Got the BIG CITY BLUES? Come relax at this quiet Casita and get rejuvenated. No traffic, No noise, only serenity and quiet. we offer a peaceful place to unwind.
Although the Casita is inland on the Mountain side of El Dorado Ranch, your stay at Casa de Katalina offers a view of the Sea to the east and the mountains to the west. It is a short drive, 2 miles, to the private beach on the Ranch and/or your choice of two pools with hot tubs.
The Casita offers a kitchenette, stove and a full-size refrigerator. If you prefer to eat at home, the pescaderias in town sell excellent fresh seafood for you to create your own favorite dishes. If you prefer eating out, we have lovely places to eat on the Malecon and around here too, From fancy to street tacos, you can find it in San Felipe, the home of the 1st Fish Taco!

If you feel like dancing, we have live music at the three great bars near the Casita that are less than 2 miles away, Frankie's Beach Bar & Grill, the Jolly Mon and the Brewery, Each are only 5 minutes from the Casita. There is also live music downtown, but if you don't feel like driving the 12 miles to the Malecon, those mentioned are only minutes away. And, they all serve food.
Minimum booking is 2 nights, maximum booking 7 nights unless previously approved by Owner. Casa de Katalina is a great place for a couple or an individual to stay and get away from the hustle bustle of Mexicali, Ensenada, Yuma or San Diego or anywhere else for that matter!
Let us accommodate your stay to San Felipe, Baja California, Mexico. LA CASITA sleeps maximum 2 people. Sunrises are incredible creeping up over the horizon of the Sea of Cortez. The magnificent sunsets to the west on the La Sierra San Pedro Martir Mountains are memorable. When it's time for a Full Moon you will be in for a treat as it comes up over the Sea.
If you book during the night of the Full Moon, El Dorado Ranch offers bocce on the beach to visitors (and that would be you) with FREE Mexican Hotdogs. And trust me, Señor Nacho makes the best hotdogs in town! It's a FUN event and a fantastic place to watch the moon rise in all its glory and meet folks from the EDR community. It could easily make your stay at Casa de Katalina a memorable experience!

Former owner of an Arizona ranch for over 10 years, The 4Lucky7 Ranch, Ms. Goforth boarded horses and also managed a seasonal condo rental that was nearby the ranch. She lived and loved the Western lifestyle of Arizona for almost 20 years. Thus, the Old West theme of the Casita. Katalina's trek started in Seattle, WA and just kept moving further south until she arrived in San Felipe. Covid and fresh seafood were heavy influences that led her to retire early by the Sea of Cortez where she owns a lovely home with an adjacent Casita. Katalina wishes to share her wonderful find with kind, generous, animal loving, clean and appreciative people. She is a great host, great cook, loves people, loves to dance and camping is an extra-longed for treat. Please come visit the Casa de Katalina. She guarantees you will want to come back to stay at the Ranch again in the future.

This property is not available for the long term, only the short term. Minimum 2 nights, maximum 7 nights per stay. What is offered is a relaxing abode away from the mainstream of your busy lives. Casa de Katalina is located on Paseo del Sol, the last gate from town, the first gate from Mexicali. It is quiet and a place you will have maximum privacy. Casita accommodates maximum 2 people. Come visit. Relax. Do what you need to do to unwind. Romantic, yes. Family orientated, yes. Pet friendly, yes. Katalina aims to please and wants you to enjoy this cozy little Casita enough to return time after time.

Requirements are to be notified ahead of time of all names of people staying. The make, model, color of your vehicle is required along with your Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA). We are are 24/7 gated community and need to provide details to Ranch Security with the details requested for entrance. and departure. Minimum stay is 2 nights, 3 days. Maximum stay is 7 nights, 8 days. I allot 3 days in between stays to clean and regroup. Children are allowed with certain restrictions. Pets allowed with strict restrictions. Extra payment for additional services will be requested in CASH (USD or pesos) at time of arrival before key is presented. Please note: this is a SMOKE AND DRUG FREE ENVIRONMENT and it is strictly enforced. We ask that you please be respectful of that rule on this property. Gracias amigos!
