What a great view! Even though we were there in January, we could still see the beautiful sunset go down into the ocean. It was very peaceful - the bedroom is on the ocean side, so all we could hear was the ocean! It has all the amenities, and easy in and out of the driveway onto a state highway. Would definitely stay here again.

Perfect rustic cottage by the sea

Rustic cottage at its finest. Great getaway for a couple. All amenities were thought of and the space is simple and wonderfully decorated. Hot tub, fireplace and lots of charm. Beautiful scenic view overlooking Pacific beach. Only a 5 min drive for a walk on the beach. Close to Seabrook Village for quaint shopping and grocery needs. We look forward to staying again in the future.

Lovely beach home

The home has a beautiful ocean view and a perfect patio for watching the sunset over the water. It is delightfully decorated, comfortable, and the kitchen is well equipped. I will happily book this home in the future!

Ocean View

Quiet little town on a beautiful ocean shore! Property was charming. We enjoyed sipping our coffee on the ocean view deck in the morning and sipping our beer in the evening. The way the nearness to the ocean affects the weather, this was a totally unique experience. Take the stunning Moclips highway just North of town up to the Olympic Park Quinault ranger station for an unforgettable experience!

Perfect getaway for us

This our third annual stay at Sunset Beach Getaway and while there we booked another for next year. We appreciate that the previous and new owners are keen on updating appliances and amenities. The feeling is quaint and has a very bright and cheery beach cabin atmosphere. Just crack the West windows open a bit and the surf sounds fill the rooms. We love the private and intimate setting. The view is awesome. The elevated position allows for incredible sunset views (there is also a great view of sunrises). It is always very clean and fresh and when I had a question about the door lock the manager responded quickly and was very helpful.

Sweet little cottage

We enjoyed our stay. The cottage has a bright beach aesthetic and is clean and cozy. My only feedback would be that adding outdoor lighting and making sure doors and windows are secure would be helpful. I arrived late with my two young children. It was pitch black outside which made it hard to find and get inside. Also when we arrived a couple of doors were unlocked and windows unlatched which wasn't a huge deal, but I was traveling alone with my little ones and would have felt a little more secure if everything was locked.

Fantastic Getaway!

Everything about this little cottage by the sea was fantastic. My only complaint is that we couldn't find sheets for the pull-out bed. They were not located where the listed stated and we couldn't find them anywhere else. That being said, we WILL be returning to this exact cottage.

Cozy getaway close to public beaches

Well appointed kitchen, sweet cottage perfect big wonderful deck with fantastic ocean view. A bit more attention to cleanliness of floor/ rugs and replacing batteries in TV remote and heating/ cooling thermostat would make this 5 stars.

Cutest bungalow ever!

I loved this place! Decor was gorgeous and loved the beach view. Well stocked with kitchen utensils and dishes for our 3 day stay. Couldn’t find the gas grill and had no way I could find of communicating with the property owner. But we found the best town a few miles down the road with spots to eat so we didn’t need it. If I’m ever in this area again I’ll definitely stay here!

Nice and quiet

The cottage was clean and had a nice view of the ocean. It would have been nice if you could walk out to the ocean through the gate but the drop off was a bit much. The claw foot tub is adorable but dangerous to climb in and out of, especially if the tub was wet. It is quite slippery.

Minor repairs still need to be made.

The home was very comfortable. There were a few minor issues, no working outlets in the bathroom. Very sensitive smoke detectors, could not make any breakfast without smoke detectors going off and unable to shut off. Breakers blew when microwave was plugged in, no curtains or blinds on bedroom door for privacy. Other than that everything was good. Yes, we will be staying another time.

Do NOT stay here. Amenities are not as described. Local operations manager promises to address ...

Arrived at home and immediately notified the local Vacasa operations manager that there was no gas grill (advertised), and the coffee machine was a Keurig, but the provided coffee packets were for drip coffee. In addition, I advised the Vacasa manager that a MOUSE ran across the garage right in front of me while I was searching for the gas grill. Agent promised compensation for the missing grill, as well as to send Keurig pods. Despite my repeated inquiries during our 2-night stay, we received NEITHER (no coffee nor promised compensation). Travelers - stay elsewhere. Home Owners - you're paying good money for lousy service.

Ants!!

The check in process and initial cleanliness of the rental were fine. Right away though, we noticed small black ants throughout the house. The kitchen and living room were the worst, but really the ants were everywhere. The ant situation ultimately erased any positives that we could have experienced with the property. Our kids where probably the most bothered by the ants, but I think my biggest beef is that the ants ended up in our things ( suitcases and personal items). So they ended up in our car:( I hope you will make it right because the ants ruined our stay. We had read previous reviews that mentioned the ants, but we naively assumed that management would exterminate the ants before continuing to rent the property.

Great spot - not great communication from vacasa

The house is really lovely, bed was comfortable, yard and view are amazing. The waves are SO loud from the house, it's very cool. Also - just a quick trip to downtown seabrook. Some negatives: - Fuse had blown in multiple rooms before we arrived, so the living room lights, kitchen lights and tv were not functioning. We were able to locate the fuse box and fix it ourselves, but never heard back from the property manager/vacasa when we reached out about this problem - The kitchen sink didn't work. We had to wash dishes in the bathroom sink or not wash them at all. Unclear if the dishwasher was effected. I reached out to the property manager/vacasa on both these issues within an hour of checkin. I heard ZERO reply. Still haven't heard anything. We are pretty easy going and were able to make due but the lack of communication was concerning. Also - it worried me how the cleaning crew was able to clean the house without a functioning kitchen faucet. That would limit things I would assume.

Cute cottage/better next time?

We loved the cottage although it left a few things to be desired. On our first night, we ended up sleeping on the sofa in the living room because the smoke detector in the bedroom kept screeching, even after we removed the battery. Someone from maintenance came the next morning and replaced the battery but it continued to beep so we disconnected it. Then others started beeping so we disconnected all of them. I guess it was the weekend the batteries were due to be replaced. On the day we arrived, the entire yard was overgrown and covered in weeds, we had to ask when it could be mowed. Thankfully, someone came and did it the next morning while we were out. Some things this place lacks…. A pizza cutter, barbecue tools, briquettes and starter fluid for the bbq, a curtain or blinds over the exterior French door in the bedroom. The drains in both sinks and bathtubs were slow/clogged and the tub stopper didn’t fully work. I had to keep the water running while I had a bath to keep it full enough. And the ants in the kitchen were rather disturbing. With all of that said, we’d still consider booking it again as long as some of those issues were addressed and fixed. We enjoyed the character of the home, the storage space, the view from the deck, and the proximity to drive-to beaches, small shops and Seabrook. And we did receive partial reimbursement for our sleepless first night.
