Recently remodeled to add a SECOND primary suite with luxury bathroom and an additional parlor bath! This beautiful home sits in the desirable West Beach community of Kiawah Island near the Cougar Point Golf Course. Newly updated, this 5 bedroom, 3.5 bath home with bunk room and pull-out couch in the den will accommodate the whole family. Three king beds, one queen, full-over-full bunk beds with trundle, and a sleeper sofa offer plenty of sleeping areas! High speed wireless internet and a work area with wireless printer/scanner is provided.

This home is a short bike ride to the beach, the Night Heron Park, The Cougar Point Golf Course, the Sanctuary Hotel and more. BICYCLES, beach toys/chairs, BBQ grill, BLACKSTONE GRIDDLE, slack line, and outdoor games provided for your convenience and enjoyment! The home also has a fitness area with Peloton bike (with membership included!) for guest use. Kiawah Island is a private community with beautiful beaches, parks, scenery, golf courses, and more. This home is nestled at the back of a private cul-de-sac, with pond views. Excellent front yard and driveway space for outdoor entertaining, cookouts, cornhole tournaments, and the like - plenty of space to play. Plenty of driveway and garage parking! Enjoy sightings of a family of majestic bald eagles nested in our side yard!

The home offers comfortable mattresses, bedding, and linens; and top-notch furnishings. The beautifully remodeled kitchen has new appliances and double ovens. Keurig and drip coffee maker (and coffee samples!) are provided. The newer Samsung washer and dryer will keep up with all of your laundry and let you return home with clean clothes! The kids bunk room is equipped with a classic Nintendo gaming system with over 800 pre-loaded games to keep everyone entertained!

Current bike fleet includes 9 adult bikes, one two-seat pull behind Burley trailer, 4 children's bikes of various sizes, and two wagons. A note on bikes - we work very hard to maintain the bike fleet in a salty, humid climate. However, we cannot guarantee that all bikes will be functional during your stay.

Salty air

Salty Air is a great place to stay. Very clean The kids had a great time with the cornhole and ninja course. They had plenty of bikes for all 11 of us will definitely come back again!

Great House for Families

The home was exactly as described and the layout was perfect for accommodating three families. The two dining areas made it possible for all 10 of us to eat together. One small complaint is the lack of lighting in the dining area off the powder room. This area could use an additional light.The kitchen was well appointed with dinnerware, cookware, and storage containers for any leftovers. This house is in the perfect location for getting to the beach. There are plenty of bikes and helmets to choose from. There was even a bike that worked for our 6’7” son. The burley for the little one and wagons for beach equipment and coolers made getting to the beach quick and easy.Cole was very responsive and helpful when we reached out to him, and we appreciated the large map with directions and pinned locations. That made finding things on the island easy effortless.The grandchildren loved their bunk beds and the Nintendo gaming system (their first exposure), and they also loved the slack line. With 4 children in the house, we were happy to have the washer and dryer available.This was our first trip to Kiawah, but we are hoping it isn’t our last. The grandchildren already said they want to return to this house next year. I would definitely recommend this house. It’s a great place to relax with family and make wonderful memories.

Perfect Family Home

We loved staying at Salty Air! The house is perfect for family hosting. We have a toddler and 3 older kids (8-12), and it was perfect for them. Bikes, helmets, hoop, basketballs, wagons, beach chairs, baby cups, high chair, pack n play, sand toys. You really don’t need anything, but groceries. The quality of bedding and towels are also worth noting. Everyone slept well. Great home!

Terrific location!

Home exactly as described. We had a large family group and the home has plenty of room for everyone to spread out. The dining area was perfect for meals and games! Very clean and the kitchen really has everything you need to prepare meals. Beds were comfy with plenty of blankets and extra pillows. We had a wonderful long weekend!! Thank you very much! Will definitely book this home again!!

Great family vacation house

We had a very comfortable stay over Thanksgiving ! Cole was terrific responding to any questions we had. The kids loved the outside obstacle course and we used the grill several nights. The beds and bathrooms were very comfortable. We have been visiting Kiawah for 30 years and would rent this house again on future visits!

Kiawah vacation

This house was just perfect for my family! We had 6 adults and 3 kids (5 years, 2 years and 4 months). Adults and kids had their own rooms. We could walk to the beach and playground and nature center. The house was so clean and well stocked. It had everything we needed. Bikes, toys and pack and play for the baby. The older kids loved the bunk beds & trundle bed. The owner was also very responsive to my texts prior to coming with questions about the house and area. Would highly recommend this house and beautiful island!!

Perfection in Paradise

It was a pleasure staying at Salt Water. It was the perfect place for our family to relax, recharge, and enjoy some time together. The home offers the best of both worlds with enough comfortable places to gather together to enjoy a movie, game, or meal while also providing enough room to separate for a quiet nap. Our host was very welcoming and did his best to make sure that we had everything we needed.

Perfect Long Weekend

My children, my parents and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this home. The layout of the house is perfect for a larger group and different age ranges. My kids loved the bikes and obstacle course. We had one issue while we were there and the owner responded promptly, went above and beyond, and had everything resolved by the end of the day. Highly recommend!

Wonderful stay in Kiawah!

We loved the house! It had so much space for our family of 10. It’s newly redecorated and beautiful! Loved the two master suites. The kitchen was well stocked with dinnerware and cookware, which we loved since we cook big family dinners. The bikes and exercise equipment were great. We want to give a huge shoutout to Cole for taking good care of us as we were at the house during. Tropical Storm Debby. He kept us updated and aware of everything happening and checked on us regularly. We really appreciate him!

Excellent place!

Everything listed in description is accurate. Excellent access to beach. Lovely short walk or bike ride. Wagons available. Loved having access to chairs and bikes. Kitchen is well stocked. We cooked most of our meals at home. Cole was responsive and quick to answer questions. Our family of 9 was very comfortable in all the rooms. We will definitely come back!!Great place to chill and bring the family together!

Beautiful Kiawah home!

We had a wonderful week at this beautiful home. The house was even more beautiful than the pictures. Communication with our host, Cole, was excellent. He went above board to ensure we had all that we needed for a fantastic week! We loved having two primary bedrooms for our big family with adult children and grandchildren. The fleet of bikes in the garage available for the guests’ use along with other beach toys was such a help for us! We especially enjoyed bike rides, beach time, checking out the marsh view tower near the house, and bike rides to Java Java for a frozen chai latte. We’ll be back and will definitely rent this home again!

Summer vacation family

Summer vacation family w 3 kids. The house I believe is the most beautiful on the street. For families this is a dream vacation rental! While you unpack you will notice the extensive cleanliness of the property. I cooked every meal for my children and everything I needed was in the kitchen even olive oil salt some of the spices. I took my time open all the cabinets to get to know where everything was it was delighted. We use one table for dining and we kept the one table for the kids to do their sticker arts and make collages and to play board games. This gave us the opportunity to keep games out without putting them away and enjoying them night after night! Have an a large TV in every bedroom the bathtub and the living room gives opportunities for large groups to be extremely cared for. The windows were my absolute favorite watching deer I saw one bobcat and there’s a huge eagles nest on the property I was watching closely! Inside the garage you will find a small exquisite work out room with one of those luxury specialty bicycles. Inside the garage you’ll find bikes for every size there was at least seven or eight bikes plus helmets! Basketball court in the driveway was my daughters favorite. Getting inside the house was extremely easy anything that I had a question about was answered quickly. I am extremely organized and was well pleased with the house. The new master bedroom with deluxe bathroom is a definite must see! We appreciate the owners!

Wish it didn’t have to end!

We had a wonderful stay here and wish it didn’t have to end. The house is exactly as described and is perfect for multiple families! Our kids loved the “kids room” (bunk beds). It provided a great space for kids to spend time so the adults could visit in the den. My family visits Kiawah every year and one of our favorite things to do is to ride bikes on the incredible bike paths the island provides! We bring our bikes, but the fact that the house already has bikes for their guests is a huge bonus and adds so much value to this property! Most guests who visit the island have to rent bikes . We thoroughly enjoyed the house and we hope to return in the future!

10/10 Stay - Loved this house !!

I’ve stayed in many vacation rentals, but none can quite compare to “Salt Air” in Kiawah. I’ll touch first on the physical location of the house on the island. It is so convenient vs. staying somewhere more towards the Ocean Course for example. You’re a 6 minute drive to Freshfields for groceries, a short walk/bike ride to The Nest for coffee, a 3 minute bike ride to beach access. The house itself is tucked away on a quiet cul-de-sac, right next to a pond. As for the actual home, it truly felt like that, a home. Every single thing was thought of. There were coffee beans, extra toiletries, dishwasher pods, board games, beach chairs, bikes / helmets for the whole family (with tires fully inflated and a pump in case they weren’t), beach towels, etc. These little details made us feel so comfortable, at home and really able to fully relax. Communicating with Cole, was like having my own personal concierge. I received a response in just a few minutes anytime I sent a message. My wife forgot her hair dryer, so I messaged to see if there was one there. He said yes but sometimes it gets moved around by guests. Just in case, he ordered one to the house to make sure my wife had a hair dryer. We were blown away by that level of service, pun intended. All in all, you will not regret staying at “Salt Air.” The house is gorgeous. Everything was easy. It encourages you to relax, disconnect and be with your family and/or friends. I would absolutely recommend this home to anyone! 10/10!!

Amazing beach weekend

Such a well accommodated house, with plenty of room for multiple families. Great memories made grabbing bikes from the garage and going on a sunset bike ride to the beach. Really nice being within a community with parks, bike paths, restaurants, etc. Amazing and responsive host!

Gorgeous, well appointed, close to beach, great for families

This property exceeded our expectations in every category! Just a short drive in from the gate, this gorgeously remodeled 5 bedroom home was a wonderful haven for our extended family of 9. 5 adults and 4 teenagers, we had plenty of space to spread out and relax, or hang out together. 2 master suites, two dining areas, well appointed kitchen and a garage full of bikes for all of us to use. A trunk full of board games, a peloton, a giant bald eagles nest outside the house. I could go on and on. A short bike ride to the beach or to the Nest Market, fantastic location. The kids and adults loved playing basketball outside as well. The pictures do not do this wonderful place justice, it’s exceptionally gorgeous in person. The host was super friendly and responsive, we loved every minute of our vacation and cannot wait to stay here again. The welcome basket was also a lovely touch. Of all the places we’ve stayed in Kiawah, this was our absolute favorite! Quick drive to Freshfields as well for shopping or dining. A++++++

Our Kiawah home is perfect for our family of 7, even if we are hosting other friends and family with us. We are Ohio natives that love the beach! Kiawah and Charleston are special places to our family, and we hope you enjoy it to!

Situated toward the "front" of the island, this West Beach location offers perfect proximity to all the Kiawah has to offer. This spacious, remodeled home has plenty of room for the whole family to both spread out and come together. The large private yard is great for outdoor activities and BBQs. We have provided top-notch furnishings, beddings, and linens as we know a vacation isn't really a vacation if you aren't comfortable!
