Good but not great

Overall was a good room. Location, facility amenities, balcony view, beach access, check in process, parking and the like were great. Room was as listed, but felt lacking in quality for the price paid. Examples include a broken screen door, broken drawer handles, zero extra blankets, minimal towels and lackluster cookware. Found a couple roaches during the week also, and a water alarm located on the bathroom floor kept tripping even though there was no water which woke us up several times. Needs some updates to be a 5.

Beautiful two bedroom two bath (extra vanity room) condo with ocean view

We are very impressed with the location the layout and decor of the condo and will definitely stay here again. Parking is easy on ground level and lobby level. Property is beautifully landscaped and maintained. Pool side food and beverage service is available too.

Family Friendly Great View

Family friendly resort. Beautiful view. A few things do need to be updated. I do wish this resort came with a golf cart like a lot of the other resorts as well.

The stay was nice

The condo had a nice floor plan. The kitchen could have been stocked a little more. The 2nd bedroom had uncomfortable beds. The management company had our checkout date wrong so there was a random chair delivery guy in the condo (they thought it was empty due to the incorrect checkout date) and we were not there at the time.

Enjoyable experience

This condo is nicely designed, with a lot of cabinet storage space throughout. The unit was very well equipped and the kitchen was well stocked with cookware, and has nice appliances. We have two teenagers, and the floor plan provided plenty of room for everyone to get ready, watch one of the 3 large tvs, and use their various electronic devices/video games. The beds were comfortable; we did not have any issues with the water system as others had experienced: we turned on the bathroom fans when we showered. The balcony has nice views of the pool and ocean, and everyone enjoyed spending time on the balcony. The balcony furniture could be upgraded, and having a mat at the front door would be nice to help keep sand from getting on the floors past the front entrance - there is a bench for storing beach items and shoes etc., and broom and vacuum. Check in and out was super easy, and Vacasa was very quick to respond when I chatted them with a question. I recommend this unit, and our family enjoyed our vacation.

Clean and Comfy

Excellent condo. Spacious and airy with a great view from the balcony. Only complaints were vanity light didn’t work in master bathroom and the handle on the shower was very loose. Couch also had a big stain but otherwise perfect. Great pool and complex. Would definitely stay here again. Vacasa is a very accommodating company. Relocated us after we had some issues with first condo. Quick and super easy process. Will continue to use this company when booking in the future.

Great property, horrible Vacassa customer service ruined our stay.

We are a family of 5 with 3 older teenagers. We love this unit and the Westwinds property. This is our 6th time at Westwinds, and 3rd stay in this unit. The beds are comfortable, and the kitchen is extremely well stocked making it easy to cook for a family. There are TVs in all the rooms with a new large TV in the living room area. The views from the patio are fantastic with a sunset view. The only thing missing is a couple of beach chairs and some Velcro strips to keep the tops on the blocks in front of the couch. The condo was very clean and we loved the small xmas tree and chocolate left by Vacassa. The downside was from the management of the unit. When we arrived the code to the door did not work. We called the number provided, navigated the different prompts and waited on hold for a call center to answer. This was not a welcoming experience. The representative was not familiar with the property but was helpful in finding a correct door code. Unfortunately, this was not the only issue. During our stay while we were away from the unit the building fire alarm sounded and all the fire doors closed. When we arrived back to the condo, I tried to call Vacassa to see if it was safe to go to the unit. Hit prompt 2 "we have a security issue". After on hold for a long time, I finally hung up. Very scary for us as we did not know who to call. The lights flashed all night with the fire doors closed. In the morning a resident shared that the fire department was dispatched, and the issue was a broken pipe. The next problem was the water continually shut off in the unit. No showers, bathrooms, cooking etc. I called Vacassa's call center, spent 10-15 minutes waiting on hold, went through credentialing and a ticket was created. After some time, the water was remotely reset. The water shut off again. Back to the call center, on hold, credentialing, ticket created. No call from local management, no expectation for a response time. I manually turned the water on 6-7 times, but it would continue to shut off. After 3 hours I called the call center again, waited on hold, hung up as I was getting frustrated not being able to reach someone that could help. Fortunately, I was able to find a phone number to call on the electronic water shut off unit. I quickly reached the company and was able to have the water turned on. Please leave these directions in the unit as the company told me that humidity in the bathroom will shut off the water. It will save renters from having to deal with the call center and ticketing process. The pool was also closed during our stay due to a broken pump. We left a day early. I did find the local operations manager to be very sympathetic and helpful and received a refund for leaving a day early which was appreciated. Great property, disappointing stay

The maids would be loud, talk really loud, amd there was a roach in the guest bathroom...every time i cut the light on....cool layout to the room but too much noise from maids and the trash chute was right nect to our room. We heard the trash chute every morning....

Relocation Condo

We were originally put up in a tower down the beach, which upon arrival we learned that the balcony was closed due to construction. We were relocated to 4754 and it was outstanding! From the views, to the kitchen, the comfy bed and awesome bathrooms - we were spoiled! Great space for two or four, with easy access to beach and around SanDestin. Cold water in guest bath did not work, but we didn’t need it! Space was also equipped with many of the necessities to cook at home, such as toasters, pots, pans, glassware, etc. We would rent this space again as well as recommend to friends! Thank you!
