This is my third time to this Mushroom House and as usual everything was just perfect. The host paid special attention to detail. The house was immaculate. We had a great time and would highly recommend this house.

I have stayed in many wonderful rental properties in the U.S., Europe and Canada but Shawn’s carefully preserved Mushroom House in Charlevoix was truly exceptional. We felt honored to stay there and share this bit of history. It was delightful to discover all the special touches, including the artwork and unique architectural touches that make Earl Young’s house such a standout. Thanks for the memories!

What a wonderful home to be able to be able to spend a week in. Breathtaking views right from the front door looking out to Lake Michigan. We loved watching the sun set each night. We would definitely stay here again!

This lovely home is an Absolute Architectural Gem! Our family of 5 recently stayed at this incredible home in Charlevoix, and we cannot say enough good things about it. The house itself is an architectural masterpiece that has been meticulously kept and was fastidiously clean upon our arrival. It managed to be both stunningly beautiful and entirely comfortable for all of us. While the indoor spaces were spectacular, we all especially fell in love with the amazing patio. The views from the property are so lovely, and the location couldn't be better. We loved being walkable to downtown Charlevoix and the Lake Michigan beach. Charlevoix itself is an amazing place with so much to do. We would love to plan a return trip to this wonderful town, and we absolutely hope to stay in this phenomenal home again. Thank you for a perfect stay!

The house has so many unique characteristics, it was a fun stay! The fireplace was lovely, we had relaxing evenings in, enjoying the beauty of inside and outside. Seeing the lighthouse from the living room is cool. There were gorgeous sunsets while we were there. We ate out so didn't need to use the kitchen much. Highly recommend Weathervane for dinner and Blondies Coffee!

The kitchen was well equipped. Only issue was an odor in the Queen bedroom located between two bathrooms. Location was perfect and the house was very unique.

Location was great, walking to the beach, shops and restaurants. The house was awesome, unique, clean, comfortable, very nice all around. We would love to come back for another memorable vacation.

The house was exceptional. The location was perfect & overlooked Lake Michigan. The town was very close by and charming. The host paid special attention to details in the house & was equipped with everything we needed. All we had to do was bring our clothes. We will definitely be back.

Marvelous Mushroom House stay!

We were amazed by the property! This house is a piece of Charlevoix history. Our stay was comfortable and a privilege in this one of a kind residence. Thevowner gave us the ifo we needed to access tge home and enjoy our stay.

Wonderful stay

We loved this mushroom house. It had everything we could have needed - very comfortable beds, linens, kitchen well stocked, and that patio!!! We love Charlevoix & this house was close to town. We walked everywhere. Would definitely come back.
