Cozy Mountain Cabin

Great little Cabin, we loved sitting in front of the fire at night and having the second living space for the kids. Definitely recommend for anyone looking for a Smoky Mountain vacation.

Yearly Trip

This cabin is easily accessible & conveniently located to both Gatlinburg & Pigeon Forge (using the bypass). Communication w the home owner was great. We also got to see several bears!

Gatlinburg Getaway

There was plenty of space for my family of 7. My father even joined us for the last few days of the trip. The hot tub was a favorite. We had everything we need to enjoy our stay.

Granddaughter 21st Birthday/ Christmas celebration

Cabin is cozy and enough room for the seven of us. We were here for the Christmas week and the decorations were appreciated. Nice having a Christmas tree.We used the hot tub almost every day. We did see one bear in the road one day. The cabin needs some updates and a good clean ,but overall we enjoyed it. Room for 4 vehicles,two being trucks. Amazing views close to town.

We enjoyed every minute of our stay! The house is amazing and rustic. Plenty of space for our family to stay but still just a short drive to get to town. I love how you can tell the owners truly care about the home and their guests!!

Parents 55th Wedding Anniversary

This is a great Cabin. Perfect distance from main strip in Gatlinburg as well as hiking spots. Perfect size for our family. The property owner was very detailed in directions and with tips for food and things to do. Will absolutely stay here again :-)

Lots of bear around the cabin.....20 plus the entire week we stayed. Couple of turkeys. Loved the location be close to Gatlinburg.

Family Vacay in the Smokies

Needs some up keep. Railing is weak around the outside deck. The tin on the roof is exposed and is at head level for young children that could cause major injuries. Needed some cleaning under the furniture and if you have a large group of people, more towels and wash clothes are needed. We had to wash towels .We had a group of 7.

Family Vacation

We had a great time at the cabin. It was the perfect size for my family and my sisters family. We saw a few bears during our week stay (14 total). The rooms worked out well for us. Compared to the other cabins near by it did seem a little dated but that did not bother us. We also liked using the clubhouses for swimming which were nice for our kids ranged 3-11 years old. The downstairs jack and jill bathroom shower stall is small but worked fine. Any questions we had were answered quickly. Great vacation!

Thanksgiving Getaway

Beautiful place to stay for the Thanksgiving holiday! The whole family has a great time and there was a lot of things to do and see. The hot tub was great - clean, working and perfect on a cold night. The pool table brought out the competitive side of the family :) There was plenty of space for the family to have quiet time for themselves. Would definitely recommend others to stay in this cute and cozy cabin! The Christmas decorations were an added bonus!

Bear Central

We had such a blast during our stay - saw bears everyday but one. The communication with the propert manager could not have been more clear and the check-in process was seamless. Even our teenagers had fun! The location was perfect, just a 10 min drive to Gatlinburg and the scenery was breathtaking. We will definitely be back!!

Bears bears everywhere!

We thoroughly enjoyed the cabin. We cooked most all meals in the fully equipped kitchen. The washer/dryer was a helpful perk so we are going home with clean clothes. Our family utilized the hot tub and the pool table as well. We saw bears at least 15 times during our three night stay. They were not aggressive but we kept our distance and just watched from the deck. One bear did try getting in our vehicle but doors were locked and everything was safe. We would highly recommend this cabin for families in the future.

Beautiful cabin

The cabin was clean and spacious and beautiful. There a high chair there for baby, wished there wouldve been a pack n play but it was fine bc hs ealways sleeps with me anyways... i expected 2 tubs but there was only 1. But it was totally fine . Worked out great. We really enjoyed our vacation.

Beautiful Home away from Home

We enjoyed this chalet on Spring Break. The location is perfect. Just a short drive to downtown Gatlinburg and entrance to the Mountains. The chalet was beautiful and perfect for our family of 5. Everyone had their own room, which was perfect! Everything there that you could possibly need. The hot tub and pool table was an added bonus! Nice cabin

Was a great stay we were there for spring break. Of course it was cold and snowed one day and then the last day was in mid 60’s but made the best of it. The cabin was nice, you could tell some things had not been cleaned, a lot of dust but over all was a nice cabin for a family with kiddos. Good accommodations and the owner was very nice when we couldn’t get the fire place to turn on. The Hot tub was nice for 4 adults.

Overall Good.

Overall the cabin was clean, but there were a few minor issues. There was a used washrag left hanging on the back of the main bathroom’s door, the towel rack in the main bathroom was broken and being pulled from the wall and there was a used tissue on the floor of the master bedroom. We ended up using a box fan in the master bedroom, but one of the other fans did not work and the upstairs bedroom gets very hot. Aside from these minor issues the stay was great. The location was very close to downtown Gatlinburg and easy to get to.

Wonderful

The cabin was a nice reprieve. It was clean and everything was as described. We seen bears everyday so keep things locked. The property manager was very responsive with questions. Only thing I would change is the mattresses were very firm and I’m not use to it. But it was a three story cabin (basement, main floor, loft) so plenty of room. We loved the pool table and hot tub. You are only 5 min from gatlinburg but far enough out you feel secluded. The neighbors were all extremely friendly. Over all it was a wonderful experience. I will gladly book again.

Not a good place to stay

This property had not been cleaned well. Overall not as it should have been. Property is In need of repairs and maint. work. The deck had not been swept in some time. The table on deck was very dirty. The water in hot tub was not good at all. The chemical balance was way off. There was only a few rolls of toilet paper for 6 people for 7 days. We had to go buy more. No dish towels in kitchen. We have stayed in a number of properties over the years and this is the worst we have stayed in.

My wife and I are both educators. We bought Bear Haven primarily as a retreat to share with our sons. I grew up going to the Smoky Mountains on a semi-regular basis. Some of my favorite childhood memories are fall visits to see the leaves and nights walking the strip in Gatlinburg.

Varför värden valde detta boende

We love the location since my sons and I hike and fly-fish in the mountains, while my wife and daughter-in-law have access to unlimited shopping and bargain hunting in the area.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

We love the tongue and groove paneling and the stone fireplaces. The deck is a nice place to relax under the shade of trees in the summer. While we have neighbors within sight, this is in an older section of Ski Mountains where the cabins are more spaced out.
