My suite is located 5 minutes past Wright Memorial Bridge. Uniquely situated in a coastal preserve adjacent to a multi use path that will take you anywhere within Kitty Hawk, Duck or Kill Devil Hills. If you love biking, kayaking, surfing or just love nature this is the spot for you! A flight of stairs leads you to a private deck and entrance to an airy and spacious suite with everything you need to rest up for your daily adventures here on the beautiful Outer Banks. Byrd street beach access in Kitty Hawk is less than a ten minute drive with plenty of parking. All shopping and dining options are within a short bike ride or drive. We hope you enjoy the convenience and peace that our Bluebird Suite offers.

Peaceful and Perfect and Woodland Gem.

We loved our stay-close to amenities and short drive to OBX beaches. We were able to explore Corolla to Cape Hatteras. Our host took us on a bike trail through woodland area that was absolutely beautiful Her recommendation for local restaurants were spot on.on.Herrecommendation

OBX Vacation

The Bluebird Suite was a great place to stay in the OBX for a couple who want to be away from the hustle and bustle of the beachfront, but yet only a few minutes drive to the beach, restaurants and other attractions that the OBX has to offer! Colleen is a very hospitable and friendly host who goes above and beyond to provide for anything you may need while staying at her “homey feel” suite in the woods!👍😊

Wonderful Place to Stay in Kitty Hawk, NC

Property and host were great. This is a perfect place to stay for a quick trip to the beach. It was quiet, clean and host was so welcoming. There were some really interesting walks through the Reserve, so you can come to the beach, enjoy the beach and enjoy the woods.

Perfect eacape

We were looking for a place to just unwind and relax while the whole family was in the OBX. This little place fit the bill. The hostess was exceptional and allowed us to come and go without any issues. The room was comfortable, clean and just what we needed. We got to enjoy the family during the day, and then get away to relax on our own afterwards. Will definitely be going back again next year. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

Private, Quiet Getaway

Loved this cottage! Quiet and away from the main drag but close to whatever you need. Hostess goes above and beyond. Great balcony to relax on and enjoy the peace and quiet. Cottage had everything we needed. Would definitely come back!

Cozy and relaxing Blue Heaven

Had a wonderful stay with Colleen while visiting our family. The space was open and airy with all the extras needed for complete comfort. Warm and attentive, too, Colleen's kitty Gracie Lynn greeted us every morning on the porch and in the evening when we arrived back again. All very special. Look forward to a return stay soon.

Peaceful retreat

We were so happy to be right in the reserve. We enjoyed exploring the nature trails on the bikes provided. The deck was lovely and we enjoyed visits from Colleen’s cat while having our morning coffee. We tend to spend most of our trips out and about but it was lovely to have such a comfy place waiting for us each night. The decor was beach housy but not overdone. Lots and lots of trees make me happy. We recommend it.

OBX experience

The VRBO is very well kept, clean etc. The host supper nice and works to make your stay a good one. Some noise from down stairs but not enough to bother. The stairs are out doors and can be slippery in the rain. No kitchenette, was a bummer but there is plenty of places to eat nearby. About a Ten minute drive to the beach and the Avalon pier. 4 star overall

My suite is conveniently located two stoplights from Wright Memorial Bridge adjacent to Kitty Hawk Coastal Preserve. The space is peaceful and convenient to the beach (10 minute drive), Shopping ,Walmart, Harris Teeter (5 minutes) , Dining , Coffee ,Seafood, Italian (5 to 10 minutes) Public boat/kayak launch (5 minutes), Multi use path adjacent to property.
