The Spotted Grouper - Old Florida Beach Bungalow

The Spotted Grouper är en härlig gammal strandbungalow i Florida omgiven av vridna Sand Live Oaks. Vi ligger på Bald Point bredvid Alligator Point, FL i ett litet, lugnt strandområde längs den glömda kusten, omgiven av Bald Point State Park.
Huset ligger 100 meter från viken - för att komma dit bara gå ner Grouper Street till vattnet - det finns inga gator att korsa. Det är en mycket avskild naturstrand med mycket havsliv där du kan njuta av all naturens skönhet. Du har utsikt över bukten från vardagsrummet såväl som verandan och uteplatsen och ljudet från havet kan få dig att sova på natten. Fiske är fantastiskt, liksom de lokala restaurangerna och fiskmarknaderna. Huset ligger på marknivå så att du inte har trappor att klättra vilket gör det väldigt bekvämt att bära resväskor och matvaror in i hemmet. Det rymmer 4 med 1 dubbelsäng och 1 dubbelsäng.
Vi är 45 mil söder om Tallahassee, 340 miles rakt söder om Atlanta. The Spotted Grouper är en perfekt tillflyktsort om du gillar ett lugnt område som INTE har en fullsatt strand med gott natur och natur som påminner om "Gamla Florida".

Grandbabies beach trips.

First trip for the grandbabies. The beach was close and no one else was on the beach except us. The house was cozy and had everything we needed. Owner responded quickly with any questions i had. Very nice stay.

Secluded beachfront oasis

This place is truly magical! You can hear the waves crashing on the shore from the porch and an unspoiled, secluded beach is just a few steps away. Clean and fully stocked, Sheree’s place is phenomenal. We can’t wait to come back!

Perfect Hideaway

If you are looking for a secluded and quiet environment but with the charm of old Florida, this is your place. All the amenities you want are on site and it’s a close enough drive to other interests and activities. We loved it.

Quiet, cozy, relaxing!

The booking and check in process was very easy. The host is so kind and helpful. This place had everything you need, was quiet and comfortable! It’s just a short walk to the water down the driveway. We visited nearby St. George Island and Wakulla Springs- both were beautiful! I wish the beach at the house was a little bigger (more sand area) and the water was clearer but both completely unrelated to the actual house, which was perfect for our family. Thank you for sharing your place!

Clean, cute bungalow!

Great location and wonderful for just the two of us! My only complaint is that the a.c. wouldn't get it any cooler than 77 degrees! No matter what I set it at .. since it was fairly hot all week we would have liked a place to cool off but we just stayed outside almost the entire time anyways. Wonderful rental for the price! Fully stocked with anything you might need.

Spotted Grouper on Forgotten Coast

My wife and I stayed at this cozy beach bungalow and although the weather was not ideal the house-property was simply outstanding! We could tell immediately that the owner cared about attention to details and cleanliness. Sherry was very professional and responsive. Forgotten Coast Beauty

This is the 3rd time we have stayed at the Spotted Grouper. It never disappoints . We absolutely adore this place every time we visit. If you are looking for peace, tranquility , and the beauty of nature surrounding you then book this place. This truly is a hidden treasure on the forgotten coast. You are almost always the only ones on the beach. The wildlife is stunning. Our favorites are around 7PM when the sandbars start to form & you can walkout & collect all sorts of treasures. To Do: 1) Watch sunrise 2) Relax 3) Rest 4) Watch sunset 5) Repeat 1-4 daily Sheree is amazing to work with. Thank you for sharing your treasure with us! We will definitely be back again.

Relaxing Getaway!

This was exactly what our family needed for our Fall Break! My husband and I are both teachers and we traveled with our daughter who also works at a school and our middle school son. We all needed to get away from the hectic school during pandemic routine! The Spotted Grouper was perfect! We had plenty to do without being around crowds! Beach walks and shelling were just down the driveway. We explored Bald Point State Park (on foot, by bike and by car), St. Mark’s Wildlife Refuge at Otter Lake (gorgeous), and Mashes Sands. We even drove to St. George Island and enjoyed a beach day swimming in the clear water and playing on the uncrowded beach at Dr. Julian G. Bruce Sate Park. The retro house was so simple yet had everything we needed. I loved the vintage cast iron sink and the pine floors. Cleanup was a breeze! Sheree was very responsive to our questions and has added so many little thoughtful details! We have visited various locations in Florida and this is a new favorite!

The retro/beach themes of the house were cool. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. Loved the screened in porch. Tides affected beach access at the end of the street, but there are other public beach access available.

Paradise

This was our second trip to The Spotted Grouper and we booked for next year while we were still there. This cottage has all you need in amenities and is just steps from a quiet secluded beach. It will always be my first choice.

Great getaway!

Cute, quaint cottage a short walk to the beach. We had a wonderful time. Rental was well equipped. Owner very attentive. The AC went out at 7pm, called the owner and she had a repairman there within the hour. Hope to visit again soon!

Everything and more!

The Spotted Grouper provided the perfect get away! The bungalow is spotlessly clean, has everthing one could possibly need to feel at home, well positioned in a quiet friendly neighborhood, and located in and near a nature preserve area. We highly recommend staying here. We explored the natural areas, including the gulf in a 16' canoe. So much wildlife to enjoy. Fishing, bird watching, cooking and enjoying each others company filled our days. Never turned on the tv or radio. A total escape from the rat race! We enjoyed the outdoor shower, grilled on the Weber, and relaxed in the screen porch. We hope to return next year. Sheree, the owner, was wonderful to work with. She was so kind and helpful. She even gave us fishing bait suggestions.

Perfect Weekend

Clean, cute, and close to the beach! Good restaurants if you don’t want to cook. Enough space for all of us and a tv in every room which we hardly turned on until nighttime. Would reccomend
