Självständig prisvärd stuga i lantliga miljöer Rymlig för 2, fortfarande tillräckligt med utrymme för 4 vuxna, extra barn ok. Freeview TV + gratis Wi-Fi. Tallskog och infödd buske för barn att leka med gott om plats att utforska.
Otroligt privat, omgiven av tallskog. 100% landsbygd, men ändå bara 15 minuters bilresa från Wellington CBD.

Ganska varmt nu med värmepump, loggbrännare och oljevärmare så att du kommer vara mysig även på de kallaste dagarna.

Observera att detta är landsbygd och på något sätt knäppt bach, inte ett hotell. Om du föredrar humming city och 4+ star boende kan du njuta mer av att bo i ett av Wellington hotell. Detta är rimligt prissatt bach för människor som gillar utomhus och landsbygd. Ingen kollektivtrafik i närheten (närmaste busshållplats 4 km promenad över kullarna) och närmaste affär är cirka 15 km returresa. Tillfartsväg från motorvägen (sista 5-8 minuter) är blåsigt uppförsbacke men ganska naturskönt när du passerar stenbrottet.

Basic bach review

Quant bach, very simple. Good distance to wellington, dont arrive in peak hour and make sure you have any supplies. Bach was.not clean or well stocked, good communication from owner.

Great buget option close to city

We hardly spent any time in the bach, it was just a place to lay down our heads close to the city but a great budget option. It was great for what we needed but found the big bed a little too hard and struggled to get the water temp in the shower manageable. Overall a good option with everything you need, small windy road to the property but a good city location.

Sleepy rural Wellington

Great value for money and a welcome respite after a long day. For some, the drive up and down the hill might be an issue, although we found it exhilarating for the views. May be a problem for a van or large vehicle, you're sharing the narrow road with the occasional logging truck. Would stay there again.

Fantastic bush bach

Basic and quirky with everything you need. Great host communication and explanation of property. Perfect place to unwind after exploring the city, kids loved playing in the bush and we loved the mod cons. The wind in the trees was magical. Will definitely stay again. 🙂

We loved our stay away.

We loved our stay away. Our kids loved the stay. Road up by quarry not my ideal commute but the views heading up & at the batch makes it worthwhile. Plenty of good firewood & heat pump as backup. Hope to stay again

Was a lovely little property. Great house, was clean and tidy and exactly how it looked online. A highlight was the little chicken that would come to our door in the morning!

Great rustic home away from home

A great rustic holiday home for a family of five, as described. The kids thoroughly enjoyed the chickens and their adventures in the gully, making it the perfect bush getaway. A short scenic drive to Wellington. Michal's assistance and excellent communication made our stay even more enjoyable. Thank you

BEST STAY EVER

We enjoyed our stay in this little homely bach, loved the oldschool look gave alot of nostalgic vibes which me and my family enjoyed, the bach was on its own and surrounded by beautiful nature where we got to explore and go for a little bush walk. Only thing that was a downfall was the WiFi stopped working after our first night but that's okay we got to have alot of time with our kids rather then being on our devices. I would book here again if we ever come down to Wellington again.. Thank you to the hosts for making the communication easy for us and giving us our privacy. We really appreciate it and hope to come down again. Love from the Kishore 🙂

Big out shelter

The listing is accurate. The location is secluded which is great for a quiet night. The weather at check in was cold and damp. No heat was left on, even at the lowest setting. Fridge was dirty and the place smelled damp. The price is right for what you get. The water for this unit is supplied by rain water and holding tank(s). Fine for showers and laundry but I wouldn't drink it. Not sure I would stay again but for the money, if you are in a budget, it is a good spot

Very peaceful, quirky little bach

Awesome little place. Quirky but comfortable. Peaceful for the most part. We didn't realise that people park outside the bach to do the pine forest walk there and play with their kids on the lawn outside the bach. So that was a little shock when we were enjoying breakfast in bed together on our anniversary with the curtains open to enjoy the scenery 😳 lol. The owners said people will be in the forest on the friday morning, but we weren't aware that meant outside the bach haha. I was SO looking forward to the fire as it was freezing and we dont have one at home, but sadly there was no timber or means to light the fire. We brought some timber then realised there were birds nesting in there so never lit it in the end. Heatpump worked to keep us warm though. It is old but once it winds up it heats the place up after an hour or so hehe. Absolutely loved our time here and it had what we needed...a comfy bed...a COFFEE MACHINE...a nice big table to play games at, and really helpful and accommodating owners. The shower wasn't the best, but it was amazing for what you pay for this little place. Overall...we will be back. We love rustic and quirky, and it was in a beautiful spot! Thanks Michal. We can't wait to return and relax.

I like the bach.Warm and cozy.My 5 yrs old wanted to stay back. We are not just prepared for the road as some of phobia for the curves and height.Apart from that,It was nice to be there.

Amazing Cottage

We wanted a place secluded and away from everyone and we had that plus more. Teens really enjoyed the bush area. Was a quiet beautiful hutt like spot. Perfect for us! Highly recommended.

Great stay!

Ok, so navigating the freeway to get there was a bit of a challenge to begin with - but once we got the hang of it it was fine. This was a gem of place for our family, with a side array of kitchen utensils, a great oven, a nice warm fire and wood to forage - we were very happy and comfortable. It was a lovely base to explore Wellington from, what a lovely view coming down the hill! We'll be back.
