Christmas cheer 365 days a year With A short mile walk or ride to the sandy Carolina beach and boardwalk
you’ve now arrived to Pleasure Island. Our three bedroom and three bath home sleeps 6. One master suite downstairs with a king bed on main floor. There’s also another bedroom on main living floor with a full bed, and a large tv. On the second floor there is a queen suite which has a queen size bed, and a desk with a monitor, for all your viewing. There's also a 50” television. Queen suite also has an attached full bath. A theater room is also located on second floor, with 4 very comfy recliners, and 4 barstools for your convenience. First floor there’s a large open floor plan with living area, kitchen and a sit down bar. Laundry room also on main floor. This is the perfect spot for any weather. Whether it’s a trip to the beautiful beach, or pulling up a lounger poolside. If weather happens to not be cooperating
.a perfect spot for cuddling up with a blanket and sipping hot cocoa in theater room. Plenty of yard for little ones to run and play. Maybe even a fire in the pit, after dinner. Full access to home, with exception of garage and attic. Large fenced in yard with parking spot for rv/boat. Saltwater (not heated)pool(11’x20’) though temperatures aren’t always cooperative

The host was available at all times - no question was too small. The amenities were numerous between any and all cookware, spices, electronics, and sound machines. The decor was adorable and fit perfectly - a tree in every room. The theater room was the highlight. The outdoor area was spacious with wonderful sitting areas all around the house. Location of home is ideal - close enough to the beach and shopping spots. Overall, a wonderful girls’ weekend thanks to this beautiful home and its wonderfully helpful host. Will definitely return with my family in the future. Thank you MJ!

It was a perfect stay. We fell in love with the house and really enjoyed the pool and movie theater. We went to the state park very close by, the aquarium, the Kure Beach pier, and miniature golfing to name a few things. We loved the Christmas theme and the one thing that we all agreed upon is that we need to stay longer next time. Maryjo and hubby were the perfect hosts.

When we arrived, the place was nice and clean, it smelled like a cozy Christmas morning, and the decorations were amazing! I felt like a kid running around and turning everything on to see what it did! Lol thank you no I told him OK. Can you go on my eyes feathers? They might have come over on the side. It hurts when you’re walkingWe will definitely be there staying again. MJ was so responsive and thoughtful. My daughter had a bit of trouble sleeping because the cars were a little loud at night, but the neighborhood overall, was very quiet. We didn’t have any issues at all. The pool was beautiful and clean. The cinema room was very cool and we really enjoyed watching a movie in there! The house was really well stocked and we did end up doing some cooking there. We had everything we needed and more!

This was the best experience we’ve had when staying in someone’s else’s home. The owners have thought of everything someone would need in their vacation. This home is so beautiful and welcoming. Summer Holiday

Wonderful stay! Began with a lovely note and Christmas ornament
so nice! Kids immediately enjoyed the pool while we settled in. Easy drive to the beach, no problem parking on Texas Ave, and great beach privacy. House had everything you could think of needing! Loved this trip!

So festive!

Our group consisted of me, my husband and 9 year old son, and my parents. We absolutely loved the Christmas decorations. It was so festive and fun. We celebrated Christmas in July with movies in the theater and lots of swimming. The outdoor lights were great and my son loved night swimming. The house had everything we could have needed. I definitely overpacked! I highly recommend this property. The host was super communicative and friendly. We are already thinking of visiting again.

Just what we were looking for!!

Words can’t describe what a beautiful home this was. From the Christmas decorations to the amazing backyard and move room! My teenage kids loved this home!! Every moment felt like we were right at home and the owners literally thought of everything and then some that one might need!! I would absolutely recommend 10 of 10!!

10/10 Recommend to anyone who enjoys the magic of Christmas all year round!

We are from Ohio (about 10hrs away)- so of course we were exhausted by our drive down here but as soon as we opened the front door we knew this place was going to be incredible! The warm, ambient light and a welcoming Santa greeted us upon our arrival- just like we stepped into another beautiful and magical world- this was a perfect way to start our vacation! The decorations really brought back the joy of celebrating Christmas with our families back home and memories of those who are no longer with us here in the physical world. I’ve never felt more at home in someone else’s place- than being at my own home. We were so appreciative of the welcome book with easy navigation of rules and recommendations for our stay. Dan and MJ were incredible hosts and the added details throughout the home to welcome us really added an extra level of magic to our experience here. I honestly don’t think there are enough words to describe the feeling of warmth, coziness, magic and happiness that we experienced on this trip! We cannot thank y’all enough for creating such a wonderful place to make memories with the people e we love! We are so very fortunate to have come across your page on VRBO- for sure this place has been the cherry on top for this vacation! We hope to be back soon! PS thank you for the restaurant recommendations- my hubby and I loved Fentoni’s pizzeria and Michael’s Seafood!

Overall a great experience!!!

House was great and very clean, just as described. The pool was nice and clean and the backyard was perfect and we utilized it alot. Kids really enjoyed the theater room and spent every night watching movies. Overall experience and the house was perfect. If i ever had a question during my stay i had no problem getting ahold of someone and getting a quick response. Great host and very kind people. We all are already talking about going back next year. Cant wait to be back!

Fun Girl's Weekend

We had the best time at this home. The pool was perfection and home was gorgeous and clean! The owners were perfect hosts that checked in on us throughout our stay. We had so much fun having Christmas in July. We will definitely be back!

Wonderful place to stay

The home is perfect for a family getaway. The home is exactly as advertised. I was able to walk to the beach. My kids loved the Christmas decorations. Easy communication with property owner. We really enjoyed the pool and the movie room. The home is well stocked when we first arrived and we did not have to immediately go to the store. We will be back for sure.

Christmas Beach House

Always have a Great stay when we come to Wilmington. MJ and her husband have a Awesome House. They have everything you need for your stay and I mean everything !! This is our second time staying with them but first time in this new house. So close to the main drag and beaches. You can literally walk there if you want.

We choose Carolina beach because it was our goal for the past 25 years. Such a great little island. From any spot on the island, it’s an easy walk or bike ride our beautiful sandy beach.

Who doesn’t love the magical feeling of Christmas. I believe Christmas feeling is part of the heart, and staying here you just feel that every day.
