Charming Woodland Cabin in a Coastal Forest Above the Fog
Visit OREGONCOASTCABINS.C0M for special offers! A unique and charming woodland cabin nestled in a coastal forest above the fog, just two miles from spectacular ocean views and beaches.
Sugar Mountain was designed and built by artist & architect Douglas Purdy, and features handmade doors & latches, a cozy wood stove, clawfoot bathtub, exposed beam high ceilings, upstairs sleeping loft, a fully equipped kitchen, and back porch with forest views all around.
A cozy double-bed bedroom on the main floor sleeps two, and you will find a comfy king size bed upstairs in the loft.
We offer fast reliable cable Internet and WiFi, with a Smart TV.
Located in the Cape Ferrelo neighborhood, six miles north of Brookings, Oregon, across from House Rock, Indian Sands, and Whales Head beaches. The cabin is surrounded by a serene forest with wrap around back porch, for taking in the forest and coastal fog.
The cabin has super fast wifi and good phone reception, a bluetooth stereo system, smart tv and the cabin stays cozy with both a wood stove and electric heat.
There is a 'smart tv' availble for you to sign into your own Netflix account (remember to sign out or others may use it!) or select 'Watch Free' from the main menu to choose from the many movies, tv, and music options
There is also a variety of puzzles in the kitchen cabinet for guests to enjoy!
This cabin was hand-built by artist Douglas Purdy, who was a bronze artist and local architect. You can see his handmade, one of a kind door latches, unique placement of doorknobs, and enjoy the exposed high beam ceilings, loft, low cabinets and toasty wood stove as he imagined!
Please be respectful of this cabin and the neighborhood. We have a lot of deer and wildlife, please drive slow on all gravel roads.
*Seasonal* The Woodstove is available for use in colder months. Firewood is located in the built-in bench in the entranceway. Take note of the fire extinguisher and donât leave fires unattended.
There is also electric baseboard heating if needed.
Return the key to the lockbox on the garage upon departure. Code will be sent after booking.

Johan and Liza are artists, foodies, world travelers and Geodesic Dome builders living on the Oregon Coast. Originally from Germany, Johan is passionate for organic gardening and cooking, while Liza is a full-time sculpture artist who goes by 'Wooliza'.

Sugar Mountain is truly a one of a kind cabin built by an amazing artist and architect Douglas Purdy. The craftsmanship and attention to detail is exceptional throughout the cabin, and we love cozying up in front of the woodstove or soaking in the glorious claw-foot bathtub.

Situated just above the Samuel Bordman Scenic Corridor, there are spectacular beaches, viewpoints, hikes and more all within two miles of the cabin. While not an ocean-view home, you can hear the ocean and enjoy the coastal fog that makes the Oregon Coast unqiue.
