Quiet canal-front 3/3 Single-Family Home with Private Pool & Cabana Club Access

Welcome to Blue Heron House. Enjoy and relax in our ground-level 3 bedroom / 3 bathroom private, single-family home which is tucked away in the quiet, safe, and walkable City of Key Colony Beach.

Located on a deep and wide canal with a 75 ft dock (45 ft of boat dockage due to boat lift) and easy access to the Vaca Cut Bridge - both the Atlantic and Gulf, fishing and diving are just minutes away. The dock is equipped with a cutting board, umbrella, and running water.

Our East facing home offers a private heated pool, barbecue, and a fully equipped kitchen. As our guest, you will have access to The Cabana Club which boasts a large pool, hot tub, sandy beach, restaurant, and bar.

The City of Key Colony Beach is a peaceful, walkable community with public tennis, pickle ball, and basketball courts, and a Par 3 golf course. We have kayaks, tennis rackets, pickle ball paddles, and family board games on the premises for your use.

We book Saturday to Saturday, flexible on dates between September and December.

Spring break

This house was perfect for our family spring break vacation. It was very clean and had everything we needed. Our children especially loved the pool and fishing from the ledge. We visited Sunset Beach daily as it was only a few minutes walking from our house. We also enjoyed swimming in the large pool at the Cabana Club! We did a day trip to Key West and also rented a fishing charter. This amazing house and beautiful location let us create some lifelong memories with our family! Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Great Experience

The home is very clean and organized. What see in the pictures is what you get. Plenty of space for my 32 foot boat without blocking the view of the 100 foot channel. Being close to Vaca Cut & Atlantic Ocean is a plus, don't have to go far to drop a hook. Truly a great experiance.

Instant tranquility

A much needed break from the everyday, here we found tranquility! The house was very clean and well equipped with all we needed. We enjoyed grilling in the backyard while the kids went kayaking in the quiet canal then a dip in the perfect temperature pool. The dock was perfect for our boat which we went out in daily. The local beach, less then a block away was a great spot for sunsets and the Cabana Club has one of the nicest beaches I've seen in the Keys, no rocks! The owner was super helpful and recommended some local restaurants we enjoyed. We would definitely stay at this property again!

Beautiful time

Our family of four had a wonderful stay at Blue Heron House. Everything you would need to relax and enjoy Key Colony Beach is right there. The kitchen is fully equipped, the beds comfortable and the pool was especially appreciated by our boys. We rented a boat and fished. The dockage was great for a 24’ boat. The fish cleaning station and outside freezer were clean and maintained. We can’t wait to come back! Helen was very easy to communicate with and provided excellent information about the house and area.

Awesome place in the perfect location

Wow! This was a great place to stay. Clean, spacious, everything we wanted. Helen was great to deal with, she checked on us when we arrived in Florida to make sure we made it to the house ok. The house had everything we needed. It was also the perfect location to go where we needed to go. The pool was warm and great tonrelax in. We enjoyed the beach club a few days. Just and awesome place.

Will Rent Again!

Our family LOVES the Key Colony Beach community and this property had absolutely everything we needed.We have a special needs daughter plus a rambunctious 7 year old boy that's full of energy. Finding a place that caters to both is difficult to find but this place checked all of the boxes.Everything was so well organized and taken care of. Absolutely zero complaints.We can't wait to come back.

Fantastic Stay

This is a lovely home and Helen was the best host we have had in all our years. We have been frequenting Marathon at least annually for 25+ years. In those years, we have had many very good hosts, but Helen's response to our questions was not only incredibly prompt but also very accommodating. The home had everything you need, was very comfortable including the beds and the canal is perfect for boating along with fishing. Perfect place and host. Thanks Helen for making our trip so enjoyable.

AWESOME!!

This was the easiest booking and check in ever! Helen was the perfect host. The place is located on a big canal. There was all kinds of big boats docked along the canal so I feel safe to say that any guest bringing a boat is good to go. We have a 28 ft boat, big trailer and big truck. First VRBO where there wasnt any issue with parking, plenty, plenty of space! The house is very spacious and well equiped. The pool and backyard is great! I will most definitely book this place again! I just wish I could put more people in the house because I'm bringing my whole family back this summer but I need space for 10 people this time. Thank you again Helen!!

Wonderful Stay!

This was a wonderful stay for our family of five (all adults). The house is exactly as advertised and supplied with all that we needed. We enjoyed swimming daily in the pool and caught plenty of fish in this great canal. A nice short walk to Sunset Park (even got to watch the St. Patrick’s Day parade for Key Colony Beach) and a quick hop over to the Cabana Club to enjoy another part of the community. Helen was very helpful anytime we had to reach out. We would love to stay here again for our time in the Keys!

Great Location!

First Extended Winter Stay

We were very happy with our stay at this property. This was our first experience escaping the north for an entire month in the winter and we loved every minute of it. The neighborhood is friendly and quiet. The house amenities were perfect for hosting family when they visited. The kitchen is well stocked and the patio area is perfect. We have already signed up for another month in 2024!
