Oilers Game NYE getaway

Went to the NYE Oilers games with my kids and the place was absolutely perfect. Great location within walking distance and comfortable to stay.Would certainly stay again.

We were very disappointed that the host cancelled the final night of our three day stay the morning we were to check-in. Coincidentally the final night of our stay was also the first night of the Stanley Cup Playoffs in Edmonton. We had to find alternate accommodation for our final evening at the conference.

High Cancellation

Once we had the property reserved and had been charged to stay the host messaged the next day and said the property wasn't available. Looked at the host and he has a cancellation rate of almost 50% which seems ridiculous. At this point we haven't been refunded our money either.

Horrible Customer Experience

Host canceled on us 16 hours before check in. Gave us the reasoning the current client had water damage to their own property and couldn’t leave the Vrbo rental. We were all coming in from out of province and had flights and game tickets booked. The timing of cancelling was inconsiderate and the host had the option to relocate the current tenant for 3 days to accommodate us. We had to scramble to find accommodations that late and paid a premium. Don’t be let down by this host!

Peak Residence review

The location was ideal for our needs. Being very new place it lacked some of the basics we have come to expect in a rental unit, such as a hair dryer, extra blankets, Kleenex, bath mat, extra toilet paper, dish clothes and dish soap. Lack of directions to use the TV was irritating. The shelving, headboard in the queen room were unsecured and there was no mirror. The beds were comfortable in both rooms and the living area was comfortable, albeit sparse.

Perfect place to see an Oilers game

The suite was very clean and felt very secure being in the downtown core.Perfect location to get to Rogers Place as well as the Convention Centre. Lots of great restaurants close by.The host was very communicative and easy to work with.
