Charming, cheerful, and absolutely full of color, this oceanfront home in Folly Beach provides gorgeous views of the ocean and a fresh, unique ambience. Ideally situated right on the beach with private walkover access, this triplex home is made up of a three-bedroom, two-and-a-half bathroom upstairs and two separate one-bedroom, one-bathroom condos downstairs, with each of the three spaces offering its own kitchen and living room. It's the perfect spot for an extended family, a group of surfers, or anyone in search of beachfront fun. As you stroll back up from the beach each afternoon, you'll be greeted by outdoor showers (with hot water), expansive deck space, an outdoor bar, grills, a hammock, and a firepit. Inside, there's a private washer/dryer, high-speed WiFi, a Bluetooth stereo system, a Smart TV, and Sealy Posturepedic mattresses in each of the bedrooms.

Great spot for a family group

This house was perfect for our family group! This is our 5th year doing a family beach trip and this was the best house so far. Steps from the beach, great 2 tier deck space with lots of lounging options (in and out of the sun) plus a fire pit. Colorful murals on the outdoor walls. Home is 3 separate living areas- 3BR/3BA top floor, two lower 1BR/1BA suites - all spaces were very nice. All living zones had new furniture compared to the listing photos. Parts of the deck are also new compared to the photos. My family loved to have space to be together in the large family room/kitchen and have some privacy as well. Home was well insulated- family in the bottom suites couldn’t hear the baby cry at all overnight -(pack n play provided by the property). My husband commented several times about the great selection of cookware in the kitchen :) we grilled on the outdoor grill several times. Communication was great with the local team. Would definitely stay again!

Second time @ Funky Folly

Our second time at this home. Perfect location. Easy beach access. Stayed during turtle nesting season which we love. This house has everything you need. And Bert’s is a few blocks away for what you forgot.

Perfect home and location for a family

This property was perfect for our family of 11. We had a mix of adults and young children and the accommodations were great. The views were perfect, beach wasn’t too crowded and the house had everything we needed. The outdoor cooking and seating areas were great for mealtimes and the outdoor shower was incredible. This house made our vacation and we’d definitely stay here again!

Book it!

What a cool property! We had our family and a couple of friends. The “condos/suites” were perfect for our friends to have their own space. The upstairs was updated and clean. The tiki vibe of the whole property made it so fun- we made pinacoladas with the provided blender and enjoyed them on the bottom deck with the colored lights and cool decor. Such a fun experience. You won’t regret this one!

Second Year

This is the second year we've rented this house. Very fun decor. Lots of nice space to hang out outdoors including a bar with grill and a separate fire pit. Downstairs bedroom areas are very private with their own bath / showers. Very easy access directly to the beach. Would rent again.

Great house and location

We had a fabulous stay at Funky Folly! The house was even better than the pictures. It was in a great location, the outdoor spaces and outdoor shower made access to the beach and clean up after a breeze. We loved having many options for places to hang out on the various decks and used the fire pit for smores. The house was set with dishes, kitchen utensils and all we needed to prepare meals. We had adult children with plus a couple bonus “kids” and the two units downstairs worked perfect for them. The location on the beach was great and we rented a golf cart and bikes to get around Folly. Parking is limited in town, so it’s a great way to get around. We would definitely stay at Funky Folly again!

Excellent Location

Love the Funkiness of Folly!

We stayed for over a week and loved every bit of it! Such a great house for a group of 4 couples or small families. Well stocked with games great sound system tons of sitting areas, inside and out, very clean and comfortable. The unique decor and the color made us all feel happy all the time! I was afraid it might be too tacky but it is very tastefully done to fit the theme of the house. The beach is wonderful and you are right there easy to pop back and for to the house - especially with children. The 2 apartments on the lower level are nice however no heat so when the temp dropped to 40 degrees for 2 nights, we had to load them with extra blankets (which there were plenty) Also the showers are teeny but we had the outside shower to use instead and it is great. We would love to rent this charming house again!

Great Location and Set Up

This home has a perfect set up for families with multiple households. It has two apartments downstairs and a main area and bedrooms up. The coolest part is the fire pit and all the sitting areas in your backyard. Funky? Beachy? Yes. Beds are not king size. Vacasa is very responsive also.

Fantastic Funky Folly

From the moment we arrived we knew we had selected the perfect vacation spot. The house was spacious; clean and just what we needed for 4 families with little ones. The beach access was perfect. The outside shower was a blessing to keep the sand at the surf. The kitchen had every appliance and utensil we needed. The beds were comfortable. We even enjoyed every deck; hammock(s) and the fire pit. Before the week was over everyone wanted to know when we were returning.

Very Fun House Right On The Beach

We rented this house for a week for my extended family and everyone had a great time. Made great use of the firepit, outdoor bar/grill area, upper deck, and of course great access to the beach. The two bedroom areas downstairs have private entrances which was convenient. Cleaning crews came during the week to clean the exterior and take garbage containers to/from the street. Already booked again for next summer.

Beach Life at it's Best

We had a large party, so the extra kitchen spaces were great. Kitchens were well stocked. The outdoor spaces were wonderful. We loved the fire pit and the outdoor bar. Proximity to the beach was wonderful. Folly Beach is never crowded, so we pretty much had this beach space in front of the house to ourselves. The house was very clean, but still felt homey. It was comfortable and lived in. Some of our guests noted that the upstairs showers were cold. I think that management would have taken care of it sooner as they known. I wasn't aware until the end of our stay. The showers downstairs were warm. My favorite shower would be outdoor shower. It was very clean, one of the best al fresco shower spaces I have ever used. There were lots of linens, towels and changes of bed sheets. So many that they took up all of the storage spaces. There is very little space for clothing storage at the downstairs units. Overall we love the house

Family Celebration

We celebrated a 70th birthday and the birth of our grandson. Beautiful weather on Folly Beach and the absolute best location for beach time, swimming and relaxing. There is plenty of room for family members with the 2 apartments below and the huge deck looking out to the ocean. This place has a wonderful Folly Beach Vibe to it with everything colorful and nothing too fancy!
