ och dÄ. Det finns ett familjerum och ett kontor med smarta TV-apparater. De tvÄ drottningens sovrum har en angrÀnsande dörr som kan lÄsas frÄn varje sida.

Meadow Side - B har lite mer utrymme. Det finns ett högre tak i vardagsrummet som Àr dekorerat med antik stuga och Eastlake-bitar. Vintage-köket, matsalen och hemmabio med stor skÀrm utgör det stora rummet.

FrÄn verandan kan du se vÄr pittoreska röda ladugÄrd över den lugna landsbanan. Det finns en stenbalkong som Àr en underbar plats att titta pÄ Plattekill Creek rusa förbi. Utanför Àr 100 tunnland med en mil lÄng spÄr.

Wonderful house, surroundings, and hosts

Having stayed at several Catskills properties in the past, we had fairly high expectations, but they were easily exceeded. The house, property, and hosts were magnificent. The house was impeccably clean, well-stocked, and comfortable. The grounds were amazing. A hundred acres to explore! (Many winnie-the-pooh jokes were made.) And the hosts were kind, prompt, and helpful. Jolene answered all my questions and made us feel completely at home.

This is a hidden gem! The property is beautiful and so warm and accommodating. The house was immaculate, the bathrooms are renovated and very clean. The rooms are all really nice. They did a great job restoring this property,really paying attention to detail, and it really shows! Definitely would go back!!

A wonderful month

My family of 5 adults, 3’children, and 2 dogs spent a month at The Lodge and we were disappointed only in that we couldn’t stay longer. The Lodge is comfortable and welcoming in every way, with charming decorations and furnishings. Everything that anyone could want was provided. Jolene and Gary were wonderfully attentive and responsive and we loved getting to know them. We all felt calm, nourished, and more at peace in this lovely old house than we have felt for some time, and the long, lazy hours on the comfy porch were no small part of that. What a terrific experience- many thanks!

Special place

We stayed at Jolene’s wonderful home for several weeks in the spring of 2020. We chose it for the bucolic location and the enormous forested land that is completely unique for a rental property (100+ acres). Although there were only 3 of us, we rented both sides of the house for privacy. The house itself is wonderfully old and filled with character. It’s clean and recently remodeled but they didn’t take away any of the historic charm of the old lodge. The house was amazingly well appointed for guests. Very comfortable beds, good sheets, pillows and throws. Food in the fridge and pantry well beyond the normal salt and condiments. The generosity of the appointments gives you an early hint of the generosity of spirit of the owner, who is a genuinely wonderful person. Beyond the home itself, the property is amazing. A mile of wooded trail from end to end, filled with streams, waterfalls, bogs, deep forest; everything you would want in a Catskills mountain environment. I would go for multiple hour adventures with my son in the woods and never leave the property. And rarely hear a sound beyond nature. The location is private but has really easy access to both Saugerties and Woodstock. There are good grocery options nearby, and if it wasn’t for the quarantine, there were plenty of good looking restaurants as well. You are also close to many hiking trails and mountains for summer or winter fun. The nearby roads allow great running and biking options to stay fit for an extended stay. Finally, the attentiveness and service from Jolene were outstanding. She was always ready and eager to help whenever we needed anything. Ps - just as a reminder, this is an old quirky house. You may bump your head on lower ceilings. It’s set up in the traditional style with smaller rooms. But this is all part of the charm. It’s not a new, sleek construction and I love it for that.
