Pros. Beautiful property on dead end gravel road. Outstanding views with river and grand trees. Generous porches. AC. Fireplace and fire pit. Beds made up for you. Cons. Not many. Better quality cushions for rockers and out door furniture would be nice. Chores to do on checkout. Overall. I would go again. A real treat!

Thanks for your feedback. We’re so glad you enjoyed your stay! The cushions are the ones that came with the patio furniture. Not sure we can find exact size replacements but we can be on the lookout. Chores to do on checkout are putting trash bags in the can outside, running the dishwasher, stripping beds and putting sheets and towels by the washer, adjusting thermostat and locking the doors. That’s standard for the rentals where we have stayed. This also helps our cleaners get their job done in a timely manner so that we can offer early check-in times to our guests when possible.

This is the most beautiful property very warm and inviting! Decks both covered and not with outdoor furniture! River front with gorgeous views! Host is very responsive and the cottage was clean! There are no negatives just realize it is very steep terrain (you are in the mountains) and you do have to go up and down steep hills to get to the river and back to the cottage! Not a negative just something to keep in mind! There are quite a few public boat ramps if you need them. You could put a kayak in on the property with assistance. I give it a million stars! The locals are very kind and the owners have thought about anything and everything you may need! They are extremely helpful! It was a phenomenal stay! We will be back!

Awesome family vacation

Everything was amazing and such a wonderful stay that we hope to return again someday. The owners were very helpful and all aspects of our visit from locating the cabin to leaving the cabin. We wish we had stayed longer.longer.sperhaps next time.

Love this Cabin!

This was our third visit to this cabin on the river. Always so peaceful and just a nice place to relax. Hosts are very welcoming and easy to communicate with. Enjoyed our stay and will be back!

Peaceful

We loved everything about our stay!! Our favorite was the porch with the babbling brook running underneath!! This was a perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle of life! Comfortable beds, beautiful views and wildlife!! We loved our stay!!

The Perfect River Cottage

The place had everything we needed for an ideal canoeing trip adventure. The Bridal Creek launch to the cottage is the most beautiful stretch of the New River. We can’t wait to come back!

Great Getaway!

The property was listed as described. We felt right at home. The house was very clean. The river access is perfect. The porch with the creek running under is so relaxing. The gate on the porch is also a nice touch for pets. Host left details about getting to the property and check-in and out was a breeze.

Thanks so much. We wish we could but we can't take any credit for the beautiful New River, it's the oldest river in the Western Hemisphere and predates the Ice Age. The nice thing about being there in the Winter is that is indeed easier to see the wildlife... so glad they visited you. Happy New Year.

Loved our stay at the Cabin. We had everything we needed and enjoyed grilling dinner on the Weber charcoal grill. Super convenient riverfront for paddling (put in/take out). So many birds! Everything in the house was easy to find. Thank you!

Wonderful cozy cabin!

We had a marvelous time at this cozy cabin on the River. The owners are super responsive, the views are spectacular, and the cabin is well stocked and very clean! We will be back!
