This spacious house sleeps up to 12 adults and children in the main home (*and there is also an ADULT ONLY - Private Modern apartment FLEX SPACE that can be rented for an ADDITIONAL COST, where 2 more ADULTS can stay. Ask for more info if interested. The last several pictures are of the apartment). This is a wonderful space to spend any season with your family or friends, there’s always lots to do.

With its breathtaking views of Douglas Lake and The Smoky Mountains the home is the perfect place for your next retreat. VERY RARE, LARGE PRIVATE OFFICE with panoramic views to make the work day fly by...which helps make working from home time not too bad! Wifi throughout to keep you connected if needed.

High style luxury provides 2 amazing kitchens that are fully equipped for making those delicious meals your whole family or group of friends will always remember. Also, a large theater room, outdoor grill, a salt-water *heated pool and spa, extra large lounge deck, 2 fire pits, and plenty of space for guests to relax and rejuvenate. Your group will also have plenty to do nearby such as hiking trails, boat, jet ski, kayak, and paddle board rentals, golf, water parks, amusement parks, shopping, horseback riding, white water rafting, and lots of antiquing.

This house is perfect for 8-10 adults, for retreats. And the sleepers can accommodate children or a couple of smaller adults. We allow up to 12 booked persons total in the main house (and IF THE FLEX SPACE IS RENTED...then there is allowed 14 Total, NO EXTRA GUESTS ALLOWED ON PROPERTY…NO EXCEPTIONS.

NO SMOKING ANYWHERE ON PROPERTY.

Perfect vacation getaway

Breathing taking views, beautiful spa like pool, plenty of space in the house and fully equipped updated kitchens are just a few of my favorite things. Other outstanding things are the peacefulness found just by sitting and enjoying the view out to the lake and the smoky mountains in the background. One room in particular was amazing, is the room upstairs by the pool table. What a view especially at night with the moon over the lake. The hosts were so very helpful and always on call if needed. We had a wonderful vacation, no complaints at all!

Family Getaway

We had such a wonderful time at The View! The home is beautiful, truly a place to relax and enjoy all that it has to offer. There was an issue with the hot tub, but Kimberly and Michael were able to get it resolved quickly. Thank you for a wonderful place for our family to gather!!!

peacefulness out of every view

House was very spacious, plenty of room for large family. Pool was very private and what grandkids loved the most, in the evenings enjoyed movie in theater room. We would not hesitate to come back.

Wonderful 5 star stay

We rented this expansive home for a family vacation. It had everything we needed and more. Two kitchens, multiple sleeping rooms, pool table, movie room, and a large pool with hot tub overlooking beautiful views of the lake and mountains. It had close proximity to the town with a good grocery story to stock up on essentials. We would definitely consider going back.

Great property with lots of amenities!

Property is very clean and offers so much space for a larger family. There are many, many conveniences already there for you! Loved having a private bath in every bedroom but then others centrally located close to where we all hung out. We all had a great week! And the view is beautiful!

Beautiful view

Everything about the property was as advertised. We were very impressed with the accommodations. Everything we needed for cooking was available. The pool was fantastic and the view was amazing. We spent most start time swimming and relaxing outside on the deck. The area was very nice and we spent a day on the lake with a rented pontoon boat. We were closed to other places, but chose to stay close to the house.

Wonderful family vacation retreat

We had 13 family members stay at the house and spent a majority of our time there due to all the things available to us such as a large heated pool/ hot tub, pool table, theatre room, fire pit and plenty of outdoor spaces to enjoy the incredible mountain/lake view. The house is very well-equipped and very spacious. The home had two kitchens which allowed us to cook in one of them (out of the way) and then serve and entertain in the other large kitchen area. Also, we found the owners to be very considerate and customer service oriented. I highly recommend this property.

50th Wedding Anniversary

This was the perfect place for our family. The hosts were amazing! They were so helpful and such a blessing to our family. The views are incredible from almost every window in the house. We have never had a rental with everything you could need. They have thought of everything. It’s spacious and a room for everyone’s needs. The house was clean and decor was beautiful. It’s close to so many attractions. The neighborhood was very quiet and friendly. The downtown is full of history and fun shops. Five star for sure!! Thank you Mike and Kimberly for your hospitality and sharing your beautiful home with us.

Fits The Name

It's called "The View" and it lives up to that. I think the first time we rented a house and the pictures didn't do it justice for just how great the place was. Outside of grabbing groceries 5 minutes away at the store, we spent an entire week just enjoying the pool and company. The kitchen's are absolutely stocked with everything you want and more. Owners were so nice and accommodating as well. Don't hesitate.

Perfect family getaway

This place exceeded expectations in every way: clean, fully equipped kitchens, including a great ice maker and two coffee bars. The movie room was perfect for our group - from kids to adults! The views were exceptional, and there were plenty of comfortable sleeping spaces with homey touches, like sound machines in the rooms. A whole house sound system and outdoor cafe lighting made for special nights at the pool and hot tub. TWO outdoor fire areas and an absolutely sprawling floor plan made for tons of space for everyone. We did not want to leave! Kim was responsive and helpful, helping us making sure the kids were safe around the pool - an alarm system and special door locks let us sleep soundly. This place was absolutely perfect. The hosts know how to do things right, taking no shortcuts. Would certainly stay again!

The view.

Perfect property for multigenerational famlies. Great rooms for togetherness, but also spread apart enough for some solo time if needed. The view is spectacular from most rooms. Ensuite bathrooms with all bedrooms and a couple of extras. Kitchens have all your needs. Very comfortable beds and pullouts. Kim and Mike were very responsive to any questions. Beautiful Saltwater pool keep everyone busy in the off times when were we not out and about. Exit alarms for pool area to keep your infants and toddlers safe. Very quiet neighborhood and close enough to all tourist activities. Highly recommend this property. Only con was the week went by too fast!

Relaxing for big family vacation!

This was a last minute switch in vacation plans and it was what our family needed. The home was comfortable, nicely decorated, many gathering spaces, perfect lake views, and inspiring spots inside/ outside the house to meditate, pray, read, and/ or do yoga. The pool was huge along with the hot tub. Many amenities were provided from corn hole, board games, floats, pool table to 2 coffee bars with a bag of locally roasted coffee beans (nice touch from the owners). No direct access to the lake except through a community trail that is somewhat overgrown and not easy to find. Manicured landscaping and in an established neighborhood. The theater room was a hit for the 17 year old boys! Using recommended Chef Jamie from the area was a hit and the food was delicious. Have to give the owners credit for providing 2 full kitchens and a bar, ALL appliances were provided (even 4 ways to make coffee)! Overall a great place to connect with loved ones and just relax together.

Under Surveillance

This house would be ideal for a family of adults that don’t mind being under constant surveillance. We were not permitted to have two dinner guests because that is over the allowable number of guests in the house at one time. They will count the number of people going into the house and then proceed to call you if they count more than you accounted for. The house is well equipped and in a quiet neighborhood with no lake access. The pool and hot tub are beautiful with breathtaking views. I wish we could have enjoyed it with less paranoia.

Awesome surprise free experience.

This resort like home has been as professionally detailed and prepared as may be possible. Though there are two, we only used one of the kitchens which was loaded with everything we needed. The theatre is outstanding in sound,sight and seat. Quality furnishings, comfortable beds, faultless WiFi, great ac, spotless saltwater pool and of course TheView clearly demonstrate that Michael and Kimberly have put much effort and thought in preparing their fine home for the higher end rental market. Amazing home for multi-family stay!

The View home was the perfect property for my family and my sister's family (4 adults, 5 kids aged 7-1 year). The home is spacious, clean , full of every convivence of home and has one of the most functional and beautiful outdoor patio/pool areas we have ever stayed at. You can tell the care that Kim and Michael have put into the home, as it shows in every detail. They ensured that we had what we needed, and even took care of what we didn't know we needed (filling up the hot tub with more water mid-way through our stay etc.). I coordinated with Chef Jamie prior to our arrival, and he brought over the BEST BBQ that we have ever had. Everything was amazing and we had leftovers for days. The house is about 40ish minutes from different entrances to the GSMPN, as well as Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg etc. If you are looking to get away and relax, you don't even need to leave the house. Just sit outside overlooking the pool and mountains!

Great Family Get Away

We had a great mini vacation!!! The hosts were very responsive. The home was extremely nice and views were great. . We spent a lot of time in the pool and hot tub not to mention the spectacular theater room. The beds were comfortable and the kitchens were nice. Hopefully you do not need to work, but the office is awesome and has a great view. We had two toddlers and they enjoyed the pool area and we appreciated the pool security system. We also used Chef Jaime. He delivered brisket, beans, coleslaw, potato salad, and banana pudding at a very reasonable rate. Close to Knoxville, Pigeon Forge, and Gatlinburg. We played a few rounds of golf at Dandridge Country Club (5 minute drive). Lots to do closeby, yet you feel like you are miles away from civilization. BabyQuip delivered cribs, Everything was great! Thanks.

Fabulous home!

We really enjoyed our stay at the View. The pool, spa, theater room, kitchens, and gathering spaces were ideal. Everything was very clean and well maintained. Kim and Mike were excellent hosts and very responsive to any requests or questions that we had, both before and during our stay. We were vacationing with our kids and five grandkids, ages 3-8, and everyone had a great time. We visited Forbidden Caverns and rented a pontoon but spent most of our time enjoying the house. The kids and grandkids also took some hikes, and visited the Smoky Mountain Deer Farm and did horseback riding and visited the petting zoo. We grilled out and ate most of our meals on the deck which was wonderfully outfitted for our big group. On our arrival day we had a meal delivered by Chef Jamie. It was very reasonably priced and actually fed us for multiple days. We also arranged to have groceries delivered by Food City through Instacart so that we didn't have to go shopping right away. I would love to stay here again. It was one of the best family vacations we have ever had.

Kimberly has every detail taken care of! She called the day after check in to make sure everything was ok. Every bedroom has something special, views, a soaking tub, or up stairs away from all the rest… They have an amazing cleaning crew! Once you enter the code to the front door your truly on vacation with a very clean home & the most AMAZING Views! Neither kitchen lacks anything! Fully stocked with everything & 2 coffee bars! Also want to send a shout out to Chef Jamie-his food was delicious! He was very nice & cooks a fabulous meal! Reach out to him you will NOT be disappointed. Theater room - awesome! Pool table so fun! 2 full size kitchens with coffee bar in each, 2 full size fridges, 2 living/family rooms. 2 tables on the deck/patio for dining. Heated pool/hot tub with the most gorgeous views! Breathtakingly beautiful!

‘The View’ is an amazing property. I was specifically looking for a beautiful, peaceful location for my family of 3 for Spring Break. I fell in love with the pictures on VRBO but was hesitant to book due to the lack of reviews. I looked at other locations for a while but kept coming back to this property. I eventually found the reviews on another site and decided to book before I lost the dates I wanted. I can’t say enough how much we enjoyed this home. It is clean, beautifully decorated, spacious and are 2 homes in 1 with two beautiful kitchens. The house is at the foothills of the Smokey Mountains overlooking Douglas Lake. Each part of the house has amazing views of the lake and mountains. I enjoyed drinking my coffee and watching the sunrise from the pool area or from inside the house. Our favorite spots were the pool/spa and the theater room. My husband and I also enjoyed our morning walks in the neighborhood. Although we ventured out to sight see a few times, we couldn’t wait to get back to the house! The home has a resort-like feel to it and would be a great place for multiple families, or for a multiple couples getaway. The owners, Kimberly and Michael, were great to work with and answered all my questions even before I reserved. They reached out to make sure we had what we needed and was always available anytime I had questions. I highly recommend this property and look forward to visiting again sometime in the future! You will have 2 full kitchens, 2 coffee bars, tons of parking, a 900 sq. ft theater room with a 135 inch screen. The pool table is situated in one of the rooms with the best views...you might just want to hang out and eagle watch since there are so many pairs located right on Douglas Lake (I've watched in amazement many days!). There are so many locations inside and out to be alone to meditate, read, or chill...yet there's space for group gatherings that won't leave anyone out. You have the option of having the private salt-water pool heated April 1-Oct 31 for an added charge or just use the spa/hot tub in those cooler months which over looks the lake and mountains. All four bedrooms have private bathrooms which make it great for couples getaways. Two lead directly out onto the pool deck. This home will accommodate up to 12 total in the main home (and we've added a brand new modern apartment that can be rented for an additional charge, but the apartment if for ADULTS ONLY. If interested in the apartment ask for more info). No additional guests permitted. If you want to go to Gatlinburg or Pidgeon Forge you can go, but when you want peace and space...you are just minutes back to the house.

This house is located in a beautiful neighborhood without steep, narrow, or winding roads. Only 5 minutes to a nice grocery store, starbucks, ice cream and snow cone shop, nail salon and a cute downtown shopping area. A restaurant with live music on the deck outside is 6 minutes away. And 7- 10 minutes to golfing and boating. We LOVE this location! Also, unlike many lakefront homes in the area, you don't notice the drastic drop of the lake every spring, fall and winter, because we are positioned high above the water line where you just see the beauty. And because the location is higher, you don't hear all the boat noise typically found in properties close to waters edge. Some of you know what I'm talking about.
