It was great!

We had a blast! We had some trouble getting into the condo but other than that it’s a great location and the beach access was wonderful. The condo was very clean and cozy! 10/10 recommend!

Totally relaxed, totally awesome....

Excellent!!!

I really enjoyed my stay. The closeness of the beach was a big reason for staying here and it did not disappoint. The pool and jacuzzi were fabulous. Fully equipped vacation condo that met all our needs. The security of the condos made us feel very ssfe and all the residents were very friendly. I really liked how close the Wanna Wanna bar was for our entertainment and pleasure’ Highly rated stay!

Location is perfect

The beach is clean and the people in the building are wonderful. Everyone is helpful. Wanna Wanna is right next door. They serve good food and the employees are awesome! Will definitely stay again. Velma was so kind to us. We had trouble with weather and flight issues. She accommodated us and helped make our vacation a success.

Over all everything was good, the beach is located a very few steps away from the condo. The only 3 thing that I don’t like was that the room is not appropriate for 6 persons is more like for 4 peoples only ; 6 people are to mucho considering that is only 1 room and no closet at all, also there is not ice machine and extra towels for the condo.

Beautiful place right on the beach!

This property is advertised and so convenient to the beach and the wanna wanna beach bar. The pool and hot tub were nice and clean. The neighbors and winter visitors were all so friendly and fun to talk to. It’s a very clean stretch of beach and literally steps from the door. It’s so convenient you can even run right back in to the bathroom or to make another drink in minutes. We had a little cleaning issue upon our arrival and it was very initially a little hard to get ahold of the owner but once I reached her she corrected the issue.

The gate code is incorrect and we could not get in. Finally someone from the pool told us the code. The beach is under construction and was very inconvenient for visitors and we paid more for a beach front u couldn’t access from your condo. This was one of the reasons we stayed here as we didn’t want to lug are wagon, chairs, cooler and beach bag thru the sand as this is very hard to do. There is heavy equipment on the beach working day and night to add more sand to the beach. There is no information posted on the website that the beach is under construction. We would have gotten a condo further down to enjoy a relaxing quite beach vacation. The umbrella service is available at a charge per day. There was no umbrella service yesterday either as we heard a lot of people talking and asking about the chair and umbrella service. At least 2 miles of beach is roped off and not assessable. The sand is very hot too and people were complaining about their feet burning and we experienced that as well the day before having to walk further down just to access the water. There was a fire one night about 8:00pm and everyone had to be evacuated out of their condo to the street. The fire was 4 doors down from us. Luckily no one was hurt. There was smoke boiling out the condo on fire and the hallway. a neighbor frantically knocking on our door telling us the condo is on fire and to get out now. There was no Fire alarms in the bldg going off either. Thankfully we got out and back in safely.

Location was great and it was so nice to walk out to the beach. The condo was very clean. Pool and hot tub were clean and maintained well. When we arrived, we noticed there was broken tile in the kitchen floor and notified the host. She responded quickly. That wasn’t something that could be fixed right away so we did have to walk around it during our stay. I also contacted the host because the listing included beach towels and toys which were not in the condo. Again she responded quickly and offered to reimburse us for towels since the listing did include it. That was appreciated. Very little storage in the unit. Queen bed was very comfortable, however bunk beds and sofas were quite worn and uncomfortable for sleeping. Although the listing says sleeps 6, I would say 4 max. With a few updates on the beds, this place could be 5 stars.

Loved the Bungalow

The location is perfect-a few short steps from the sand and surf. The bungalow’s decor—upgraded light fixtures, tile work and kitchen made it feel upscale. We especially enjoyed the personalized touch like the oil paintings of local SPI icons, and the mini fans on all the beds. Thank you for sharing this beautiful bungalow with us.

Howdy! We are the Garcia Family. We have been blessed to be married some 25 years and have 4 children (okay not children anymore). When we became "empty-nesters" in 2018, we didn't know what to do with our time so we started traveling from our home in Cypress, TX to South Padre Island, TX every other week or so. We spent some time getting re-acquainted with the places where we had spent many "dates" when we first met. Anyhow, we decided to find a nice cozy but still lively place to land our feet at night. Our children spent a lot of time here growing up as well. So we were ALL comfortable with the decision to purchase our second home. Since we are not here all the time, we thought we would open our doors so that others could enjoy what we enjoy. Welcome.

Hello Y'all ! Welcome to our little getaway on South Padre Island. We are native Texans and have grown up on this Beautiful Beach! We have some of the best packing sand for sand castles, to beautiful sand dunes, waves and our sweetest turtles. Upon arrival you will notice the gorgeous views of the bay when crossing the bridge to get here. To the right you can see the old collapsed bridge with the new SpaceX in the background. To the left you can see paddle boarding, jet skis, fishing boats, parasailing and the exciting kite boarders flying in and out of the water! But then you get to the island and you will see restaurants galore with live bands everywhere. Spend the day under the Umbrella, visiting the turtles at turtle rescue or cruising the streets with bikes, skateboards, or golf carts. Its all fun! Watch the kites, surfers, boogie boarders or even a turtle rescue. Have your favorite drink... from either a coffee at one of the coffee bars to some perfect tea served at Grapevine (my fav) to some Turbo Pina Coladas or sip a cold beer. You do you! We chose our little place because it is just steps to the beach! Beach, umbrella, bar, and flip flops - need I say more? We do ride our bikes on the beach in the mornings with the sunrise and dance in the evenings bay side (usually Longboards) to see the sunsets. These are some of the most important times of the day! Beach Life.
