At face value, this home has a lot of potential. It is spacious with nice fixtures throughout but the amenities are severely lacking. The king sized bed only came with two regular sized pillows and based on the looks of them, they were very well used. The comforter and sheets were also far past it's useful life and should have been replaced ages ago. The shower head fell off as soon as we tried to use it the first night and on top of that, there was hair in the shower from previous guests. The towels were rough and should have been replaced. There were not nearly enough utensils, the most basic kitchen necessities were missing, and there were random, used products in the kitchen cabinets. The back entrance where we were asked to park is a huge sand pit which made it impossible to attempt to keep the sand out of the house. Some stepping stones leading to the driveway would help immensely. Overall, the house provided a place to stay that was spacious enough to host our group. Unfortunately, I don't think we'll be rebooking in the future.

Family weekend stay

Great location, kid friendly - Baby gate, high chair, toys. House furniture is a bit outdated and stained. In need of a deep clean and organizing- lots of burned out lights bulbs, no lock on the bathroom door. Minor things. Overall great stay and felt safe.

Not as advertised

House definitely needs some maintenance done, missing door handles, have to park around back but no walk way to the back door and can't go thru garage cause no access to it. Description sounds much better than when you get there and realize nothing works, tv vcr in loft don't turn on so kids can't watch movies. Nice big house but was disappointed.

Rockaway Beach house

The house was functional and somewhat comfortable. The walk from the garage parking area to the door is blocked by a long stretch of loose sand that you will find yourself trudging through to get to and from your car. Inside, the house was nice, everything works. The furniture around the house is functional but not terribly nice or comfortable. The kitchen isn’t terribly well stocked either. However it is a short walk to the beach and the house was very nicely cleaned. Would stay again if available on our next trip up the coast

Great for kids

This house was so wonderful for our family trip to the beach. The best part was all the little things thought of for the kids. They had toys, a sand pit, plastic kids utensils and so much more. We have a 3 and 5 year old so it was perfect. The house itself is very comfortable. Only criticism besides the need for some cosmetic touch ups and bleach spot towels was the washing machine didn’t work and it didn’t have a bbq. The pictures show a gas grill and under things you should know it listed propane grill so we planned our meals accordingly especially since there was 8 of us. When we got there the grill was gone and when I called about it they said even though those other things were shown it wasn’t listed under the amenities so that means it doesn’t have one. Very confusing and the cause for losing 1 star. We also found a child tooth brush under the bed (not ours) which made me nervous for the quality of cleaning, but we didn’t see that until we went to check out. We would definitely come again.

Where's the BBQ?

No BBQ and coffee pot was dirty. A few throw pillows were starting to rip. We could not find a check out check list. What to do with trash,towels, bedding ect.. walking through the sand to get to the door was a bit messy. A walkway of sorts would help keep the sand out of the house. The house was inviting and spacious and we would stay again.

Loved the quiet comfort near a less crowded beach. Clean and cozy with beautiful natural lighting all day and a fabulous modern kitchen. We would definitely stay here again

Awful property

The pictures online are deceiving. The home was disappointing and dirty in many aspects. Rugs filthy. Floors sandy. Linens sour smelling. Some dishes and cookware put away greasy. Grill wouldn’t start (no lighter) and filled with grease and grime. Tub filled with water when using the shower indicating a clog. Tables, sofa, chairs, and beds were grimy and stained. Old towels and sheets were frayed and pilled and beyond their use-by date. One small outdoor garbage receptacle for a week and no info on what day to set out trash. Had to keep trash inside in laundry room. Cookware and utensils old and some rusty and peeling. No lists of restaurants, stores or other businesses in the area posted. No house rules posted, nor number to call for issues. Few glasses that matched
.like a rummage sale set! Only overhead lighting so don’t plan on reading with a table lamp! And to boot, no pavers leading from driveway parking to entrance
.just a sand filled backyard. No chairs to sit outside to enjoy the sunshine. Utterly disappointing. And we had six people gathering after the long Covid year. We left early of course!

can be improved easily!

We stayed a week in this property. Firstly the good parts. The location is good, close to the beach, quiet and nice neighborhood. The house itself is fine, very comfortable. Here are somethings that can be improved very easily with not a lot of money and time. The sheets (100% polyester) & the towels are awful and the comforters look like 30 years old. The mattresses should be replaced. Also, why is the walk way from the drive way to the entrance covered with sand. Please go to Home Depot and buy some stepping stones. Every time we go in and out, sand gets everywhere. We're vacation home owners as well. We've had a vacation on listed on VRBO for 10 years and we just purchased our second vacation home. Clean sheets and towels are a must!
