Gratis kajakpaddling med 2 vildmarkkajaker (Commander & Tarpon). Bald Point State Park och vita sand offentliga stränder är tre miles away. En golfbana top notch (St. James Bay) är femton minuters bilresa bort.

Month reset

This was our 3rd year at the cottage. Our month long stay was not enough. Mornings on the golf course and afternoons fishing on the dock. Beautiful scenery in the bay. Birds and animals to watch. Yes the white squirrel was there and even saw the bear. Perfect!

Absolutely Perfect

Perfect in every way. This is the cutest cottage. We had everything we needed and then some! Exactly as listed! Beds were comfortable, plenty of space, kitchen had everything, and Joe is the nicest host I've ever had at a rental. We caught fish, loved the dock and enjoyed the screened back porch every evening. We WILL be back very soon.

Spring Break Alternative

This place fits our style very well which is slow-paced and outdoor-based. We fished, hiked, bird-watched, walked the public beach and just relaxed. If you are interested in the typical Spring Break scene, then this is not your place.

Awesome Stay

The description of the place was accurate. Having water access was great. Big area to paddle kayaks around. Stunning view of the bay from house. Local beach was nice and remote.

Great get away

What a great stay. Unfortunately the hurricane ran us off early but the time we were there was fantastic. Joe the owner is a stand up guy. We will be back. Love the location and privacy. Good fishing and wildlife. Incredible updates to the house. Everything we wanted.

Wonderful place!

If you like the outdoors, and being secluded this is the place! Very nice house and a very fun place to stay. If you like to fish I myself caught 4 slot reds, a massive probably 45” red, and quite a few trout and a triple tail off the dock! Me and my wife enjoyed the place and Joe is a grate host if you have any kind of problem at all he’s on it immediately! I will be back shortly!!

Restful, Comfortable, Peaceful, and Beautiful

Redfish Cottage is the ideal getaway any time of the year, but especially over the holidays. The cottage is comfortable and quiet. The pier is the perfect site for birdwatching, coffee drinking, paddleboarding, canoeing. We love the convenient location and look forward to our next trip.

Redfish Cottage

We had a great time. Even caught a redfish off the dock. Saw rays, blue crab, alligators, bears and an allbino squirrell. My only issue was the standing water in the back yard that you had to walk through to get to the dock. Maybe it was due to the storm that passed a few days before, but if it is permanent, I would suggest putting something there to make it easier to go to the great dock. Thank you for everything!

Great little cabin!

We've stayed here multiple times and love all the new updates made since our last visit. The host is great at communicating and we appreciate his attention to detail. (Thanks, Joe!!) He also allows dogs which is a definite plus for us. If you're visiting Alligator Point, this is the place to stay!

Perfect Getaway--Feels Like Home

My husband and I have been coming to Alligator Point and staying at Redfish Cottage for over a decade. Each time we drive down Alligator Point Dr, it feels like we're coming home. Redfish is the perfect size, it's bright and cheery, and the pier is the best place for sunsets, birdwatching, fishing, SUP'ing, and just hanging out to relax. I got home last night and can't wait to go back.

Second time

Wonderful cottage for those who favor a remote location. No putt putts nearby. No nightlife, unless you prefer seeing every star in the sky. Great fishing right behind the place. We loved it!

peacefull, remote, wild, great fishing

Monday night dined on big fat meaty sweet blue crabs (5) and blackened fish (2) caught right off the dock. It was great. Tuesday had to evacuate ahead of Michael. I hope the cottage survived, love this place. Hope the resident bear survived to, adds some wilderness charm to the place, and runs away when you yell (we yell every time we open the door just to be sure).

A Welcome Respite

This is our second time at Redfish Cottage. We were impressed by the remodeling. Great job! We love the peacefulness of the location. Easily the most rest and relaxation we have had in years. The wildlife is spectacular. I cannot even count the species of birds we saw. So many deer. And we even saw the white squirrels several times. We had success crabbing and catching redfish. Even managed some beach time at Bald Point, and at Carrabelle beach with our furry friend. A wonderful experience.
