Sound-front Resort living in Pirate's Cove!

This beautiful, recently remodeled home is located within a 5-minute drive to the beaches of Nags Head, has new LVP floors, new carpet, granite counter-tops, and new stainless-steel appliances to go along with its extraordinary view. VL70 is non-smoking and is pet-free with 4 Bedrooms and 3 Baths (accommodating 12). Check-in and out is on Saturday only from May 1st to September 30th. Amenities include: Access to our community pool and fitness center, miles of lighted docks with a 30' boat slip reserved for you at Ballast Point Canal #86, tennis/basketball/volleyball courts and outdoor pavilion nearby, covered parking for boat or jet ski trailer, and sound-front private decks and pier. Top-floor and sound-front Master suite with King bed, jetted tub, and personal furnished deck. The 2nd Master suite is located on the entry floor with King bed and private bathroom. The 3rd Bedroom is located on the middle floor between the living level and top-floor and has a King bed and private access to full bathroom. The 4th bedroom is located on the living-level with a Queen-Sized Triple Bunk Bed. Additionally, there is a twin fold out bed. There are four 55-inch TVs, one in each bedroom and one in the living room. The homes has WiFi, games, bicycles, books, tennis rackets, beach supplies (boogie boards and beach umbrella), gas fireplace, fish cleaning station, grill and sound-front furnished deck. This home has a panoramic view of Roanoke Sound, outdoor shower, and parking for 4 vehicles maximum (If the trailer does not fit in the covered spot, it must be stored off-site for an additional fee).

Oct get away

We had a great time and fished off dock. Loved the location close to everything. We could tour during day and restaurant choices or cook at house. Weather was beautiful and even though it rained mostly over night, we had a great time!

Great Customer Service & Response Time

Had a small difficulty with lower bathroom. The response from the Pirates Cove associates was quick & the problem was resolved immediately.

Great house and location. Property needed a better cleaning… dirty refrigerator, floors, bunk bed had candy wrappers mixed in sheets, game pieces on floor. Felt the need to clean before unpacking.

Our Stay

Kitchen floor coming apart. Kitchen and dining room floor to the stairs was very dirty and housekeeping was called to come back. A small rug was damp and smelly and was in the bottom drawer of the downstairs bathroom. The mattresses on all three bunks were awful and need replacement. Lightbulb in one lamp in downstairs bedroom was missing.

So many dolphins

This house was the perfect spot for our family vacation. The house had everything we needed and the beds were super comfortable!! The views from the sound were amazing and I spent all last week watching dolphins swim up and down the sound. My perfect visit

What a wonderful surprise!!

When we booked our beach vacation, this home only had one very negative review, but we took a chance and booked it because we were planning a trip with family and just wanted to be at the beach after not being able to see each other due to Covid-19 and this was the only real option that could house all of us. The bad review was from a few years ago and the home has since been updated beautifully! It was gorgeous! The kitchen had everything you could possibly need. The house was clean and beautifully appointed. The views are gorgeous! The only negative was that the bottom mattress on the bunk bed sags a lot. We didn't need the space, so it didn't matter, but do not count on that sleeping 2 people. Maybe 1 child would be comfortable, but that's it. Overall, this was a fantastic rental and the new owners did an amazing job with their updates!
