Cute, quiet place to stay

Eclectic, quaint place with the necessaries and little amenities. Very comfortable, clean, and great response from host. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

Our hosts were so kind in the winter storm to allow us to stay past checkout since our flights were delayed. The house was perfect, classy & unique decor, perfect size home for my stay with my sister while house hunting for a home in Columbia, spotless, and very convenient location. Highly recommend! Hidden Gem cozy stay

Outside review: the neighborhood’s appearance will give 1st impression that it is a bad area. When I saw the Road Closed barricade and raggedy streets I almost said forget it. When you pull up to the house it is very dark. BUT the neighborhood is just old and worn it’s not bad at all. It’s extremely quiet and peaceful every night. I would suggest a sensor spot light for driveway just because it’s so dark. Don’t let the looks of the neighborhood turn you off it’s really peaceful and safe. The location is great to get to anything. Inside review: the house is warm and cozy with modern day features. Check in is great plenty of fresh towels and little extras. Bedrooms are large and spacious. Eating area and living room are spacious. House looks small from outside but is very spacious plenty of room for a group of 4-5 to stay and be comfortable.

Great property! The house is very clean and comfortable. It was perfect for a football weekend and visit with our college student. Everything was within a 10-15 drive. The neighborhood is nice and quiet. The hosts responded quickly and were very nice. Will definitely stay here again!

Stylish and comfortable!

This home is well decorated and appointed. Very clean and comfortable (loved the beds!). Communication was wonderful and the location was ideal for moving our student into the dorm at USC would stay here again.

Maintenance issues to be addressed

Decorated nicely with nice extra touches in the kitchen, but outside & bathroom needs maintenance. Overgrown shrubbery around entrance ways. Bathroom sink and tub faucets very loose along with a tile that came completely out and toilet seat improperly installed. Also to my dismay I had to install new shower liner myself because the one there when arrived had pink and black mold about 10” on complete bottom. Screen doors could be a nice addition since all windows painted shut so no fresh air can come into the house. Not sure why cleaners didn’t inform owners of this, which led me to feel only straightening is done between guests, not actual cleaning.

Eau Claire Artsy Abode

Overall this was a great property to stay at & the Hosts were amazing with their communication and hospitality. The location was in a neighborhood that overall was safe & conveniently located to my place of business & supporting destinations for food & leisure. There were multiple occasions though where loud music from neighboring properties and repeated sirens from police & ambulances cut through the otherwise serene atmosphere of this quaint, cozy & tastefully decorated home. I recognize that these are matters beyond the Hosts control & I wouldn’t rate the overall level of my stay harshly for this. All of the amenities were in perfect working condition...there were no pests or issues with bugs...all of the linens & bathroom amnesties were clean & of excellent quality! There was a number missing from the mailbox which made it difficult upon arrival to determine if I was a the proper location but that’s an easy fix. Having the gated area as well in which to park my personal vehicle and not have it parked on the street was also very much appreciated. Overall, I would book with this Host again if needed & highly recommended the Eau Claire Artsy Abode as a 4 star, top-notch Vrbo location!

The owner was very responsive. The house inside is decorated well. Plus they had all the amenities you could need. You do have to drive into town but in 10 minutes you are near the campus. Nothing is walkable but if you have a car then the spot is great. I would definitely return. Thank you so much for your lovely home.
