Perched on two wonderfully wooded acres boasting views of the Wisp Ski Trail, this secluded lodging will be ideal for getting some much-needed rest amongst the beauty of McHenry! Split into two levels, this can be a great option for two families to get some privacy or a large group of friends to spread out in the five bedrooms. After a full day on the slopes or hiking nearby, the gourmet kitchen will be more than ready to assist in whipping up tasty meals with a gas range, a large island for preparing ingredients, peek-a-boo bar seating for reminiscing with the chef of the group, and stainless steel appliances. Any downtime spent at home base will have no shortage of fun activities for every guest with a game room featuring foosball and a flatscreen TV, a second living area with plush furnishings and a wet bar, and a private hot tub to soak in as the stars come out!

Though this retreat will give you that sense of privacy, there will be no delay in checking out local attractions of town with the main drag of McHenry sitting just two miles from your front door. While in the area, be sure to check out the many restaurants, cafes, shops, and Marsh Run Cove that make this town so special. Cabin in the mountains

I really loved this place. Perfect place out in the country. The area is not so great not enough fast food places to choose from. Would’ve rated this place 5 stars but the spa tub in the bathroom was broken. The spa tub caused a leak in the ceiling in the game room with the foosball table. I called the number provided at the cabin and asked if I would get some sort of discount for this but was told that department doesn’t handle payment. Overall it was a beautifully vacation stay and would definitely return to vacation again.

Family getaway

We rented this property for a long weekend getaway in the snow and had a great time! The property was perfectly suited for my family and my boyfriends family. There was room to spread out but great shared spaces as well! The huge dining room table fit everyone and a lot of important conversations and the pool table downstairs was a blast. This property is close to Wisp and amenities but also secluded. Tip: the kitchen is fully stocked with cookware but you need to bring your own spices and oils. Tip two: they don’t tell you until you book that you need four wheel drive in the winter… the driveway is steep!

House is great. Amenities are poor.

The house is beautiful and peaceful. It fit our 10 guests with ease. Unfortunately, none of the fire places worked, which sucked in the winter. None of the DVD players worked, which was frustrating to my kids. We emailed for help when the troubleshooting guide yielded no help. We never got a response. The grill was so distrusting it was not useable, mostly because there were no grill brushes or scrapers to clean it. One of the ovens is not useable because all the oven racks are too small and you’d have to put it on the bottom of the oven. All of the dishes were dirty and required cleaning before use. For spending $2000 for a weekend, I don’t feel we should have had to bring our own toilet paper , trash bags (three provided for 10 people for 4 days) or paper towels. I would use Vacasa again and would visit the region again, but wouldn’t use this property again.

Beautiful home

We loved the location and it was plenty big enough for us. We had no A/C and a pipe is leaking in basement had to place a garbage can to catch the water. Our A/C wasn’t an easy fix so it wasn’t fixed and it was uncomfortably hot and the pipe was never checked like they said. The hot tub is broke down to. Other than that we loved it

Perfect holiday getaway

We decided to do a rental this year for Thanksgiving and this was the halfway point for my family and my sister’s family. The kitchen had everything we needed to make Thanksgiving dinner for 8 people. And the amenities were great for ages 10-48! Everyone loved the pool table, foos ball, hot tub, and fireplaces. Plenty of lounging areas and we never felt cramped. This might become a holiday tradition.
