Here at the Pelican Beach Resort on the white sand shores of Destin, you can spend your days swimming in the resort's indoor/outdoor pools, unwinding in the hot tub, working out in one of two fitness centers, or simply relaxing on a gorgeous stretch of unspoiled beach. Enjoy your very own balcony with a commanding view of the Gulf and the waves rolling in, two TVs paired with two DVD players & a fully appointed kitchen where you can prepare your favorite meals, cocktails & desserts to enjoy at sunset.

Pelican Beach Resort is a Gulf-front property on the sparkling shores of Destin, an ideal escape for those looking to swim, surf, sunbathe, take long walks along the beach & test their skills in a wide variety of water sports. You'll also be right in the midst of Destin's most popular attractions, with Big Kahuna's Water & Adventure Park practically across the road, The Track's go-karts and miniature golf course less than a mile east & the Destin Harbor Boardwalk just over two miles west. Tee off on the Seminole Course or the Choctaw Course at Indian Bayou Golf & Country Club (two miles northeast), find an assortment of eateries and grocery stores within a few minutes' drive (including Target and Winn-Dixie half a mile northwest) & enjoy the natural splendor of Henderson Beach State Park (two miles east).

Beach service is available for rent from March 31st to August 1st. These setups may block the view of the beach from your vacation rental.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). Beautiful Views!

We enjoyed our stay here. The room was clean and ready on our arrival. The room was great just a few cosmetic updates would help, a little paint and trim work to keep up with but it was not anything that we could not deal with. The property has many amenities and places to enjoy the pools, tiki bar and beach. The room was clean, great size for our family of 2 adults and 2 kids. It had the needed cooking utensils and starter care package which was great. The view from the balcony was amazing, we enjoyed coffee in the chairs every morning listening to the waves crashing! We hope to be back again soon, great value!

Met all our needs for a week!

This was our 5th time in Destin and Pelican Beach. We have stayed in pricier units and honestly this one met all our needs and expectations and kept us in a more friendly budget. Could have used an extra blanket or 2 but nothing you can’t pick up from Walmart. See you in about 6 more months!

Nice unit for a couple alone or with a couple of small kids

The apartment is great, awesome view and great location.

The view is amazing, we could see dolphins swimming from the balcony and it was really beautiful experience. The location is great. The large pool wasn’t so warm and the ocean is still chilly. The washer machine and showers may need a maintenance or be replaced. The weekend it was great

Comfortable stay with a gorgeous view

The main bed was very comfortable. The only downside is that the shutters on the window into the hallway don't block the light well. The kitchen is good-sized with all necessary items stocked. The couch was okay, but not the most comfortable. Best part was the private balcony that looked out on the beach. The view was incredible. Fortunately, the balcony is set back and protected from the weather, so we were able to enjoy it even though the weather was cold and windy.

Short stay

We only had an overnight stay and I was honestly glad. The condo was filthy and I would have been super upset if I was staying a week and having my son's young family (2 yr. old granddaughter) come over to visit me which lives in the area and is the reason for our vacation in Destin. Super glad a I booked another home for the remainder of our 10 day stay. I have supporting pictures to back up my statement of just how filthy the unit is. If the unit was to have a major cleaning it'd be an awesome stay.

Convenient access to beach

We arrived around 4 pm. No issues with check-in. Staff was polite and helpful. Unit easily accessed with code. Unit was a bit dirty and we found medication on the dining table. Beach service is available but should be reserved in advance. Bring extra towels and wash clothes. Washer and dryer available near the unit but they are not clean. Parking available onsite was convenient.

Beautiful View

This is going to be long Pros: I’ll start with the resort itself first. The location was perfect! The property is very secure. My husband and I felt safe the entire time we were on the property. The workers are nice. There is a cafe and tiki bar on-site. Both are great! Beware ice for coolers are scarce. Once they are out, they don’t get anymore until the next day. This is the second time we’ve stayed at this resort and the first time with this owner. Now the condo itself. The view from the balcony is beautiful! This condo is on the 5th floor and the pool is right below. It closes at 5 so there isn’t any noise at night. I pleasantly surprised to see there was no carpet in the condo even though the pictures show there is. Cons: The condo floor was covered in sand when we got there. I know it’s hard to get it all but the other condos we’ve stayed in, the floor was much cleaner. The shower head in the master bath is disgusting, there is mold on it. Gross. If you are tall, you’ll have to squat down some to use the shower head. My husband is 6’2 and had to use the other bathroom because he couldn’t stand the other shower. There was hair in the sink and on the counter when we got there. Also gross. When they say they don’t supply much, they mean it. 2 trash bags in the place, one roll of paper towels, no salt or pepper, no scissors, barely any dishes, and no extra blankets. The quilt on the master bed is very thin. The couch is not comfortable and very small. The balcony furniture is very low to the ground so you’re staring through the rails the whole time you sit out there. I had a question about check in and I sent a message 6 hours before we were set to arrive and didn’t get a response from the owner until like 3 days later so that was very annoying. Not good communication at all. When we first got there, the refrigerator was not very cold. I’m not sure if they unplug it and then plug it back up when a new renter is coming. Either way it took 4 hours before it was actually a good temperature for a fridge. The next time we come to Destin, we will be going through a private owner and not a company owner. Our experience with a private owner was much better than this one unfortunately.

Great room and amazing view

The room was very big and beautiful. The shower curtains were a little stained and the floors were a little bit sandy, but it is the beach so that was expected. Overall great place to stay and the views were amazing!

Gorgeous view and amazing atmosphere.

We’ll definitely be back. The host was so responsive and helpful. The resort itself has such an amazing family friendly vibe. Everyone was so nice and playful. The views can’t be beat. We saw dolphins, turtles, and several stingrays. We booked a chair service so we didn’t even have to bring chairs down to the water. Drinks and food can be ordered from the cafe and brought right to you. The pools are heated and our kids had an absolute blast.

Great view

Great view. Condo was very nice. Did not use beach service as you have to reserve it well in advance to get a spot close to the water. Used our own chairs and umbrella ans saved money but was required to stay behind the beach service chairs. Tiki bar on beach was very nice. Overall a very nice stay.

Great beach access and facilities

My family and I stayed for just a weekend. We really appreciated that this place has multiple pools and even a cafe on property. Security was tight. You have to check in at the gate upon arriving and the front desk hands you a FOUR PAGE document of rules you must follow. There are placards posted everywhere about all the rules as well. I guess a lot of out of control people visit this place but we had no issues. I rated the condo itself 4 stars because there are minimal amenities provided inside the condo. Absolutely no food items (salt, pepper, cooking spray, coffee filters) and the sofa bed bedding didn't even come with a comforter, only a set of sheets. There were also no additional throw blankets, only 2 garbage bags, no beach chairs or beach towels. I wanted to inquire about the beach chairs and the type of coffee maker in the unit prior to our visit but had no contact information for our actual host. For the record, no there are no beach towels to use or beach chairs and the coffee maker is your standard drip coffee pot (not a Keurig) and make sure to bring your coffee filters when you come!
