Klassisk "Kiwiana" -bachsats i busk ovanför Matheson Bay, Leigh. Privat och soligt, omgiven av infödda buske- och fÄgelliv med utsikt över havet och Coromandel-halvön. NÄgra minuters promenad ner till en sÀker badstrand med bra snorkling / dykning. Perfekt tillflyktsort under alla Ärstider - öppna dörrarna för att lÄta sommarbrisen flöda eller snubla upp med vedeldare för att skapa mysig "bulthÄl". En Bach frÄn 1970-talet som Àr idealisk för smÄ familjer eller par inom en timmes bilresa frÄn Auckland. Besök den nÀrliggande Leigh township, Sawmill café, get Island eller Pakiri. Omaha Beach, Tawharanui Regional Park och Matakana Coast vingÄrdar ligger en kort bilresa bort tillsammans med byn Matakana med dess marknad, restauranger, butiker och biografer. Wonderful bush setting with sea view. Very calm and tranquil. Short walk to the great swimming beach either by road or bush path. A classic kiwi bach with a lot of character.

Hidden gem

What a wonderful place. Tucked into the hills just outside Leigh is this superb, traditional Bach. Full of lovely touches, the pictures definitely do not do it justice. The owner Bryce was very easy to deal with and we felt like we were staying in someone's house, not just a holiday rental. The log burner was the icing on the cake on a cold and stormy winter weekend.

Matheson Bay

The house is a lovely, well equipped traditional bach set in an amazing native wood which includes kauri trees and a view of the sea. Unfortunately we were staying when Cyclone Gabrielle struck and experienced long periods of power outage. We survived using the excellent woodburner to boil water and cook, and could access water from the garden tanks. Not the holiday we anticipated, but the house kept us safe.

Beautifully situated in the regenerating Kauri forest where Kaka birds make your evening meals on the deck a memorable. A quintessential kiwi batch experience where there is beauty and peace found in simplicity.

Private quiet weekend close to coast

We spent Labour Weekend in this very comfy bach surrounded by native bush and birds. Lovely walk down to Matheson Bay, and car trips in the wider area. Lovely deck for meals and coffees. Great communication with host. Thanks for an awesome stay

Cute Bach with Seaviews

We really enjoyed our stay at this cute bach near Matheson Bay. It was comfortable and well-equipped and had a very homey feel. Loved the sea views from the deck and the birdsong in the bush.

So cute we loved it! Games, books, bush and birds were amazing. Lovely area with gorgeous waterfalls and beaches to explore. We had good swim in our wetsuits. Great fired kept us warm and dry. Had everything we needed wish we could live there.
