Tree Top Beauty

There are many reasons my husband and I chose to return to Spyglass, but the one I see when I close my eyes, is the view out the windows—tree tops everywhere we look, all sides of the living room. When the sun comes out, we can also see the sparkling water in the distance. But deep joy in staying at the Spyglass is enjoying the beauty of the redwoods.

Beautiful Home

Usually when you go into a rental home, you find it is not as beautiful as the pictures depict it. This house is the opposite: lovely, high quality fixtures, beautiful treasures, well-stocked kitchen, and a gorgeous location.

A very comfy home that has all the amenities to make your stay comfortable.

We loved the kitchen because we cooked our own Meals. The home is spacious and filled with all the comforts of home. Truly, you can tell the owners are lovely people. The location is on the very south end and we were nestled in a group of redwoods. We saw deer and enjoyed the peace and sound of birds. The king size bed was comfortable and the shower was fantastic. We would stay here again.

Love this place!!

Loved everything about this place. The home is beautiful and the views are stunning. Wake up surrounded by redwoods with views of the ocean through the trees. Amazing hiking trails and gorgeous beaches. The sunsets here are one of a kind. The jetted tub was so welcomed after a long day of hiking. I can’t wait to come back here!

Spyglass

This home is situated within the trees, being inside and looking out gives you the feeling that you are in a tree house. The back deck is covered by the midday sun and the home blocks the prevailing west wind and overlooks a wooded creek ravine. Very tranquil.

This house was amazing for a quick weekend trip up to Sea Ranch. Super close to Sea Ranch Lodge and Black Point Beach. The house itself has a really unique layout with the main room being on the second floor. Even when sitting inside, it feels like you're in the middle of a redwood forest and has a view out to the ocean in the distance. I'd stay here again

A delightful stay

We loved being nestled in the woods, but so close to the ocean at the same time. This is a delightful place to stay for 2 couples (and a dog), or a small family. The spa bathtub was especially nice. As was the heating system. We wouldn't think twice about re-booking this lovely home.

Weekend by the Coast

I’m enchanted by the Sea Ranch community. What a beautiful area. It’s breathtaking to wake up to the tall redwoods and glimpse of the ocean. The house is clean, modern with all the amenities. The kitchen is nicely stocked with pots, spices and utensils. Beds are super comfortable. The best thing is you get pass to the community pools, basketball and tennis courts. I would definitely be back for another visit.

Very nice house with a few stairs!

seems like a decorator outfitted this house. It's not your typical throw-together. Very nice appointments everywhere and very clean. It is in the forest so no beach views but very quiet. Nice decks. Get ready to hike a few flights of stairs. Hot tube in master bedroom is a nice feature.

Spyglass View

The Spyglass View house has a wonderful setting in the redwoods. The kitchen is well appointed and there is a hiking trail a few yards away. The 3rd floor master suite is fantastic and you feel like you are in the redwood canopy. The 2nd bedroom is on the ground floor and though functional does not have the wow factor as the master. This worked great for us and our teenage daughters but for two couples you may have to flip a coin over bedrooms.

Really nice property

Very clean and well kept home, that felt like a home. If you're a light sleeper FYI the upstairs master has no curtains and two skylights. If you're not the views are really nice to wake up to..

Charming Home in Forest

The Spyglass home is spotless with lots of nice amenities. The Air Bath was a nice surprise. The construction of the home is impressive. The interior design inviting and comfortable. Needless to say the location is perfect. We will definitely stay here again.

great house but bad management

House is really perfect - could not be better. Ive stayed with VRBO rentals all over the world and its never been anything but marvelous. This management group need to up their game. To ask travelers to drive a 40 minute round trip to their office for no real reason was annoying - the parking passes could be left in the house, as they are anywhere else I have stayed. When I called to say the lockbox was not at the front door, as written, I was told to look around on the ground in case it had fallen off. Then, to look under the bushes in case it had been hidden there. They then put me in touch with the local agent who could barely contain her laughter when she explained that it was on the back side of a porch pillar. I now see they have altered their info to reflect this. But, "look under the bushes" is ridiculous - and after a long drive, to be snickered at was not entertaining. I will use VRBO again but never through this outfit. Ever.

Fun house in trees

This was a very nice home. Clean. Accurate listing. Built into the forest. Easy drive to all the Sea Ranch beach parking lots. After a long drive there we wished we could have received a lock box code at the house to retrieve the key rather than driving to Gualala to Vacasa.
