Beautiful state of the art kitchen opens to a cozy and relaxing sunroom with beautiful views of the Potomac River. Large deck off the sunroom gives way to private beach and pier. Enjoy beach games, smokeless
fire-pit, fishing and crabbing while taking in the abundant wildlife. Boat ramp close by and Historic Piney Point Lighthouse is a beautiful one mile walk away.

Great Spring Break trip!

My family had a wonderful 4 days in Piney Point. The house was perfect for us. Loved watching the sunrise and sunset over the river. An awesome place to stay!

Fabulous place.

What a pristine cottage on the Potomac! So peaceful, relaxing with beautiful views. Great kitchen and very comfortable beds. And a perfect location. Great walk to the Piney Point lighthouse. Highly recommend!

Return visit was great!

This was our second time staying at this home and couldn’t have been more pleased. Clean, well-decorated and well-equipped, quiet neighborhood, easy access to the water, and great location near St. Mary’s City and Solomons. Excellent communication from the owners. Definitely plan on returning again!

Another awesome weekend in Piney Point

This beautiful property is our family favorite! The owners are wonderful to work with and the cottage is perfect for our family. We love relaxing at the house, taking walks to the lighthouse- even in the rain- and spending time on the river.

Amazing property!!!

We loved everything about our stay. The cottage is so bright, comfy and cheerful. The hosts were very accommodating and obviously take much pride in their home. We have rented several properties in the area while visiting nearby family and this by far is our favorite. We hope it was the first of many more stays!

Amazing vacation home.

This house is beautiful and has everything anyone could ask for. The scenery is spectacular too. We enjoyed sitting outside watching the sun set, just listening to the water and enjoying a fire on the beach. The kitchen is any cook's dream! The owners are wonderful and communicated with us wonderfully. We would give it a 10 rating if possible and will certainly be back. One of our best vacations!

Piney point cottage

Beautiful home on a beautiful piece of property on the Potomac river. The cottage was roomy enough for six adults and very comfortable. We loved the openness of the house and of course the youth of the river were incredible and very relaxing?

Immediate Relaxation

Our family stayed in this home for a five day getaway. My husband began fishing within 30 minutes of our arrival. I was napping looking at the view before we even unpacked. The space is expertly decorated and was perfect for our family of five. The hosts are a kind and accommodating with sweet touches of hospitality. A great stay!

Perfect Labor Day stay

Great spot really close to Northern VA. The house was perfect size and layout for our small crew. Cleanest house I have ever visited and everything was comfy. We swam, fished and had a fire in the fire pit. Hummingbirds were everywhere which was a fun surprise. We really enjoyed our stay. Even though it is close to its neighbors it was still a very quiet visit. Would come back again no doubt. Thanks!

Another perfect stay!

Our family loves this property! It was our third time saying at this house and it was just as perfect as the previous stays. We have two small children who love splashing in the water and collecting seashells. We visited the lighthouse and took short trips to the Calvert Marine Museum and Annmarie Sculpture Gardens-highly recommend all! Grateful for such wonderful hosts. Our oldest looks forward to the annual “crab chips” at the beach from the welcome basket! Hope to make another trip next year.

Hot but Relaxing

Great property, beautiful home. I don't think the owner could have done anything about the 'extreme heat warnings', but that would have been nice. The most frustrating thing was the less-than-adequate internet performance in the entire area. Again, nothing the owner could help with. We wouldn't hesitate to return in the future.

Many Memories Made!

I don’t even know where to begin! Our stay from the moment we entered was fantastic. The home is absolutely beautiful and very well maintained. Although we only were in the house to sleep, it was extremely comfortable and welcoming. Outside is just a dream! My family and I spent ENTIRE days out on the dock. They enjoyed swimming, paddle boarding, fishing and crabbing. The hosts were very responsive and were quick to answer any questions we had. We will definitely return!

A little piece of heaven

We couldn’t be happier with our stay at Nick and Julianne’s house. The house is gorgeous (and very clean) and the view of the Potomac is beautiful. From the dock we saw cownose rays, blue crab and ospreys. We took our small sailboat out and saw dolphins hunting for lunch! It was truly magical. We were able to sail to Virginia few times, hung out on some deserted beaches and found some pretty sea glass. The location is also great. You’re minutes from a historic lighthouse and museum and a short drive to Leonardtown and St. Mary’s City. We can’t wait to come back!!

Perfect house, perfect location

As previous reviews mentioned, the picture does not match the actual interior. This is the best designed interior I have ever seen out of all the rentals I had even including some of the high end resorts. The owner has an eye for design, luxury, comfort and functionality. The powerful Wolf range is a huge plus for making great breakfast for kids. It is good for dinner too but we explored local restaurants. The yard is perfect for playing and relaxing. The landscaping kind of reminds me of California. The private beach and dock is great for the family. My son caught several fish.
