Hardwood floors and arched doorways add to its cozy charm. City center is just down the street and the grocery store is around the corner, with a nice private back patio for you to relax under our birchwood glen. You'll have the entire 2 bedroom, full bath home to yourself for your comfort and relaxation.

Neighborhood overview
Northeast Neighbors (NEN) encompasses a beautiful historic part of Salem, including the Court-Chemeketa Historic District, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The neighborhood is roughly bordered by State Street to the south, the Oregon State Fair property to the north, the Union Pacific railroad to the west with a slight jog westerly around Parrish Middle School and the surrounding neighborhood and 24th Avenue NE to the east.

Comfortable house in a nice neighborhood

First time in this house. We plan to return to it next time we visit Salem. Everything we needed was provided, unlike some other places we have stayed. Angela has been our hostess before. She’s great, very responsive and supportive!

Visiting Salem

The house was nice. It smelled like it had been closed up for the winter, but it was perfect for our needs, we were in and out visiting our daughter.

Lovely weekend getaway in Salem

Stayed with family. Kitchen was well appointed and location is walkable to downtown Salem and Willamette University. Very relaxing location and safe.

Small, but cozy

The bedrooms and bathroom were spacious; but felt the kitchen was lacking a few amenities (some more bowls for cooking or serving food in, more containers for storage of leftovers). We enjoyed the holiday decorations scattered through the house. Overall, it was a cozy house and we enjoyed spending Christmas there with our family. The host was very responsive to my inquiries.

As I got closer to having to start paying for my boys college, I decided to launch my vacation rental business with my Downtown Salem Loft. a 2400 sq ft "New York Style Loft" Apartment in the oldest historical building in downtown Salem. I quickly realized this was my nitch, I was great at hosting guests and providing beautiful, affordable lodging in our Capitol City and Greater Willamette Valley and so it began. My vacation rental company is SalemStays.com. Currently I have 10 vacation rentals in Salem, 1 In Independence Oregon towards the coast and wine country and 1 in Stayton Oregon on the trail to Silver Falls State park and the Oregon Gardens! I love the hospitality business and supplying guests with beautiful, comfortable, and usable spaces to stay in for a much more reasonable price than staying in a hotel.
