Pelican's Watch is situated on Myrtle Beach’s acclaimed Shore Drive and provides accommodations for your family vacation or romantic weekend at the beach. Come enjoy this beautifully first-floor three-bedroom oceanview condo with comfortable furnishings. This condo features a fantastic view of the beach from the screened in porch. Plenty of sunshine in the living area.
This condo sleeps eight people with a queen, two twin beds, two fulls. Additional features include a washer/dryer, wet-bar area, four TV's, Limit two parking spaces per unit

Out dated

TVs are super small one was so old it didn’t have a hdmi connection. Stove knobs were hard to use one didn’t wanna turn no matter how hard/easy I pushed in. Dishwasher is super loud. Master bedroom bed sucked sssooo bad. We bought a mattress topper and that didn’t help at all. The master bedroom stayed hot even at night. Mold in the master bathroom around the shower door. There was a drawer full of kids clothes. I found a pill in the floor. Dining chair legs were loose and wobbly.

Safety

A maintenance person was relaxing on the bed with a remote when we opened the door! Scary! The safety latch on the door was broken. The sliding glass door was very hard to lock. Light in the laundry room was out. Safety bar in the tub is missing. The unit is dated and not clean- carpet and rug. Sand was still on the floor and even on the kitchen table.

Throw back to 1970s

I love the size and layout of the condo. But once you entered thru the dirty screen door and exterior you realize you were in for an unique experience. The entire place was from the 1970s. An RCA refrigerator that still works but probably not energy efficient. I had to completely clean the coffee maker. A wet bar was included in the original plan and is still the original one. This would be an awesome rental if it was completely updated and cleaned properly. Wanting an early checkin, we did not get our text the condo was ready until 5:46 pm. I understand the shortage of people who don’t want to work but maybe a complimentary gift card for gas, food etc. would help compensate for that.

Best location

We’ve stayed at this condo before. Love the location. Right on the beach. Walking distance to Annie’s ( live music bar on the beach) and Flip Flops bar also live music. Condo missing a toaster which bought and left there. My only minus was the main bedroom mattress is horrible for me. I understand that’s very subjective. Like the digital locks , everyone could enter anytime they wanted.

Convenient and Cozy

Although dated it was clean, close to the beach and cozy. We had 3 adults and 4 children and was room just enough for us. I would stay here again.

Softball tournament

We had a great stay and there was plenty of room. We were even able to check in early. The only complaint is that the washer and dryer are on their last leg. The dryer did not get hot enough to dry the towels.

Older unit but nice if you're not picky

A few steps from the beach and pool. Huge plus. Room wasn't ready on time, 1 hour late. No big deal. Older unit, old appliances, 80's feel. But if you just want a place to sleep and do some lite meals, it's fine. Quiet neighbors, no partying, laid back feel. Would stay again for sure!

Pelican watch

We have stayed at Pelican watch for 20 + years. This condo needs work. There were bugs which they came out to spray. Still saw them. High price for what you get. We love this area but will have to look to stay elsewhere.

Condo review

Nice condo. In need of upgrades and paint. Need new mattresses and comforters. Pull out coach would be nice too. Not a true ocean view but still very nice. Great location to live music. And stores.

Very Close To Beach/Outside Lights Too Bright for Sleep

Great Points: very close to beach, 2 1/2 baths, lots of room for 3-5 people (over that would be too crowded for me), cold AC, hot showers, well appointed kitchen. Drawbacks: very bright lights at complex stay on all night and the main bedroom stayed lit up. I had to wear 2 sleep masks to block out enough light to be able to sleep. Black out curtains would have been so awesome. Some of the bedding could be cleaned/updated. We enjoyed our time but I will look for a different unit if we return. And I will ask about black out curtains.

Golf week stay

All-in-all a most satisfactory experience. Condo is a bit dated but very clean and nicely decorated. Very comfortable and great location for us. We come to golf so don’t spend a great deal of time in the condo but with 3 bedrooms there was plenty of privacy when we wanted it. Several restaurants within walking distance or a very short drive. Right on the beach.

relaxing weekend

Thanks for sharing your home with us. We had a very relaxing weekend. I like that two of the bedrooms had one full and one twin instead of two twins. The condo was clean. Check in and check out were incredibly easy!
